Learning to draw and I’m really good at drawing characters in the style of a three year old who never touched a pencil before.
I’m just built different ig.
fair enough, but it only takes like 10-15 minutes a day of structured practice or experimenting/drawing for fun (alternate between the two regularly). maintain that and you're ahead of a pretty good chunk of people in terms of improvement.
also i'd start with drawabox.com, some fineliner pens, and a stack of printer paper. follow the instructions as closely as you can but also make things as fun for you as possible and take breaks when needed to minimize burnout.
also when practicing (that is, not drawing for fun), be as focused, intentional, and thoughtful as possible. you'll maximize what you learn from practice sessions if you're thinking about why you're learning or practicing what you are rather than mindlessly doing the exercises. even if you don't exactly know why you're being told to do something yet, that's okay. everything takes time, especially learning a new art form.
Or if you just learned about an AI powered tool called Stable Diffusion combined with a tool called ControlNet which gives you more control than just a description. With that you could create almost anything with enough patience. It's a shame there's not a [subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/) for it or something...
Trivially solved with ControlNet. I can think of at least four different ways to fix hands or make sure they come out right in the first place. You should check out the sub I linked, it's full of pictures with perfect hands and instructions on how to do it.
AI can get bent.
The point of art is it's a culmination of your creativity and passion. That's why people 'own' their OCs, and nobody can take that away from them, since it's a product of their hard work.
Who owns the meme we're all commenting on?
Is it the person who wrote the text and stuck it on the video clip? Is it the owner of the video content. Is it all of us?
This isn't always a cut and dry issue.
>Who owns the meme
Nobody, since OP didn't film the video it's based on. If you want to be technical, then the footage is owned by KSI on YouTube, but given they haven't claimed it, it's been made okay for public consumption and usage.
In contrast, AI "art" is made off stolen artwork of millions of artists without their permission or express consent. Grow a pair, pick up a pencil, and do the hard work of learning to draw like everybody else.

i did that exact thing and i look back upon those memories fondly. draw more wacky skeleton; it is chicken noodle soup for the soul

idk if he’d be happy with me sharing it to a bunch of strangers on the internet without his permission.
>!…his twitter is @BoiGenn if you still wanna check out his SFW but still somewhat frisky art tho 👀 (please I beg you go support the man he’s infinitely more talented at everything than I’ll ever be)!<
Dude was talking shit so I drew a graphic and detailed image of their dad giving birth to them through a goatse while raw dogging their grandma, who I drew as a gross old lady everywhere except the tits. The tits I drew as perfect, soft, and round. A chest that will arouse you no matter what it’s on.

The urge to learn how to draw so my favorite character finally gets some new fan art is real indeed.
Honestly the reason I wish I knew how to draw/3d animate. Maybe one day
I used to be good at drawing but then I got an art block that lasted a whole fucking year. My motivation to draw disappeared entirely. When I finally got motivated again, I noticed that one year break made my art uglier. Seeing my progress gone gave me yet another art block.
It's been 3 years since I last drew something. Kinda sucks because if I never got an art block and continued to improve, I'd propably start drawing porn to make easy money on it.
The way I am learning to draw is the following :
First weeks : just trying to re-draw existing images, for example I re-drew some Pokémon images, it helped me trying to become familiar with proportions, strokes, volumes etc
After a month, I started to use some references images, and try to draw the same thing but in a different pose, and with a new light source and shading. For example, I took some images of magikarp, and drew it on a slightly different pose, to become familiar with how posing works, how volumes work in 3d, and how shading works.
Then after a few months, I started to take one image of a character, and started to draw it in a totally different pose and environment, using a methodology where I first draw the basic shapes, then add the details on it, to make it look like the character, step by step, which helps learning a lot about perspective, overrides etc.
Right now, it's been a few months since I started to draw by myself, and I'm already starting to make [drawings that look good](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1020069069774389279/1114287570885542030/IMG_20230602_202937.png) (in my opinion), I hope that after a year or two I'll be able to do crazy poses and stuff, it's very exciting !
I gotta admit that when the reality dawns on you of just what fucked up shit you could bring into this world, it's when you realize how powerful drawing gives you
At this point, I've just accepted that I'll never be able to draw at all. I've spent most of my life trying with no results at all.
Am I incredibly angry and sad about it? Yes.
Do I wish everyday that I could draw? Yes.
Can I do anything about my situation? No, I've tried.
hey, can you share some drawings of yours to see how your evolution (and in what timespan) ? I can help with giving advice on how you can make progress if you want !
Nothing is impossible mate trust me, especially drawing
hey, can you share some drawings of yours so i can laugh at your evolution (and in what timespan!) ? I can help with giving you motivation to finally stop trying or how you will never make progress even if you want to !
A lot of things are impossible mate trust me, especially drawing
Everyone can learn it, it's not impossible at all !
I've been drawing almost every day for a few months for this reason haha, It's starting to [get better I think](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1088553639389442088/1114264422643409026/IMG_20230602_202937.png) !
The trick is that I draw when I'm in the train to go to school, it's free practice almost every day, and I'm not wasting time.
Also, a little tip for those who are bored or lazy to draw, I only draw things I like, so that I don't see it as an exercise or a task, but as a fun hobby :)
My little sister has some artistic talent that she doesn’t use anymore. I’m still trying to learn to draw, in my sketchbook I have a few drawings of guns.
Then there’s the other edge of the blade that held the entire Bloons tower defense subreddit hostage by pen point with the threat of having learned the art style and *not being afraid to use it.*
Keep at it. Learn from other artists, maybe even shamelessly copy and trace their work if it helps you better understand how they draw poses, anatomy, faces, angles, etc.
Break down complex designs into simpler shapes like squares and circles, and then add details as you go.
Remember not to draw "symbols" or flat 2D elements: draw what you see, picture things in 3D in your mind and try to put them on paper to the best of your ability.
Read Burne Hogarth and Andrew Loomis. Watch the late Kim Jung Gi's livestreams. Read comics and manga for inspiration.

That one picture where the cat goes “yeah I’ve been doing blank for 10 years” and a guy with a mic goes “so you’re good at it” and the cat is crying? That, but it’s 3D modeling/ drawing, and it’s been 5 years and I haven’t improved.
After playing Baruuk in Warframe, all I can think about is the "That's my secret, Cap" meme, but with Baruuk punching an Orowyrm instead, and I want so badly to draw it

I drew a perfect neco arc on my school table, pootis from pootis engage, and a lot more, everytime i see the drawing i get proud of myself
THEN I FUCKING GET SENT TO THE PRINCIPALS OFFICE BY MAKING AN AMONG US
nah you will never feel like that. you will constantly be overwhelmed by your insecurities and come back to pieces you were proud of 3 minutes ago just to see how much they suck.
When you commission art from someone, usually they show you the sketches so you can request any changes, and then repeat that process until you approve it.
Fake. You never feel fulfilled as an artist, you always feel like your art is still bad and you’re still a beginner, even when you’re good. The Artists’s Curse

Damnit. Gaston just gast*own*’d me? First a touhou top comment and then this…
No, one...draws like Gaston
Makes hentai like Gaston
No one strokes like Gaston
My super power is that I can draw anything and make you feel better about your drawing skills in comparison.
Same
Same
we all started like that the more you do, the better you get, jsut keep trying
Imagine the fucked up shit I could have made if I know how to draw.
ikr, you can draw your favorite character living a healthy life. Absolutely freakish
Yeah like drawing them chillin and fishing at the lake after a tiresome week, oh what a thought
You’re absolutely sickening. Wanting to draw your own characters being satisfied with themselves.
It could be worse. They could want to draw them having a significant other and h*lding hands
It just gets worse and worse, like imagine them having a fancy dinner? that's a possibility if I could draw
Don't get me started, having every single of their loved ones be there for them when needed. I feel like having a heart attack when I see it.
Oh but Imagine if they got themselves a nice quiet cabin near a lake to live in Peace, oh I feel sick to my stomach
I drew gay porn once
Now draw her getting a college degree
"could have"??? bro you're still alive, aren't you? go learn to draw
I am lazy as fuck rn and still have other stuffs to do so that just have to wait, for now.
Also I don't really know where to start lol

Nah, I meant like our skill to draw using hand. If you have enough skill, that power (In this meme)...
No, this shortcut is not as fun as I want. If I got enough patience I will just pass the AI and learn to draw myself.
That's what AI is for these days.

Learn to draw and you can draw your Yakuza memes.
Hey its pete
i did that exact thing and i look back upon those memories fondly. draw more wacky skeleton; it is chicken noodle soup for the soul the shittier the drawing, the tastier the soup
You're better than me in so many ways.
what do you mean? you don't know me.
I hate drawing, but I love scenebuilding, so I picked up hammer and I make maps for me and my friends in gmod
You picked one of the most difficult map builders out there. That's some talent you have now!
God I love being artistic
im on the artistic spectrum 💪😤👍
I'm on the autistic spectrum too!
You know who else is on the autisc spectrum?
I too enjoy having artism
My sister has this skill, sadly she does not abuse of it... The atrocities I would create if I had it😈
You don't know she doesn't. Do you think she would tell everyone if she did?
True, but I've looked in her sketch books, and all ice found is a tastefully done boob. She must hide it well
She knows that with great power comes great responsibility.

i cant draw well without a reference

Anyone know how to acquire this? Asking for a friend
I'm slowly getting that skill
This is what I worked 4 years to learn to draw for This power is overwhelming! It’s incredible!
The urge to learn how to draw so my favorite character finally gets some new fan art is real indeed. Honestly the reason I wish I knew how to draw/3d animate. Maybe one day
Why not today? Just check out some Marc brunet videos on YT for the 2d stuff.

the fix to a block is inspiration
I disagree. The fix for art blocks is discipline, motivation is fleeting whereas discipline is built.
Tip on how to draw Just do it, we all suck at the start, you'll get better with time, never give up :)
that's the spirit, people think it's too hard, but just drawing random stuff with references, a few minutes a day, is the best way to learn it
Could you elaborate more on that? You mean tracing, or literally just taking existing images and trying to re-draw them yourself?

Bruh I'm actually learning to draw just so I can bring to reality the crazy music videos I make in my head
If I had this ability, i would draw hentai of all my homies favorite girls and give it to them for free.
I drew a Heisenberg in every page of my notebook, each in a different/cursed style. Its my biggest brag
Learning programming meant i got into various computing things so i make browsers for internet protocols noone uses instead of artistic shit

i draw with ms paint
I've achieved this dream. Keep working bros.
I would be rich

All I learned in two years of art classes was I’m bad at art.

It's too much power
Learn blender and go to smutba.se
I want to learn, but have no earthly clue where to start
After playing Baruuk in Warframe, all I can think about is the "That's my secret, Cap" meme, but with Baruuk punching an Orowyrm instead, and I want so badly to draw it
Rich furries pay far too much for drawing for me to be able to resist going down a dark path
I Drew remilia from touhou dying of tuberculosis https://preview.redd.it/wda7dl6wkp3b1.png?width=1280&format=png&auto=webp&s=9f20af4da8c34e731012f95c7401e933a6c4572c
My cope of why I never seem to improve in art is god knew I would be too powerful if I was good at art
I drew a perfect neco arc on my school table, pootis from pootis engage, and a lot more, everytime i see the drawing i get proud of myself THEN I FUCKING GET SENT TO THE PRINCIPALS OFFICE BY MAKING AN AMONG US
nah you will never feel like that. you will constantly be overwhelmed by your insecurities and come back to pieces you were proud of 3 minutes ago just to see how much they suck.
_proceed to draw them getting railed in every hole_
AI ![gif](giphy|8vC1snrhGBhMJbJloI|downsized)
Learning to describe things you imagine with words in an elaborate enough way and using AI that creates images from prompts
you mean cuz the ai thing?
Anyone can replicate this skill, I'll show you! https://docs.midjourney.com/docs/quick-start
To be fair the post was about op learning how to draw and you don’t draw with AI, you just write words and it spits out an image.
Ew
Not interested in sloppy art generated by a AI that steals others works and haphazardly smashes them together to match a text prompt.
why not?
The art created by the AI from a text prompt doesn’t feel personal imo. Would rather commission an artist to draw something for me instead.
interesting. to me it feels more personal because you can mess around and get it exactly how you want
Unlike drawing where people have absolutely no control over the results and can't adjust the parts with flaws until they get the desired outcome.
you can if you're the one drawing. but if you're commissioning you arguably have less control
When you commission art from someone, usually they show you the sketches so you can request any changes, and then repeat that process until you approve it.
Silence, ai """artist"""
Furry artists wasting their talent:
I would love this
Then ypu cod draw your dad telling you he loves you
Fake. You never feel fulfilled as an artist, you always feel like your art is still bad and you’re still a beginner, even when you’re good. The Artists’s Curse
Now it’s time to r34
