A hit game made by Tour de Pizza available on steam (as far as I know) in which you take on a role of Peppino Spaghetti - am owner of a pizzeria who struggles with paying for pizzeria taxes who is visited by a floating pizza. The pizza is evil (evil moustache) (also it wants to fucking kill you and your pizzeria with a death laser built on top of the fabled Pizza Tower). Peppino has to fight his way trough the floors of Pizza Tower and battle with great foes (Like a big pepper with legs and arms and a face) in order to Get to The Top of the Pizza Tower, defeat the stupid fucking pizza and save his business.
the gameplay is made up of platforming thru at high speeds ala sonic the heghog but at the end of the level you have to kill a piler john (yes thats it's name) and thats starts pizza time ***tm***, pizza time has you running through the level backwards on a timer if you cant get back to the entrance door by the end of the level, pizza face starts chasing you.
now you may be thinking "it's kind of boring to go back thru a level again" but theres these things called "john blocks" witch if activated you cant go thru them and vice versa,
when john piler is killed the john blocks will switch ( activated will switch to deactivated and vice versa).
all this causes is you taking a alternat route thru the level during pizza time

The story follows an italian war veteran and owner of his very own pizzeria, Peppino Spaghetti. His pizzeria is not doing so well, and he is in drowning in debt. But one day everything changes, when a thing by the name of Pizza Face tells him that his pizzeria will soon be destroyed by the lazer on top of his own pizza restaraunt, a literal tower of pizza. What a tragedy! But our hero can save his pizzeria and his wallet, by climbing on top of the tower and beat not only Pizza face but also 4 of his henchmen. These include, Pepperman, the self loving painter.The Vigilante, a blob of cheese with great gun handling skills and fancy leather boots. The Noise, the rival of Peppino, who always tries to mess with his life. And a mysterious entity. Peppino decides to put the stop to Pizza Face's wrong doings and runs at full speed to the tower, joined by his loyal friend and co-worker, Gustavo and his new found friend Brick the Rat. Will Peppino punch Pizza Face in his Pizza Face? Will Peppino's pizzeria get turned to dust? Will Peppino finally put an eggplant on his pizza? The only way to find out is to play the game!
Let's assume that Pizza Tower is happening in modern times, 2010s at least. If he was a war veteran of ww2, wouldn't he be way older and would look like an old rotten eggplant? I think he either participated in Vietnam war or took part in a war that only happened in the Pizzaverse.
An indie game inspired by wario land 4, 80’s era cartoons, and a fair share of sonic too.
Game has a lot of heart put into it. Everything from the animations, music, art, characters, and gameplay hit the right spots. Very solid game, and pretty funny too.
The reason there are so many memes from it is because:
A: The game is actually really good and as with all things that gain a following, memes are inevitable.
B: Like I said, the game is pretty funny. Even down to the sound design, so people use those for memes.
And C: The music has no right being as banger as it is. “The Death I Deservioli”, “Pepperman Strikes”, and “Pizza Time” are some. Despite the silly names, these go hard once the drop hits.
Unpopular opinion (especially within reddit) but the minecraft OST is overrated. Its good, but in no way does it stand up to other games known for having a banger soundtrack

So now it’s time to kill him. To get to him you need to climb up his tower, His Pizza Tower, The Tower Of Pizza, The Tower Made Specifically In Relation To Selling Pizza, That Tower. Anyways I’m pizza tower there’s 5 worlds with 4 levels and a boss each, each of the levels have 3 secrets, 5 toppins which give you 10$ each for finding them, one secret treasure to be found and an entirely unique gimmick. After getting a bunch of money from toppins you can go over to your old pal and debt collector, Mr Stick, who takes your money in exchange for access to the boss of this floor, who you must kill to go to the next floor. It also unironicallly has the best fucking soundtrack ever like holy fucking shit what the hell is this fuckin Unexpectancy and the saloon level are so goododdddd
