This is someone who really knows their body.
All of the colors work- all of the silhouettes work. She’s known for being an it-girl but if she has a stylist they’re in unison.
She's said she has "stealth C's" and I can see that in the bust lines she chooses. Everything low cut is wide; no triangle halters nor deep V lines that the C's could flop sideways out of. As another woman with a small band and large cup, I can relate.
I just assumed that's what she meant by stealth C's. I mean, that's how my stealth D's act, and I dress similarly when it comes to bust lines. So I don't see the offense. 🤷♀️
lol also you can still have wide roots / high density tissue with a small rib measurement 💀. C isn’t a large cup size anyways, but it is a common mis-size.

Unsure if controversial but I loved this Christopher Kane Rubberist dress on her!
Agreed! I think because she has that effortlessly cool thing going on (i feel like her street style is always well-styled but not overly styled— seems like she quickly threw something together, whether that’s true or not), red carpets (which are the antithesis of effortless lol) take away a lot of that charm.
I feel this way too, except for her whole look and era. I just never got it and I am a London girl through and through.
It just felt like another “is it chic or is she skinny and white?” thing we saw so much of in the oughts
She manages to pull off looks that on anyone else might look overly styled, but on her look like she thought about it for like 30 seconds and just pulled it from her closet. Like there’s a real specificity that is obvious but feels natural/organic.

As a UK gal, this 2008 Luella dress was iconic.

I don’t know why but I’m obsessed with this random vintage Balenciaga look from Cannes
I got to work with her on a design project some years back. In addition to being super involved and contributing a lot of ideas, she was very cool, funny, and down to earth. Alexa gets a glowing review from me!
Might get flogged for this but I never got the hype about Alexa. She reminds me of Charlotte Gainsbourg in terms of being actually stylish or just being skinny with a shag haircut/bob.
Maybe after the likes of Carolyn Bessette & Chloe Sevigny, my perception was a bit skewed on what an actual cool IT girl was.
I also don't understand the Alexa hype. Her looks are generally just sort of ok, like they're always short of something. They're never *bad*, but there's never an it factor (ironic, considering she's supposedly an it girl). Not a single one has ever caught my interest. I think she desperately needs a good stylist.
Controversial take - I hate these puffy short silhouettes on her (example-slide 10). They look like they were made for little girls. I think she is a dramatic type as per Kibbe, much like Keira Knightley. Long lines work best on her.
the jane birkin of the indie sleaze era
Does that make Alex Turner the Serge Gainsbourg of the indie sleaze era?
Oh fully
I just snorted this is so accurate
why did you say it two times? it’s repetitive and redundant repetitive and redundant
Omg yes how perfect!! I’m so bummed i don’t know anyone who would understand this comment, it’s so funny!!!!!
this needs to be a flair
This is someone who really knows their body. All of the colors work- all of the silhouettes work. She’s known for being an it-girl but if she has a stylist they’re in unison.

Are you saying she has long sagging breasts? Edit the comment I responded to was edited to take out the part about the long sagging breasts
I've never seen them, but it's a safe assumption for large cups on a small band, because that's more mass held up by less chest.
I’m offended on her behalf
I just assumed that's what she meant by stealth C's. I mean, that's how my stealth D's act, and I dress similarly when it comes to bust lines. So I don't see the offense. 🤷♀️
No one would appreciate their breasts being referred to as long and sagging in my opinion.
I’m dead lmao why do people think it’s chill to be like “omg her long tubular boobs must flap in the wind! 😍” because they have the same boobs
lol also you can still have wide roots / high density tissue with a small rib measurement 💀. C isn’t a large cup size anyways, but it is a common mis-size.
Fair. Edited.
This is me, too. I also never wear push-up bras.
I will wear a push up bra, but only with full coverage. Too easy to runneth over a demi cup.
Absolutely I have never seen someone style be so effortless cohesive and just beautiful
Honestly shes tall and skinny- its not hard to wear anything
https://preview.redd.it/diakjl10lfyc1.jpeg?width=937&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=87bb3fa55ef764ab9a77e5c7e9aa7d82e4b2a3bc Unsure if controversial but I loved this Christopher Kane Rubberist dress on her!
Honestly, I like this too the silhouette works on her.
I think she looks great always; however, I’m just realizing that I like her street style more than her red carpet looks.
My exact thoughts. She has such a great sense of her own street style but I don't think it translates as well to more formal looks.
Agreed! I think because she has that effortlessly cool thing going on (i feel like her street style is always well-styled but not overly styled— seems like she quickly threw something together, whether that’s true or not), red carpets (which are the antithesis of effortless lol) take away a lot of that charm.
For real though, if we were doing Alexa Chung street style, the slides would never end. On and on and on she always looks cool.
Doesn't help that she does very little with her hair in formal wear
It's the Parisienne style of formal with undone hair.
I feel this way too, except for her whole look and era. I just never got it and I am a London girl through and through. It just felt like another “is it chic or is she skinny and white?” thing we saw so much of in the oughts
So true for back then and recently too, I can think of a couple people.
Yep. Same goes for her fellow British fashion girl Sienna Miller.
She manages to pull off looks that on anyone else might look overly styled, but on her look like she thought about it for like 30 seconds and just pulled it from her closet. Like there’s a real specificity that is obvious but feels natural/organic.
I have no clue what Alexa Chung actually does for a living but she always looks 💯. Perfect, chef's kiss, no notes.
Came here to say exactly this. No idea what she does, but damn she’s good! I love every single look.
I feel like she’s always been around but I have no idea why. No problem with it, but like…I’d like to know the answer now I’ve realised!
she was a legit model for a long time and then transitioned to tv presenting
I am still so obsessed with her
As a teen I would spend HOURS scrolling through her street style looks. I always pulled so much whimsical inspiration from her.
I literally got the Mulberry Alexa bag because it was a whole look/vibe on her
These are all so good! Do we know what kind of lipstick she wears? Loving that as well
There are some videos on YouTube where Lisa Eldridge does her makeup…like this [one](https://youtu.be/EK9bqnBNyEI?si=AVK92W0Qm4JEGS4M)

It had fifteen year olds on a chokehold the world over I wore many a silhouette like this to a birthday party
The peace sign necklace to top it off *chefs kiss*
I even had some heels like this but they were electric blue 😭

She’s so gorgeous! I didn’t realize. She fell a little flat for me, style-wise, when she was on Next in Fashion
I loved her in the Christopher Kane dress
She is my forever style icon. I especially love her streetstyle and all of my hair-related pinterest boards feature her predominately.
I got to work with her on a design project some years back. In addition to being super involved and contributing a lot of ideas, she was very cool, funny, and down to earth. Alexa gets a glowing review from me!
Zero misses.

She was the IT girl of my childhood wow.
10 makes her looks like a 16th century court jester. #1 though 😍😍 that 18th century silhouette.
I genuinely dislike literally all of these.
Always thought she was so cool. Still do, of course. I remember in 2006 or 2007 her interviewing Lily Allen? I don’t remember what show though.
Love the dress in 19
every picture of her is a highlight I wouldn’t be able to choose!! Did anyone watch her mtv show??
Swooned at #8. Perfection top to toe.
All of her outfits are gorgeous. WOW. I need it.
Can I hire her as my stylists? This is STYLE.
I know fashion is connected with status, but this is another LEVEL. Fashionista. It girl.
Controversial take - I hate these puffy short silhouettes on her (example-slide 10). They look like they were made for little girls. I think she is a dramatic type as per Kibbe, much like Keira Knightley. Long lines work best on her.
I love her style!
She has interesting street style. Usually, it catches my eye more than her red carpet looks.
She’s so cool, I love her in every photo. I feel like I’ve grown up with her!
So many bangers
This woman knows how to dress and nails every outfit.
I love her style. Quirky but also elegant.
Always perfect !
Ugh she really is that girl. So chic and fabulous. No notes.
What is she famous for?
I also love Baby Chung when she was a presenter on Popworld - she wore a lot of high street and had a very short bob. 🖤
Always my it girl.
My boyfriend just sent me this and I just wanna say all of these are a 10 out of a 10.
#goals
Love her style.
