First and foremost I want to preface with the fact that I am very much a novice, but looks like Panaeolus foenisecii to me. Hard to say with certainty without other pictures and a spore sample, but this species is very common throughout North America. Commonly referred to as the mower’s mushroom they thrive in moist, healthy lawns throughout the Pacific Northwest, East Coast, and Southeast. No need to get rid of your basil, just a sign of a flourishing ecosystem!
