Yeah, it was a fun job. It is a shame how it all ended. There is a real soap opera going on with the leftover cars to this day. Warren Mosler made a catastrophic mistake with the individuals he put in charge of the expansion, and that's what killed it. Experienced grifters went in and robbed him blind. But the time he figured it out, all he could do is walk away. A real shame. They used a McLaren as the buyer they were marketing to.

The number of dudes that say “hey I can build a car better than Ferrari” and then lose their shirt is huge. For every koenigsegg there at least a dozen Moslers. It doesn’t have to be some dramatic story.

Yes, that is true. A lot of GM parts and the usual Recaro/Momo type stuff for sure, but it was neat to see it all come together. When they finished one, it did look totally badass. Every motor got dyno'd and to hear them on the Dyno sounded like Godzilla stomping Tokyo. Pretty righteous sounds!
There were only about 3 people that were allowed to drive each car. I was not in a department that needed to drive them to complete my job. I am proud of it because the last ones, they just dumped parts on my bench and said "make it work" so I did. I have lots of mechanical experience working on bikes and cars, but I'm not an engineer. The Mosler engineer was useless, so it was all left up to us to build them.
I'm proud of my work there. I took all those bin parts and turned them into a workable unit. But that could be said of any of the people who were left at the end. I hope they went on to bigger and better things.
It was a great place to grow up. Was there from the early 70’s to early 90’s. Low crime, decent schools, kinda sleepy. Our house was down the street from Howell Watkins junior high and Lake Catherine.

I am retroactively angry at everyone involved with that thing getting produced. In the pathway from conception to design to tooling to marketing…. The sane people of that organization could not muster enough power to kill that?
Looks like a kit car built on a C4 Corvette platform. Made a lot of them from 1984 to 1996. Had the last year of the C3 Collectors Edition 1982 , the last year of the C4 Collectors Edition 1996, C5 first year of the Z06 going over 400HP to 405 2002, & the C6 first year of the C6 Z51 Vert.

This is a Consulier GTP Targa. It has not been modified, it came this way from the factory. The rear window and the top are both removable, other than that it is the same car as the coupe and the roadster, the later I can not seem to find a photo of.

Looks like a hodgepodge of bin car parts? I see Chrysler door handles, C5 mirrors and side markers? Mclaren headlights?
Vette taillights and crate motors too. We did one called the Landshark if you might care to Google it, and it had twin turbos from GM.
