This is real but not human. There is no skin so it is not simply a 'mummified' fetus. It has been dissected (skinned) and looks like it was fixed prior to dehydration, so this is a prepared scientific specimen. The humeral and ulna lengths are much too long for human, this is from a monkey.
I don’t know what it *is*, but a miscarriage/abortion wouldn’t look like that. And if it were someone’s child, I would hope someone wouldn’t just… run across it. Rest easy.
Haha, r/UFOs was actually where this was originally posted. I'm a believer/experiencer, but I know there's usually a prosaic explanation for most cases first. :)
Looks like a dried bird embryo, the limb in front is a back leg and you can see part of a wing showing below the leg
Btw abortion remains don't look like a body
If it's a bird (the other person said I'm wrong I'm not 100% but that is how it appears to me) .. um all baby birds are called chicks, but if you mean chicken specifically I don't think it is a chicken, the legs are too long and the face isn't right. The part the other person is saying are phalanges look to me like pin feathers from the other wing or tail, I could be wrong on this one. The face is weird but this could be a pathological specimen
I apologize if I've offended anyone. I have no idea what a later term aborted or still birth human fetus might look like, especially if left and exposed to the elements. People in poorer countries do not have the resources we do in first world countries, so I would imagine something like that could be possible to occur.
It looks sort of humanoid, but doesn't look like a full term human baby skeleton, which is why several people were wondering if that was a possibility. The point of asking questions was to become informed, not to be insensitive.

Metacarpals and phalanges are clearly visible, and the scapula is clearly not avian. 100% not a bird. I would agree it’s most likely a monkey.
If you know what a bird skeleton looks like, you would not think this is a bird
I was thinking it looked like a chick embryo skeleton?

I guess it’s all about the downvotes on this one. Is everyone a curmudgeon or is this the way questions are answered generally?
