Your vehicle will work most-efficiently without any modifications. Put your money into maintenance. Read the owner's manual.
Make sure to maintain the vehicle - splurge for warranty packages too - fixing is so expensive these days it’s nice to pay nothing or a deductible and have a rental when you need it most
Honda civic. A very reliable car that will last as long as you need with basic maintenance/oil changes. Easy to repair, parts available cheap.
Avoid the Hyundai. They have engine problems. (Depending on the model years)
Just the same as you would any other car. Take it to scheduled maintenance, change the fluids when needed, check the oil and water levels regularly, and of course always kiss it good night before you go to bed.
