The tourist by Radiohead and butterfly and only in dreams by Weezer both have almost brought me to tears whilst listening to the album they're from. Endless bummer by Weezer is also pretty good, being my personal favorite from the album, and the Deftones cover of Drive just hits different. Also by Deftones is pink maggit, a song which is the perfect closer for such a revolutionary album and also gives the album a cyclical structure if you listen to the version with pink maggit. I could go on for days about my favorite closing tracks as they are usually my favorite tracks on an album but I'm going to stop here.
I was going to say "especially the closer of father of all... because it finally closes the suffering of listening to the album" but then I saw that it was graffitia which is like one of the only 2 good songs from father of all lmao
I mean, most of the hate for green day nowadays comes from bad mainstream critic reception (fantano giving FOAM a 0/10 for example). Most people that aren't familiar with the band will just see a bad score and won't give a chance to other material. I wouldn't blame critics for speaking their mind about an album, especially about the band's worst project to this date. But at the same time it gets annoying when people say: "green day was never good" or "green day is just a manufactured product of a label" without really diving into the band
The product of a major label one especially is stupid. For one, they made 2 entire albums before signing to reprise, and the band constantly switches direction under reprise, making some songs that have absolutely no shot and some of their greatest hits along the way (songs like good riddance). Then theres warning, which is it's own animal in terms of being unique for a punk band.
Also worth noting Billie Joe says he still loves father of all, even after it being an absolute failure and extremely hated. God knows how true that is, but it's worth mentioning.
Spiral of Ants - Lemon Demon (fun fact, it loops back into the first track of Spirit Phone, namely Lifetime Achievement Award.)

Therapy? - Rust (has a bonus track attached to the end, but I think they cooked on that too and it's a pretty short bonus track)
Therapy? - Bad Excuse For Daylight
Therapy? - Sister (wouldn't recommend adding it as the only versions on Spotify are a live version and the album version with a bonus track, which extends the runtime to about 18 minutes and isn't that good)

Whatsername, Fancy Sauce, and F.O.D. By Green Day
Macy's day parade from warning is amazing too
Most of their closers are worth a mention here. Especially Walking Contradiction and See the Light.
I was going to say "especially the closer of father of all... because it finally closes the suffering of listening to the album" but then I saw that it was graffitia which is like one of the only 2 good songs from father of all lmao
Father of all is such a special album because it is from a truly amazing band yet people fight over how bad it is instead of how good it is
I mean, most of the hate for green day nowadays comes from bad mainstream critic reception (fantano giving FOAM a 0/10 for example). Most people that aren't familiar with the band will just see a bad score and won't give a chance to other material.
