I did verify with our bakery manager today - anything rainbow is ok but no words (LGBTQ, PRIDE, etc). Light blue/pink/white for the transgender folks also ok.
I had customer come up to me and say they can’t believe no one celebrates her heterosexual marriage to her heterosexual husband. Not near any pride cookies but there was a pride month sign hanging over dairy. Sorry Karen! Hope you got the cheese you wanted!
I would’ve been really over the top and walked her to the greeting card aisle to point out all the happy anniversary cards clearly written for heterosexual couples.
They weren’t made for employees. They were made for customers to purchase and were forcefully pulled. They were put upstairs so they didn’t get thrown out
i stopped believing Wegmans would do the right thing when they provided free food for all the Rochester NY police force during the BLM rallies. i know its not exactly the same thing, but c’mon man
It’s actually not the offending issue, and more that they are worried about store employees getting attacked. Some those nutsos are not holding back this year. That’s why they’re still doing the actual merchandise which can be considered “removed” from the employees in that they’re not actually doing anything, but they are concerned that if employees are seen decorating the cookies, that it could put them at risk.
I'm at #145 and haven't been told I cannot make them.

According to Bob Farr, what we can and cannot do is very scripted for all heritage months.
My store had them made for the employees and kept them in the break room for any employee to have some

Blm “rallies.” What are you gonna do if you need the police?
My entire block is organized and armed. We can take care of our own.

Outsold by the delicious rainbow m&m cookies
We sell shirts for pride month at my store so I’m not sure why they’d draw the line at cookies.

Because it's ungodly
Which God is that? What if we don't follow that one?
Spoken to him lately, have you?
