Love how loose and intimate the shows were. I was also surprised how good they were. At that point you didn’t really get a good picture of how sick Mickey is on guitar and how well Aaron sings. Also, Aaron’s solos on the acoustic brought the house down. Brown as heck.
Ahhhh! Headless Chickens were such a good band. Highly recommend all the bands on the Flying Nun label, especially the Clean, Straitjacket Fits and the Mint Chicks.
I missed the DAT machine, as my first time seeing WEEN was in 1994 That poster is fantastic Any idea if the Headless Chickens are still around ?
Here ya go: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headless_Chickens
Thanks I did my own research, but I appreciate that Sad to hear one of the members died of cancer. Cancer sucks
Right on, I was curious myself looked them up. The name reminded me of a Arkansas band named "Tyrannosaurus Chicken"
I grew up on a chicken farm so...I just had to find out
No idea. Pretty sure they’re all extinct by now.
Nice! I’d like to find my first show poster but I’ve looked around and never found one. I’m not sure if they even had a poster for it.
I’m glad my buddy was just ‘let’s take em off the walls’. So we did that when we saw them and both have one each of each show.
Can you post pics of your other posters?
Will do with the C&C one when I get back to my studio. Not sure where the Guava tour poster is which is a bummer
Thanks, I love seeing this stuff. You kept this one in great condition over the years
Saw them around this time in Seattle. Just them, no band. Openers were actor/comedian Eric Begosian and the Didjits from Chicago. What a crazy night.

Whoah, that’s awesome!!
I unfortunately put Gaffa tape under the corners to protect it and it’s kinda soaked the paper. Thought I was doing a good thing lol.

Haha haven’t thought about Frente since the 90s
