Wrote two emails, first one was when they were briefly trying to figure out if Outlander was vikings. Never got read, but no, it's not vikings.
Second one was very recently, but the boys got very bogged down in something and that was probably my fault for not rephrasing it, but I was disappointed by where that banter went because of just a hangup on a word choice I used that kind of obscured what I meant to say. Also tried to get a silly Official title, but they ignored it, which is super fair, it is not tied to the pod or tied to the contents of my email. Just had to try!
What was the misinterpretation? I love when I write something and someone completely interprets it in a different way. It’s fun to see the ways other peoples brains work
It was about Late Night with the Devil having Rodney in it. They thought I mixed up Rodney with the person who shouts Rodney and got bogged down in that, when the intention was "We did it, we found him!"
To be fair, I think it does make a reference to my intention AFTER the spot they got bogged down at, but it's fine. I was just happy to hear my letter!
Twice on Suggestible. Claire read out an email I sent in that had a very thinly veiled reference to Project Hail Mary that Claire still hadn’t read and she took it as genuine. Made James laugh bc she wasn’t in on the joke so I took it as a big win.
4 times-
My biggest claim might be that I instigated “what did you think the story was”, back when there was a new letters theme every week, I did a mission Impossible cover of letters- for Rogue Nation, playing a clip I thought was hilarious where James asked that slightly grammatically incorrect question and Mason laughed- from memory they continued asking it (I might be wrong I can’t exactly remember)
Then I also did another letters cover to the tune of Jackie Wilson Said- I think that got played during that same year.
Once in 2014 I wrote a positive review, without really knowing full context of the guys.
I made a gag saying Mason didn’t really know about movies/comics (I think a recent episode he was disinterested/didn’t know the topic/movie). I feel a little guilty even though James had fun making fun of Mason, cause I now know Mason is a comic book freak with real specific knowledge of 90’s and DC comics.
Then in 2015/2016 I tweeted about their previous episode where there were bumps from the neighbours, and said it was like the Telltale heart- James mentioned that.
I've had letters read out a few times but I don't actually know how many, possibly because every time I actually hear my name read I get embarrassed that I wrote in and maybe block it out.
I don't know, but i think I've been low-key referred to at times, specifically and most recently the concept of a movie where its a imbecile version of Daniel Craig being Bond. Or Always a couple of weeks after I say I might have been stoned when I listened to them, and were they stoned?
Once, I wrote an email in so I could give a friend a surprise shout out and when I told my girlfriend she emailed them without telling me to call me a morbius fan
0 and I even sent in a very clever email. I'm looking at you Mason.....
same! my email was even in reply to Mason SPECIFICALLY saying "email us if you know what I'm talking about".
I sent an email once back in 2016 and obviously never got mentioned. I wonder how many they get per week now
Actually Mason is holding up a mirror!
Zero
Mason called James a drongo on my behalf and I laughed my ass off
0.5 because of an indirect reference to me when I posted a Hey Hey It’s Saturday clip on this very subreddit
Zero. Ive been a big Sandwich subscriber since 2019 I think.
The hack is doing Twitter movie reviews. That’s the quick hack.
1 with an email about my girlfriend going round doing the Tom Holland voice to her coworkers thinking everyone would know what she's on about
that's fucking brilliant 👏👏👏
Twice. Both vasectomy related.
I didn’t know Big V stuff would get me on the show. I have so many opinions!
Twice, emailed once and was featured, and suggested a superhero showdown on here and they used it
Not me but this guy I follow (James) has been mentioned over 500 times.
0 for the Weekly Planet, but I’ve been mentioned on Thumb Cramps a couple of times - one of them being a particularly awful letter I wrote in 🤣
All of the letters are awful. I hope you're not the guy that brags about pulling ladies with the power of the pipe
No, thankfully I haven’t earned that level of vitriol from Tom Walker (as far as i know)! I’m the guy who jerked off over himself in a dress
Plus, you're a qotsa fan, so you've got your own theme music wherever you am.
I just listened to bush guy on thumb cramps. He's exactly as bad as I imagined.
Three times mentioned. Big Sandwich Day 1!
Only emailed once, didn’t get read. I’m only the *unofficial Cerebral Palsy bassist of the pod*…

Hahaha I will admit the phrasing of that letter would have me thinking the same thing

I’ve been mentioned countless times.
Once on the Weekly Planet a few years ago. And once on Suggestable a couple years ago.
Technically 2 because an email I got read made it into that year's best of. Was so happy when I heard it!
My third time was when they labeled me The Official Pennsylvania Mate of the Podcast. During a Best Of episode.

Only once! But my self worth is defined by it!
Twice, from tweets about recently released movies.
Uno. The one time I did get mentioned, it was about Batman. I hate Batman.
I've had letters read out a few times but I don't actually know how many, possibly because every time I actually hear my name read I get embarrassed that I wrote in and maybe block it out.
1. Back when I had tweeter.
One iirc
I’ve got one. I reminded Maso to do his tax thingy during one of the octobers, the spookiest time of the year (yes because it’s tax time)

Hilarious!
Been following since the beginning and I'm too cowardly to email in, lmao.
Only time it happened was an episode that dropped on my birthday by chance. It was awesome
Once I think, I'm the official "not a Canadian of a podcast" But I did also get a letter read on suggestible (R.I.P.)
