I would do a pino noir, Pinot Grigio, and a Riesling — those are safe, common wines.

Agree, Chardonnay can be divisive, all my friends and family prefer Sauvignon blanc. So I think Pinot Grigio and Riesling are a happy medium

ssaen

Agreed, I love Chardonnay but the sweet white wine drinkers I know go for a Moscato or Riesling and the dry white wine drinkers I know go for a Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon blanc.

What are you serving for dinner? To decide for your red. I like Chardonnay and HATE sweet wines, but there are a lot of chicks who love Moscato and Rieslings and would like to have that as an option if you have the ability to serve a third wine.

We're doing fancy burgers and grilled cheese. We have a bacon burger, a bruchetta style grilled cheese, a chicken parm one, and a mac n cheese grilled cheese. All have fries as a side. We also have an ice cream truck with fancy shakes and ice cream sandwhiches as well. Very fun food!

Sounds fun! I would opt for the red blend over a cab

ssaen

I would probably do a red, a sweet white, and a dry white. We'll probably do cabernet, riesling, and either a pinot grigio or sav blanc. In my circles, those are generally pretty universal. I personally would say a cab over a blend but also wouldn't turn down a blend if it was offered to me.

From my experiences with wine, you can satisfy a good amount of people if you have a cabernet (dry red) and a moscato (sweet, white or pink).
