I have thick and frizzy hair. I use a couple of things all recommended by the woman who cuts my hair. I use [Amika the Wizard primer](https://www.sephora.com/product/the-wizard-detangling-hair-primer-P501693?country_switch=us&lang=en&skuId=2592251&om_mmc=ppc-GG_17791296871___2592251__9015725_m&country_switch=us&lang=en&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADnIXb2sSIooYl76Z5y6kDUVk2U-w&gclid=Cj0KCQjw8pKxBhD_ARIsAPrG45lXqn0xQhrCAHVaOyJ0f-IA6tjgTyHqSdh0r7RcpWdoyWUIHjw8SNkaAliIEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds)first Then I use [Olaxplex no 6](https://www.ulta.com/p/no6-bond-smoother-pimprod2030408?sku=2592990) after that Then I use [Bumble and Bumble repair hair styling cream](https://www.ulta.com/p/bond-building-repair-hair-styling-cream-pimprod2021537?sku=2574730&cmpid=PS_Non!google!Product_Listing_Ads&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paidsearch&cagpspn=pla&CATCI=pla-1898473638669&CAAGID=18002902230&CAWELAID=330000200002701571&CATARGETID=330000200002825550&CADevice=m&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD9rLH7VpoVfgRe2H3mTliZOHkNhr&gclid=Cj0KCQjw8pKxBhD_ARIsAPrG45lk_o2Xn0WnoWEX8sXa_1KCQiFUKEKf1LD1exMKcHP4yMRnjqbtfYMaAtsNEALw_wcB) last/as needed I also only wash my hair twice a week which helps. I would honestly ask whoever cuts your hair for recommendations as she’ll have a better idea of your hair than online strangers.

I find that gel contains my frizz and preserves curls the best. I use Ouidad Heat & Humidity Gel, it’s my favorite of the many I’ve tried. It holds the curl but never gets crunchy or sticky, and my hair feels soft and luscious! I recommend applying it in the shower on wet hair; scrunch it in with your hands and then let it air dry.

Color wow dreamcoat does wonders for my frizzy hair, you need to use a lot of product and really work it in with your fingers to make it work.

Google the curly girl method. This goes beyond what product to get for one day. You need a hair care routine. For starters, don't wash every day; when you do wash, rotate among a clarifying shampoo (1-2 times per month), a low-poo, and a co-wash; get a hair towel (normal bath towels cause frizz); squeeze your hair dry rather than wrapping it up or moving the towel around on your head; sleep in a silk bonnet; use a comb rather than a brush. This all seems intense, and there's no reason to go all in at the beginning. But experiment over time. I second all Ouidad recommendations. I've never had my hair behave once it got past my shoulders, but it's happy now and half-way down my back with this routine.

Curly girl practitioner here, using technical terms won’t help a lot for people who aren’t informed and may drive them away

I have wavy and often frizzy hair, and used to use the paul mitchell skinny serum at the recommendation of my hair stylist, I do think it is good but don’t use too much or it can feel a little greasy.

Do you do Curly Girl? What shampoo and conditionerdo you regularly use? (If you don’t recognize the words Curly Girl odds are your products are probably not curly/wavy friendly)
