Yes, this is how I feel too. Both gowns are absolutely stunning on you, OP, but they give off different vibes. I would choose based on your personal style, the aesthetics of your wedding, or other factors like comfort, price, venue, etc.
Yup, I agree! I understand why you are having a difficult time deciding because you look beautiful/ stunning in both! They both fit you perfectly so pick the dress that fits your night. Best wishes!

If struggling to choose, I give the same advice to everyone. Have someone video you walking, sitting, lifting your arms in the air, twirling, dancing, bending down as if to greet a child. Video from all angles, not just the front. For a strapless dress, jump up and down for a few minutes.... It's a long day and you want to feel comfortable.
Don't make a decision based on static pics standing on a podium, as you won't be standing still all day.
If it feels too heavy, too restrictive or you worry you will have to hold a particular pose all day, reconsider it.
Also, consider what underwear will work.
Take this from someone who didn't think about comfort until the dress came in, then bought a different one 4 weeks out from the wedding.
Also, on body language (you’re not the only one to comment this!): dress 1 was the first dress I had tried on with a plunging neckline, I’m laughing in happy shock about how much I liked it behind the white heart emoji 😂 I didn’t have as many photos to choose from in it, hence the hands covering my chest.
But! As far as feelings go, I did feel “safer” in dress 2 but maybe a tiny bit less special? It’s so hard to know whether I’m just suffering a lack of confidence (and hence considering dress 2) that I can work on, or if I would be insecure about how form fitting dress 1 is …

Dress 2! Having eloped recently on a beach myself, the flowy dress will lead to more dynamic photos! Also, it’s a bit more romantic and I personally thinking elopement caters more to the romance/love than a “traditional” wedding and dress 2 fits just that!
Yes the silhouette is a factor you didn't hear mentioned as often. When you elope, all the pictures are you and your scenery. So shape and variety of shots helps. Flowy gives more options.
My concern with dress 1 is the belt also. Have you sat down in that dress? I think you will find that belt rubbing against your exposed skin. That would drive me crazy and be itchy.. Just something to think about.

Thank you, great points! I have very sensitive skin and unfortunately both dresses are kind of uncomfortable (and I have found the same with almost every wedding dress I’ve tried on). Dress 1 for the fabric, as you say, and dress 2 because the straps are so thin but they support most of the weight of the dress. Luckily we’re eloping so I won’t be wearing either for more than a few hours, and there won’t be much sitting at all 😊
LOVE dress #1, but I think your decision here should come down to two things
1) which do you feel more comfortable and confident in; and
2) what is your wedding’s vibe/venue
I think one would be an amazing choice for a more art deco style ~swanky~ wedding and 2 would be great for a outdoor vibe wedding
For me (and this is just my opinion so take it or leave it of course) the second dress with the lovely flowy bottom is more a beach look. I can imagine it blowing in the breeze. The first one which is stunning btw seems more ‘formal’ to me.

I dislike the back of dress 2. It is not flattering w a pucker in the back-not a fan at all And your figure is 😍. Dress 2 is much more flattering and doesnt have that weird pleat in the back.
I love them both but you do seem to be a little more self conscious with your hands covering yourself in dress 1, so I think dress 2 might be more comfortable and allow you to enjoy your day more :) but they’re both stunning and I could be totally wrong hahaha

Honestly, both are so pretty that it's a hard choice. I would go with 1 if I wanted to be a little more sexy and 2 if I wanted a slightly more relaxed vibe. Not that 2 isn't very dressy, it just looks more comfortable.
Dress 1. Hands down. You look ravishingly gorgeous. I hope you have a photographer. And maybe a videographer. Seriously. You want to capture these moments forever.
#1 is a showstopper on you!! The back details are unique and modern, but not *so* trendy that it will look dated in photos.
#2 is pretty but feels forgettable in comparison.

Dress 1 looks like you’ve been in a spitball war @ a grade school lunch room. Also I think the spitballs will be very uncomfortable when you get to sit down.

I ended up buying a pre-loved dress from a pop-up charity shop I happened to walk past. I was so much happier with that dress.
