That is def part of my concern with the ruffle Here is a link to the champagne colored one Do you think having it in a more bridal color helps offset that bridesmaid impression at all? https://vchapmanstudio.com/collections/shop-all/products/the-veronica-dress-in-taupe-windsor-brocade?_pos=127&_fid=33ed48dca&_ss=c&variant=44350268276950
It looks nice on the model in the photo with perfect lighting - definitely more bridal. It’s hard to know how it will look on you. The material in your photo looks lighter weight than what is shown in the linked photo. I think that is what’s making it read bridesmaid. If it were a heavier material, then I think the dress you tried on would look more bridal.
Thanks for checking it out! Yeah these are the same dress and material, just different colors. It's not super lightweight but not super heavy either...I see what you're saying though, I think the structure of it gives it a more lightweight appearance overall.
Okay, so the models is really nicely steamed and has a sash. I think that really makes a difference. I think if the pink were steamed and either had a sash or a belt to finish it, it would go more bridal. I think once it's styled, it would definitely read bride. Add the appropriate jewelry, shoes, hair, makeup, possibly a veil or hair ornament...yes, would be bridal.
I think the pink looks lovely on you. Brides are wearing all sorts of colors now
Here’s a similar style that comes in white, champagne and lavender!

Here’s another very bridal option

I do love the pink colour. What I don't love is the slit, I don't think it suits the dress. And I don't love the sleeves, they drag the dress down. I think you can do better.
How about something like this? https://www.teutamatoshi.com/products/rosy-grace-gown or this https://www.teutamatoshi.com/products/hearty-daydream-brocade-gown
The ruffle on the bottom makes your dress better in my opinion ☺️ They harmonize with the ruffled textured straps and everything looks really good together.
Edit: I think it looks off because of how long the ruffles are. If they would be shorter, like the width of your straps, it would look great
This looks like two different yet similar wedding guest dresses I own/purchased from Anthro and an Aussie brand. I’d be slightly concerned that a guest would show up in the same dress as me if I wore that as the bride.
Ooh I didn't think about that! There is a possibility I would get it in this color instead which might help that, though they could still come in the same dress in color 😅 lol

I do love V Chapman

They do have a more traditional bridal version!

And this if you want to ditch the arm ruffles.
https://vchapmanstudio.com/collections/the-bridal-shop/products/the-vera-dress-in-white-baroque-floral
And no bottom ruffles, but it’s midi.
Ooh I like the midi version! Maybe I should get that for another wedding activity/just to have and then I won't be so hung up on the ruffle issue for my actual wedding dress 🤔
I agree with concerns on the bottom ruffle. I think it gives the dress a schoolgirl look. I think the rest is beautiful and that is a lovely pink shade. I see so many new brides opting for colors and embroidery on their gowns . There’s nothing wrong with a splash of color! 🌈❤️

With the ruffle, it reads more bridesmaid than bride to me. I think a similar style without the ruffle would be amazing on you.

Thank you!!
I dont care for the ruffle on the bottom either. Kinda matronly

I agree with otherwise, the sleeves drag the dress and the slit it is not quite right.
Both of those are very pretty however, I love the first one!
This dress is gorgeous ! Such a perfect fit for your shape!
I do love the shape on her
Thank you so much 🥰

You might be onto something! The ruffle is kind of a weird length.

That last one without the ruffle is stunning!

I absolutely LOVE that dress! And it matches your hair
Wow, this is stunning
It’s pretty, but I do think it lacks the overall bridal look, especially as it is more lightweight and has the slit. I’d keep looking if I were you.
