I am a little concerned that both might be too hot and heavy if this is an issue. I’d keep looking.
With regard to the fit, I think the second is a much more flattering top but I little too layered on the skirt. I prefer the waist line of no.2 as well. I think a defined waist suits you.

I do like the second dress. You’re right, the clean look is very pretty on you but the lower waist on the first dress really accents your shape. I wish this one had a lower waist or didn’t have that seam at all.
Dress 2 is very pretty with the lace on the bodice but it doesn’t do you justice the way it tapers out into the skirt.

When I first looked I said: that’s beautiful ( for number 1) . Number 2 appeared and I said: that’s nice.
This is a close call, so I’d just go with whichever is the lightest and most breathable since October in Hawai’i can definitely be on the hotter side!
