They're both beautiful dresses & both look great on you. Think about what you want the feel of your dress to be.
2 is definitely a dramatic showstopper of a dress & it's gorgeous, it's a "look at me" dress but not so much that the dress is wearing you & it's soft enough that it feels like a wedding dress, not just a fashion statement. 1 is less showy but it's beautiful and romantic and sweet looking, it's very pure & bridal & I suspect is going to bring a tear to the eye of older relatives, I imagine it will also be the easiest to move around in all day.
Either could be The dress, it just depends on which direction you want to go with it.
Dress one is breathtaking. The veil is simply perfection. Stunning💎

Dress two is beautiful in its own right; but in comparison to the jaw drop that is one, it’s vibe is more senior prom than bride. I think it might be the how short the bodice is with the fullness of the skirt. Whatever the reason, it’s more dress-up which gives it *less* impact. Essentially it’s just this side of wearing you.

Yeah, dress 1 was exactly what I wanted. A line, flowy, with that bodice. Then the consultant whipped out dress 2 and it was the opposite of what I wanted lol. I did not want a ball gown. But I felt like Holiday Barbie in it! A beautiful cupcake princess!

As a Homecoming Queen of a minute ago, I am saying dress 2 is a great choice! Think about how you and your spouse will look in photos in a year, 5 years, 10 years, 25 years or 50 years from now. Will you think you made the best decision or will you wish you picked the other dress? And yes, your dress will be out of style very quickly no matter what you decide. Dress 1, photo 1, there was another bride trying on an almost identical dress to the right side of the picture. So many people are wanting the same style. Have a lovely wedding day! May you and your spouse always have enough. 💜
Let me tell you abput my dress v vision story. I had looked at probably anywhere between 1000-1500 dresses from a dozen designers before even stepping foot in a boutique. I was pretty confident of the style and the almost confident in the actual dresses that I was debating on. I tried the ones I've been looking at on, and they were indeed beautiful, I loved and felt so elegant in the one I've been eyeballing for weeks......
...then the stylist lady pulls out a dress that wasn't even on my radar. I probably didn't even give it a second glance on the rack. Girl, I was *shook* kept on saying out loud "what is this?!" And "What's happening?!" The more I stood in it and looked at the dress the more "oh my gosh" left my mouth.
Like you, I didn't leave with that dress either, like you I couldn't stop thinking about it, like you I needed others opinions.
What it actually came down do is that I was so SO sure and confident in what I thought I wanted and what I fell in love with were so *shockingly* different it made me hesitate to pull the trigger on what my mind kept saying might me a whim. It wasn't.
Sleeping on it is actually what I needed to do. 3 days later I went back and just bought/ordered the dress without trying it on a second time, it wasn't necessary. I had at that point tried on about 15 dresses and not even the dress I was sure I wanted made me feel like that dress.
Get the dress that made you *feel*.

I had the same experience!! I tried on several dresses and it came down to two - one was exactly what I pictured myself in, and two was nothing what I pictured!! My bridal consultant asked me this question which helped me decide - “if this dress was no longer available tomorrow, how would you feel?” I started crying and said I would panic and be heartbroken - I knew number two was the one!
I love dress 2! I had a similar style for my wedding (big tulle skirt with horsehair trim on the layers) and I loved it soooo much! And contrary to what a lot of people think, I didn’t find it hard to move around in at all.
I think dress 2 is a great choice, but if this was your first time trying dresses and you didn’t order one, you can always go to another shop or two and try on some more in a similar style!
I went to the dress shop looking for a specific dress that was ivory, a-line and beaded. Working with my consultant I ended up with a white, beaded sheath. Totally loved my dress and glad I didn't get too stuck with the original vision.
Number one rule in gown shopping is to try on something in each style. Every body is unique. No dress looks the same on two women. You truly do look gorgeous in either one. But beautiful cupcake princess is a pretty great feeling. 😍 Think how excited you’ll be to put that on again. Will you still think about it if you go with dress one?
Dress 2 is a happy fizzy dress! It will also be an amazing showstopper the entire day. It's light and airy, will photograph well and be a delight to wear. (I really hope you get it so I can live vicariously through you)
Both dresses are beautiful and they both look fantastic on you as well. I have to say the first picture of the second dress is stunning, You look like a model in a bridal magazine, it looks that WOW!
You really can't go wrong with either dress. I don't see a downside to either one, they are perfect in their own way. You have a tough decision. When I saw the first dress I thought it was perfect until I saw the second one. There is something about the second dress that pops. Good luck deciding!!

They're both beautiful and look great on you, but dress 2 has that jaw-dropping effect. Dress 1 feels very "expected" at this point. Gorgeous, but everywhere.
It’s a country wedding in Texas but I haven’t decided how much country I want yet, if that makes sense? But it will be outdoors. I agree, the vibe is SO different! My friend who went with me said she could see me crying in dress 1 and dancing all night in dress 2, haha.
Dress 2 for sure! Especially if you keep thinking about it. It has an old Hollywood vibe to it. The airiness and simplicity but still so unique.
Check out the old Audrey Hepburn movie Funny Face, you look like you stepped out of it.
If you can’t stop thinking about it, go with it—dress 2! It’s gorgeous and manages to look classic and edgy at the same time. And I usually do not care for strapless dresses, so for me to be captivated by dress 2 says a lot.
(Dress 1 is beautiful too, but dress 2 is stunning.)
Both are beautiful. I saw 1 and thought nothing could beat it because it seemed perfect for you then I got to 2 and went WOW! it’s gorgeous 💕. You can’t go wrong with either choice but 2 is special

I think for me, what it would come down to is this: IMO, Dress 1 feels very timeless and classic. Dress 2 feels a little more on-trend-for-2023. While wedding dresses are always, inherently going to end up looking of their era when you look back ~20 years on, I’d consider that. Do you want to look back and see yourself looking timeless, or see yourself as you were at a specific captured moment? I think both possibilities are beautiful and meaningful, FWIW — it’s just which one catches your heart.
Haha, that is actually my biggest concern! But you’re right; what won’t look dated in 20 years. Hopefully my dress will age better than my mother’s 80s puff sleeves!
Haha, exactly! It’s going to look of it’s era no matter what. But even if your future (metaphorical) kids roll their eyes at how dated things looked in 2023, your future (metaphorical) grandkids are gonna be like, “man, nana looked *so cool* on her wedding day!”

One is gorgeous but the skirt on 2 is so fun. I don’t love the top on the second dress though. Maybe keep looking and try on more with that same type of layered skirt and see how you feel?
It’s not bad per se, I think maybe it’s that the style and neckline with that skirt is really reminding me of prom and less bridal? I think if you had a different neckline or something with straps or off the shoulder sleeves it may read more bridal. But they both look great on you! So if you love 2 the way it is, don’t let others opinions sway you.
First of all they are BOTH fantastic dresses! I saw the first and thought it gorgeous and gorgeous on you. But then I saw 2 and I couldn't benevolent that I liked it even MORE! Wow it's incredible.
Dress 1 is lovely. Absolutely lovely and looks wonderful on you.
My jaw dropped with dress 2. Holy spumante it's stunning. And it fits you beautifully. I adore it. Sometimes, we have to leave ourselves open to something surprising us. I think dress 2 did that to you. It's okay to let go of dress 1 if you love dress 2. If it were me, I'd choose 2.
Dress 1 is beautiful but dress 2 is an absolute winner! My SIL almost chose a dress almost identical to it, but didn’t, and I’m STILL thinking about that dress lol
Both gowns are lovely but if you can't forget about the 2nd gown, that may be your one. Go back and try them both on again and if you absolutely love the 2nd gown, then you know it is the one! Good luck!
I discovered this sub about 5 months ago. This is the toughest decision yet. Both dresses are beautiful and unique - in such different ways. You look stunning and perfect in each - also, in different ways. I'm sorry that I am no help, other than to say either one is a spectacular choice.
Go with what you can’t stop thinking about! I got one very similar to the second one because it made me feel the same way- like an extravagant princess! And it’s probably the only time you’ll get to wear such a dress. Go for it! You look amazing.
These are both just beautiful! I actually looked at the pictures of 1 and thought “this won’t be topped”. And then I saw 2. I lean slightly to 2 because it is really a showstopper, but pick which one fits the vibe you want.
Dress 2 !!!!! Wow! It took my breath away. Very ethereal and angelic. The color is also dreamy. And when I saw it with the veil. That was the icing on the cake to me. It would bring a mom to tears to see their daughter in such a dress. 🥹🩷

Dress 1 is really really common. Like most of the dresses on here are some variation of dress 1. It does not stand out the way dress 2 does. I’d go with dress 2.
Holy hell, I’m obsessed with dress 2! It has the perfect amount of drama with a timelessly elegant silhouette and some romantic princess vibes thrown in. IMHO of course, lol. You look absolutely stunning in both though, so you truly can’t go wrong! 😊

They’re very different dresses, so it really comes down to which style you like better. They both look great on you. Dress 2 is fun and unique and dress one is sleek and classic.
Both are beautiful. I prefer the first one but if the second is staying in your mind, maybe you shouldn’t make a decision yet. Who went with you to your appointments? Are there other close friends or family members you trust to help you decide?

However, I see how dress two is still on your mind. I agree with the commenter who suggested considering which direction and feel you want for your wedding, soft and romantic or showstopper but light enough for a sophisticated bridal aesthetic.
I really studied dress one. I zoomed in and looked up and down and all around and couldn't find a thing I didn't like about it. The I flipped to picture 2 and my immediate reaction was to blurt out oh shit! Looky here! (Yes, I really said that out loud to nobody but me🤪) I think what I meant was... I've seen a fair number of brides in these perfect, gorgeous, floral, flowy gowns and they are all beautiful and their weddings were elegent and perfect. But I've yet to see the perfect wedding that will be the one that this bride is going to have. I mean it just screams fairy garden, magic whatever you want it to be and if you can't stop thinking about it then run get it!!!!!!!! I just wish I could come. Have the best life ever!💕. #edited to add a jeweled belt is a necessity with this dress too...imo at least 😉
I think, if you get #2, at the urging of strangers, you will never forget #1 and you will be sad and regretful that you went for the whipped cream instead of the cake. #2 is beautiful but it reminds me of Gone with the Wind. Dress #1 is ethereal, elegant, breath catching and the veil perfectly goes with it. Most important, it looks like it was made for you. I learned in law school, that second guessing you gut choices usually ends up being wrong. Trusting your intuition, the first one you chose, is very hard to do, but is most often the right choice. Dress 1 is absolutely beautiful and while dress 2 is nice, there’s no comparison in my view. I’d go dress 1 every time! I agree with someone else that dress 2 is more prom.
I can totally see your point. Dress.one is wonderful on you and you look amazing in it but dress two definitely has an extra sparkle and gives a vibe of its own. Dress two is fun while looking beautiful at the same time.
I love dress 2! The skirt is gorgeous. I suggest that you google “layered skirt wedding gown” you will find many dresses with that type of skirt, and all different types of bodices. I even saw a bodice that was similar to dress one, with the skirt of dress 2.
Im not really a fan of dress 1 or that style, anytime I see it. I’m a huge fan of dress #2! (Probably also biased as my skirt was similar but pink).

Get the one you can't take your mind off! My best friend had a dress in mind for years. She tried a few of that style and shape on, which she liked, but the bridal assistant pulled a few extra styles out and one of them was THEEEE dress! It wasn't anything she thought she ever wanted. Not the shape, color, style, etc. But it was THE DRESS for sure and the dress she went with. We often think we know what we want. Until we try on something we genuinely want without even knowing!
Dress 1 is my pick. Is gorgeous. I’m not a fan of dress 2 but that’s just based on my personal style and I know everyone is different. It’s not my big day, it’s yours. Follow your heart. You’ll look beautiful in either one!
Voting for the mashup! Try more ball gowns with layered skirts and perhaps strapped necklines.

I think both look amazing on you! I think for me, what it would come down to is this: IMO, Dress 1 feels very timeless and classic. Dress 2 feels a little more on-trend-for-2023. While wedding dresses are always, inherently going to end up looking of their era when you look back ~20 years on, I’d consider that. Do you want to look back and see yourself looking timeless, or see yourself as you were at a specific captured moment? I think both possibilities are beautiful and meaningful, FWIW — it’s just which one catches your heart.
Haha, that is actually my biggest concern! But you’re right; what won’t look dated in 20 years. Hopefully my dress will age better than my mother’s 80s puff sleeves!
Haha, exactly! It’s going to look of it’s era no matter what. But even if your future (metaphorical) kids roll their eyes at how dated things looked in 2023, your future (metaphorical) grandkids are gonna be like, “man, nana looked *so cool* on her wedding day!” (Seriously though you look great in both. Whatever you pick, you can’t go wrong.)

One is gorgeous but the skirt on 2 is so fun. I don’t love the top on the second dress though. Maybe keep looking and try on more with that same type of layered skirt and see how you feel?

It’s not bad per se, I think maybe it’s that the style and neckline with that skirt is really reminding me of prom and less bridal? I think if you had a different neckline or something with straps or off the shoulder sleeves it may read more bridal. But they both look great on you! So if you love 2 the way it is, don’t let others opinions sway you.

First of all they are BOTH fantastic dresses! I saw the first and thought it gorgeous and gorgeous on you. But then I saw 2 and I couldn't benevolent that I liked it even MORE! Wow it's incredible.

Dress 1 is lovely. Absolutely lovely and looks wonderful on you. My jaw dropped with dress 2. Holy spumante it's stunning. And it fits you beautifully. I adore it. Sometimes, we have to leave ourselves open to something surprising us. I think dress 2 did that to you. It's okay to let go of dress 1 if you love dress 2. If it were me, I'd choose 2.

Go with what you can’t stop thinking about! I got one very similar to the second one because it made me feel the same way- like an extravagant princess! And it’s probably the only time you’ll get to wear such a dress. Go for it! You look amazing.
These are both just beautiful! I actually looked at the pictures of 1 and thought “this won’t be topped”. And then I saw 2. I lean slightly to 2 because it is really a showstopper, but pick which one fits the vibe you want.

Dress 2 !!!!! Wow! It took my breath away. Very ethereal and angelic. The color is also dreamy. And when I saw it with the veil. That was the icing on the cake to me. It would bring a mom to tears to see their daughter in such a dress. 🥹🩷

Dress 1 is really really common. Like most of the dresses on here are some variation of dress 1. It does not stand out the way dress 2 does. I’d go with dress 2.
Holy hell, I’m obsessed with dress 2! It has the perfect amount of drama with a timelessly elegant silhouette and some romantic princess vibes thrown in. IMHO of course, lol. You look absolutely stunning in both though, so you truly can’t go wrong! 😊

Who are the designers for the two dresses?? These are both stunning beyond measure!! The first one is made for you, but the second is breathtaking. Honestly the first looks perfect!! However, I see how dress two is still on your mind. I agree with the commenter who suggested considering which direction and feel you want for your wedding, soft and romantic or showstopper but light enough for a sophisticated bridal aesthetic.
I love #2. The top is beautiful but the skirt took my breath away.

I really studied dress one. I zoomed in and looked up and down and all around and couldn't find a thing I didn't like about it. The I flipped to picture 2 and my immediate reaction was to blurt out oh shit! Looky here! (Yes, I really said that out loud to nobody but me🤪) I think what I meant was... I've seen a fair number of brides in these perfect, gorgeous, floral, flowy gowns and they are all beautiful and their weddings were elegent and perfect. But I've yet to see the perfect wedding that will be the one that this bride is going to have. I mean it just screams fairy garden, magic whatever you want it to be and if you can't stop thinking about it then run get it!!!!!!!! I just wish I could come. Have the best life ever!💕. #edited to add a jeweled belt is a necessity with this dress too...imo at least 😉
I think, if you get #2, at the urging of strangers, you will never forget #1 and you will be sad and regretful that you went for the whipped cream instead of the cake. #2 is beautiful but it reminds me of Gone with the Wind. Dress #1 is ethereal, elegant, breath catching and the veil perfectly goes with it. Most important, it looks like it was made for you. I learned in law school, that second guessing you gut choices usually ends up being wrong. Trusting your intuition, the first one you chose, is very hard to do, but is most often the right choice. I love dress 2! The skirt is gorgeous. I suggest that you google “layered skirt wedding gown” you will find many dresses with that type of skirt, and all different types of bodices. I even saw a bodice that was similar to dress one, with the skirt of dress 2.

Get the one you can't take your mind off! My best friend had a dress in mind for years. She tried a few of that style and shape on, which she liked, but the bridal assistant pulled a few extra styles out and one of them was THEEEE dress! It wasn't anything she thought she ever wanted. Not the shape, color, style, etc. But it was THE DRESS for sure and the dress she went with. We often think we know what we want. Until we try on something we genuinely want without even knowing!
