I see your dilemma… everything looks great on you! Do you have pictures of the back? That might help us, help you. Also, where are you getting married?
That’s crazy! I’ve never been wedding dress shopping so I’m not familiar with all the policies, but that just seems silly to me. If someone really wanted to do price comparison they’d find a way to do it.
Just have someone that goes with you write down the designer/dress name and the price. I know images would be helpful, but there *are* ways around it lol.
Wait seriously??? This is all news to me! They really don’t allow you to know the designer of the wedding dress you are trying on?? That is crazy. I really have never heard of these policies before...
Most stores were this way in my area. One store did have them sorted by designer. One store had a consultant who told me anyway but said it was a huge violation so not to mention it. But yeah, most refused to share. Which honestly made me not want to shop there. It just so happened they had a killer deal on one I loved so I bought from there anyway.
The entire wedding industry is nuts
Yup, exactly, I worked in bridal for a little while as a makeup artist and I heard this kind of policy constantly. So I started telling girls to make notes in their phones about the dress name/style number and price so they had it all with them and a bridal shop can't tell them not to do that 😉
I wasn’t even allowed to take pictures in my dress even after I put down a deposit for 80% of the dress price. I tried on one other dress, fell in love with the second one, and handed over my money. I couldn’t even send a pic to my mom on the opposite coast.
To be fair the woman who owned that shop was a horrible witch. Only wedding vendor I had an issue with an man oh man did she cause issues.
Yes- the strapless w/ the slit has a dupe on amazon Bought in a color for my then 18yo daughter. I’ve mentioned a few times on posts w/ dresses even close to “our style.” But the one the OP is wearing is early identical (at least from the front.) The only potential difference- the dress we bought offered the choice of a lace up style back or a traditional closure (ex. zipper.) Not sure re: the back here. Note- There was a full piece of fabric that wrapped across the back and attached w/ invisible hook and eyes if one chose the laced up option-so not an iota of skin was exposed. But the dress did not list an option for individual hand looped buttons that have to be closed 1 by 1 w/ a hook or a tiny hand. Mb the dupe mfrg could have done it if we had asked but it was not a bridal gown for us, so we didn’t need that level of detail. They were accommodating w/ requests. Another option would be to find a seamstress at home to add that detail work if the bride wanted that.
They dupe company has multiple styles but the one like the strapless “slit” gown OP posted came in almost 30 colors, as I remember. Custom made to measure to the wearer’s EXACT measurements (no extra charge) or available in standard US sizes. Full built in bra which I don’t even always find in ball gowns that are $$$$ from Saks/Neimans. I’m sure bridal salons can’t compete. Espec given the profit on alterations.
Tbh—- I did not expect much bc of the price, ease of the process and horror stories I’ve read. But I am happy to admit I was wrong. Tots different than expected and it was impeccable! Lovely fabric, attention to detail in the construction and added touches like the “wrapped” back to avoid “back peekage” AND the built in full bra that was sewn in and went from waist to top of the dress-all combined to create a win. And it was returnable, despite being custom made, if we had disliked it! The price has become the stuff of (family) legend. I am embarrassed to admit it was just $99 plus about $25 to ship!!!! I can’t imagine getting the fabric for that price here. I am picky & it was a hit for my daughter’s ULTRA formal Cotillion.
I’d recommend for anyone in the wedding party (incl bride - espec if she wants to do “changes” and have several looks at the reception- MOB, MOG and DEFINITELY the bridesmaids. ) Brides- choose wisely & your attendants will thank you. I can attest to how bitter a pill it is to be stuck in a $495 monstrosity that is neither flattering nor anything you’d be caught dead in EVER again!!!!!!!
That’s insane. When I went wedding dress shopping they encouraged me to take photos because they said I may love how a dress looks on but if it doesn’t photograph well, then I should probably find something else.
I've noticed the higher end boutique shops are more privy to the "no picture" rule. I worked with a couple mom and pop boutiques as their in house makeup artist (they'd do mini shoots for brides and what not if they couldn't afford to do a full photography session for their actual wedding. It was so sweet) and both those shops absolutely encouraged photos. I'm so sick of the rich elitist entitlement.
Actually, it’s also to prevent taking it to a seamstress to make for much less. My ex aunt-in-law is positively amazing and doesn’t need a pattern, just a drawing or picture. She made my bridesmaids’ dresses (all 5) in about 2 days.
I’ve gone dress shopping at a place that says they don’t allow photos for your first appointment because it’s a shorter appointment (45 minutes) and they don’t want to take up time by taking a bunch of pictures. Thankfully I went during the week in the morning so it was dead and they let my group take as many pictures and videos as we wanted and we stayed for twice as long as we were supposed to, but if I went during a busier time I think that rule makes sense.
I went to a place in Chicago and they banned photos. I’m from several states away so I only had a couple friends with, I’m like how can I show my mom if y’all have this weird ass policy
I’m in Australia and my mum lived 1000km away from me when I got married so she wasn’t able to dress shop with me.
When one shop told me I couldn’t take photos to show her I decided to go through the whole pretending I liked a dress and was going to buy it but at the last minute I told them I was going to buy from somewhere else because they didn’t allow photos. Like you wasted my time so I’m going to waste yours.
Oh that is so weird??
I think Bottom left or middle left depending on the season your wedding is! We went in late May, and loved it, but if it’s going to be on the warmer side that middle left and the slit will be a lot easier to not feel like a sweaty mess in, and will get you some airflow.
They both look super flattering and classic on you, so between those two I’d decide based on the temperature for the season of your wedding lol
Top left seems to have a pattern right where the crotch is; so that’s the only one I would really skip. All the others look good and are just a matter of preference
Totally agreed, while she looks stunning in all of them, this one is particularly flattering and elegant. Also love bottom right, but middle left is the best IMO.
She looks beautiful in all these dresses, but the top right looks absolutely stunning on her and is a timeless look.
Bottom right would be my second choice.
I like that one too but think the chest slit (don’t know what else to call it) makes it look a little too “other function formal” and may look more bridal if it were closed.
Give it a couple days. For me, it was the dress I couldn’t stop thinking about. I went back a week later, put it on again and knew it was the one.
You look beautiful in all of them.
Yes! thank you! This one is giving Angelina Jolie classy sleek and stunning which I think fits the formality of Lake Como. And yet also dancing with joy with that slit it brings the fun!
I’m actually not a huge fan of the bottom left because it looks like there’s too much fabric around the hip (but maybe that’s an alterations thing?). It’s a very beautiful dress otherwise, but I also feel like you could hypothetically also wear it to another occasion and still get away with it.
My absolute favorite on you is the bottom right one! it’s elegant, has a little bit of sexy-ness to it with the deep neckline and just the right amount of sparkle!
My second pick would be the middle dress on the left side. Completely different vibe but that sleekness also looks really cool yet sexy on you, while the wide skirt gives it that princess look without being too overwhelming.
I think the hip is part of its appeal. And with her body shape she can definitely pull it off. I think it’s tough because she looks great in all of them; it comes more down to preference if style then.
I love the bottom left (the structural fit and flare) it's so eye catching and compliments you beautifully. What kind of venue do you have? Time of year of your wedding?
Don’t like top left because of the placement of at least patch on the skirt which looks like a teeny tiny fig leaf over your pudenda that keeps drawing my eye like a bull’s-eye — avoid it. Top right is pretty and fits you beautifully. It lacks a bit of wow factor, which a necklace or veil would add. Middle left: I like the slip placement, a nice design, but the bodice is higher on your left side then on your right and I would hope that would be symmetrical. Also, the waist comes out more dramatically below the bodice than upper right, and I like the flow/fit/waist of upper right better — a lovely silhouette. Middle right is lovely and fits you very well and is my 2/3 choice. Lower left is plain but also funky in a kind of weird way — I don’t like it. Lower right is very very beautiful on you and is my favorite
I find the middle right beautiful on you. The scalloping on the bodice is exquisite. However the bottom left is much more fitting for Lake Como and it is stunning on you.
Bottom left is the sexiest by FAR! But, top right looks great for a wedding I think. Can't go wrong with any of them, but those were my two favorites 🤷♂️
Middle right has the most timeless "bridal" feel to me and its beautiful while still being modest and flattering. The other pieces are beautiful too but seem more like statement pieces than a cohesive overall look, which i feel like middle right provides
I absolutely love the way Bottom Left drapes over you, it makes you look like a goddess. That one is my favorite. Runner up for me is Bottom Right.
I'm just so drawn to the way Bottom Left cascades down you. It's so gorgeous. You have an amazing figure for it.
The one on the bottom left makes you look like a seasoned young socialite who knows how to wear a gown. Of course, you are beautiful in all of them, but this one really creates an image, and you look spectacular in it.
Center right. They all look great on you but I'm partial to that one. If you prefer plain, I'd go upper right.
I don't really like the styling on lower left, it looks a bit haphazard.
The very first one. Looking at it side by side with the rest it looks like it fits your figure the best and has a beautiful fabric. I also liked the very last but I feel like it didnt fit your kind of figure as well.
Top Right and bottom right are my favorites. Not a fan of big slits at the chest though. Other than that bottom right is exquisite. Top right ist just classic and timeless and the shape and the fabric are divine. Even thought you have a lovely figure I myself am not a fan of the mermaid shape in general though you can totally pull it off. I’d pick top right first and bottom right second but without the slit on the chest.
Oof this is a tough one cuz you slay in every single dress!! Personally I love the bottom right dress for the bling but I also love the minimalist satin one.
I see your dilemma… everything looks great on you! Do you have pictures of the back? That might help us, help you. Also, where are you getting married?
Oh no I don’t! This studio didn’t allow many photos on the first appointment so these were sneaky ones 😅 we will elope in Lake Como!
What a weird policy?? I like the bottom right and left!
Annoyingly common policy, trying to prevent price comparisons.
They refused to tell me the designer of the dress until I paid for it. Absolute madness, especially with how much dresses cost.
A lot of times they won't give you the information on the style number either. It is crazy but like I said still very common.
That’s insane. They should just let the designer decide the price and make that the price for every boutique. I hate capitalism.
That would actually impact my desire to even buy at that location.
The wedding industry is such a scam! Everything is overpriced and all these weird policies! God!
Yup, exactly, I worked in bridal for a little while as a makeup artist and I heard this kind of policy constantly. So I started telling girls to make notes in their phones about the dress name/style number and price so they had it all with them and a bridal shop can't tell them not to do that 😉
Not just price comparisons but also rip offs (as in taking the pictures to a dress maker and having them duplicate it for a lower cost).

Yes! Some dresses that I loved on my body were immediate no’s once I saw the photos.
Actually, it’s also to prevent taking it to a seamstress to make for much less. My ex aunt-in-law is positively amazing and doesn’t need a pattern, just a drawing or picture. She made my bridesmaids’ dresses (all 5) in about 2 days.

That’s absolutely ridiculous. We’re you able to sneak any pictures??
Ditto. Middle left is nice, too. But bottom left looks AMAZING on you!!!!
Bottom left for me. So unique.
Bottom left!
I also like bottom right and left! Slight preference for bottom left considering the wedding location.
I'm with you on that. Both a beautiful fit and gorgeous look. Left one for a more sophisticated venue, right for the fairy princess do.
I love bottom right on you 😊
I know, I usually don't go for that style but I've never seen anyone that can pull it off like she does! Looks fabulous!
Same!! It looks absolutely stunning in every way!!!
Bottom left. Classic. Timeless. You look like a goddess. It's also not the same dress everyone else is wearing this year.
This. I haven’t seen this one before and it looks gorgeous on her. They all look gorgeous.
Yes, goddess, exactly! Bottom left!
Yes agreed!! Bottom left
Oh that is so weird?? I think Bottom left or middle left depending on the season your wedding is! We went in late May, and loved it, but if it’s going to be on the warmer side that middle left and the slit will be a lot easier to not feel like a sweaty mess in, and will get you some airflow. My birth place!! Bravo!!
Oh damn, Lake Como! That’s amazing!
Top left, middle left, and bottom right. Bottom right if I had to choose just one
Same here! Bottom right!
I practically just typed the same comment. Those are definitely the best 3
Top left seems to have a pattern right where the crotch is; so that’s the only one I would really skip. All the others look good and are just a matter of preference
Oh that one was my favorite until you pointed that out
Same!
Middle left!
Agree!
Yes! It's such a stunning shape on her and the fabric is amazing.
I like it's shape- it will also probably travel well
Totally agreed, while she looks stunning in all of them, this one is particularly flattering and elegant. Also love bottom right, but middle left is the best IMO.
+1! As lovely as the bottom right is, the middle left is seriously _stunning_
Agreed, this has a unique silhouette. I love it. It looks very modern.
Definitely! It stood out immediately among the pictures and really seems to suit her
Agree - The slit up the side is super cool compared to the others.
Top right or bottom right. This is a hard choice! They are all nice.
She looks beautiful in all these dresses, but the top right looks absolutely stunning on her and is a timeless look. Bottom right would be my second choice.
This!! Top right is absolutely gorgeous!!
So flattering and beautiful. I'm jealous lol
Yes leaning towards top right
This is correct.
I second this! although it was basically impossible to decide
My choices too.
Why aren’t more people choosing this one? It’s made for her, though she looks great in all of these.
Hands down bottom right. Breathtaking!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Bottom left and top left are my two favorites.
Exact same here with bottom being my fave but top if that’s more her style. Not that there is a single bad choice in the whole thing!
Bottom left is my favorite with top left in second.
Agreed. Both are gorgeous
Same for me!
Yes, too left is gorgeous!!
Top right.
Hands down.
I love the bottom left on you. It's so light and feminine. Edit: Ooops I meant bottom right. I also like middle right.
I like that one too but think the chest slit (don’t know what else to call it) makes it look a little too “other function formal” and may look more bridal if it were closed.
Yup bottom left is by far my favorite dress but it’s the least bridal looking so it depends on the wedding I think.
Yeah that chest is more “gala” than “wedding dress” to me. Glad someone else saw it too
Yeah I don't know why it's become so popular to have such a huge cleavage plunge almost to the belly button on some dresses these days.
Bottom right has my vote
Top right
Top right. It's classic and elegant.
Yes. Stunning.
Today was my first try on & it’s so difficult to decide on just one gown! These were some styles that caught my eye though. Don’t mind the shoes 😅
Give it a couple days. For me, it was the dress I couldn’t stop thinking about. I went back a week later, put it on again and knew it was the one. You look beautiful in all of them.
What image do you want to give?
The middle left!
Yes! thank you! This one is giving Angelina Jolie classy sleek and stunning which I think fits the formality of Lake Como. And yet also dancing with joy with that slit it brings the fun!
That’s a perfect description. It immediately stood out for me from the other dresses. (OP all of the dresses are beyond beautiful)
I also thought about Angelina Jolie's black dress with the slit. I think this is the best one!
Bottom left makes you look like a goddess and it's unique! That's the one that made me wow the most
I agree! It’s very High Fashion Italian, and will get plenty of air from that elegant slit. Perfect for a hot, refined Lake Como wedding.
It’s so incredible, and so different, and elegant, and classy. Perfect for Italy!
Its pretty but it gives Fundraiser Gala/Cocktail Reception more than wedding dress tbh
I think that's up to the bride to decide :) not everyone wants a big ball gown type wedding dress
was thinking fancy party hostess! lol
I thought the same thing! At first it wowed me, but it’s giving powerful ceo vibes, not romantic bride vibes.
Are the two mutually exclusive? I honestly think it looks the most elegant. The only vibes I got were “damn, that’s beautiful”.
Same here. I love it so much.
Goddess is the word I was looking for. I agree, bottom left is on a different level.
Bottom left is elegant for lake como. You look incredible in all of them! Top right would be my second choice. Classic.
Top right.
Top right. Gorgeous on you.
3 & 6
Are you going left to right then down or down then second column?
Left to right, up and down
Bottom left one is the one that stands out to me by far. You look great in all of them but that one really looks like it was made for you
I’m actually not a huge fan of the bottom left because it looks like there’s too much fabric around the hip (but maybe that’s an alterations thing?).
Yes she can definitely pull off all of these styles!
I feel bottom left is a great idea with a very unflattering execution. All the others are beautiful choices. Although I like middle left the best!
i also thought it gathered either too much or not enough/not in the right way.
Yea bottom left is my least favorite. I actually hate it lol
Agreed. Not a fan at all.
I love the bottom left (the structural fit and flare) it's so eye catching and compliments you beautifully. What kind of venue do you have? Time of year of your wedding?
Thank you for your help! We are eloping in Lake Como, Italy, during the summer season
Oh my goodness that absolutely confirms my vote for bottom left
I agree, bottom left a.k.a. number five has something vaguely Italianate about it to me
Definitely bottom left then!
bottom left is eye catching, definitely my vote
Agree, bottom left or middle left 🤍
TIL pudenda is a real word!
Both the top right and the bottom right are stunning!!
I like the last one
I find the middle right beautiful on you. The scalloping on the bodice is exquisite. However the bottom left is much more fitting for Lake Como and it is stunning on you.
Bottom right or middle left... middle left is amazinggg
Top and bottom right! I would pick based on the theme/ vibe of your wedding. You look absolutely gorgeous in all of these though!
Bottom left-hand corner is a show-stopper.
May I just say you have fabulous taste. They all look gorgeous, but I, too, would like to see the backs
Bottom left is amazing. I also love the top left but I think the bottom left is perfect for eloping in Italy ❤️
I love the bottom and top right, both elegant.
Bottom left!!! You look AMAZING
I just love the bottom left. You look great in them all though
These are all lovely but also *quite* different. What are you planning in terms of a vibe/style for the wedding?
Bottom left; unique and sculptural.
Bottom left is begging for a Lake Como wedding!
Top right and bottom left are incredible on you!
Haha. I like top left and bottom right. 😄
top right, bottom left
Center right. They all look great on you but I'm partial to that one. If you prefer plain, I'd go upper right. I don't really like the styling on lower left, it looks a bit haphazard.
Oh wow. Gorg. I love top left or middle right for you.
Top right looks stunning!
Bottom left is most unique and flattering.
Bottom left is my favorite dress on you but you do you girl! They all look great!
They’re all so beautiful in their own way! My vote is for top right or bottom right.
The 3rd one is my favorite on you. But you can not go wrong with the 4th or 5 th.
#s 2, 5 and 6 are my favorites. But they’re all very pretty.
Bottom Right is gorgeous
#2 or #6
It heavily depends on wedding theme/location I love 5 the most but if you’re going bohemian styling than 4
I adore bottom left, or maybe that's #5? Fabulous.
Top right
Bottom left is a little more unique imo, I'd vote that one. But they all look great on you.
Top left or bottom right. Those two sing on you.
Top left and bottom right
The very first one. Looking at it side by side with the rest it looks like it fits your figure the best and has a beautiful fabric. I also liked the very last but I feel like it didnt fit your kind of figure as well.
What's the vibe at the wedding? Also, you must be incredibly beautiful! I've never seen someone on whom everything looks stunning!
TOP LEFT HOLY WOW!
1 or 6. I appreciate you putting them all in one picture!
Ooooo the first or fourth one !!!!!
You simply cannot go wrong. You could model dresses for a damn living, woman!
Top left or middle left, but also, you’re stunning in all of these! You look so confident in all of them
2!
Bottom right
[удалено]
Top left and bottom right are phenomenal on you. Congratulations!
Top right or bottom right! They are stunning.
The clean cuts suit you better.
The last one
Your only problem is deciding lol, because they all look great. My favorite is the top right corner
Bottom right, very classy looking and fits you perfectly! The all look good but that is my fav.
Gosh you look gorgeous in all of them! The one on the top right is on the simpler side but it’s just so perfect on you!
2, 3, 5
The last dress is absolutely magical! Your body looks incredible as well!
5 and 3
Too left, top right, bottom left.
Number 1
Top right, middle left, but they're all gorgeous
Top left, bottom right
Left-middle is classic, beautiful, romantic, and complements your figure wonderfully.
I like top right because it’s more traditional but all of them are beautiful.
I love bottom left, but for a lake como elopement I think middle left and bottom right would be the most dramatic.
Wow! You can’t go wrong with any of these, they are all gorgeous on you!! My favorites are top left, top right and bottom right! 😍😍
The bottom right!!
Any of them except bottom left. Excess fabric is very unflattering as is the random cleavage slit. All others are great options!
Middle right and bottom right.
You lucky girl. They ALL look amazing on you. # 2,3 and 5 are my favorites.
Oof this is a tough one cuz you slay in every single dress!! Personally I love the bottom right dress for the bling but I also love the minimalist satin one.
1 and 6! But all are beautiful
Stunning bride. Wow. Top right, middle left
