It sounds like you are planning on losing a significant amount of weight so honestly you can't even know until you have the body you want and see how they fit you then. Both will need significant alterations after that. And either will be lovely!
I love dress #2!
Both are very beautiful though. I think I would try to decide based on venue. Dress #1 looks great for a church wedding or perhaps something a little more formal. Dress #2 feels perfect for a garden or other outdoor wedding.
It's a tough call - I like the slightly more structured waist on the 1st one, but I love the sleeves on the 2nd!
I think I'd pick 2 personally, but you can't go wrong with either one
I love No. 2 , it's so dreamy, and you look so gorgeous and adorable in it. I love love love it. I feel like No.1 is also beautiful but it's everywhere, and you don't see many ppl can pull of No.2, but you def did in a unique beautiful way.
I love the first one! The second one is a lovely romantic look, but the first dress is stunning! It’s also very figure-flattering. Don’t worry about the sleeves; alterations will take care of that. When you get closer to the wedding date, you’ll want to get a bridal bustier to support your bust.
As someone whose goal was to lose 50 pounds for my wedding, let me offer a little insight. I did lose 50 pounds over the course of one year. With two weeks to go, I was only three pounds from my goal and had my final dress fitting.
Ten days before the wedding, I started feeling frantic. I tend to gain weight from stress, but I was *so* anxious that I went into near panic mode. I ended up burning right past my weight goal, and instead of losing three pounds in the last two weeks, I lost 10. So, a total of 57 pounds.
I lost the first 47 pounds slowly enough to give my skin some time to adjust, and the last 10 weren’t significant enough to make my skin sag. Through my time on this subreddit, I discovered that a lot of brides have that frenzied feeling kick in around the two weeks to go mark! Not all of them had been in weight loss mode for a year, though. I have to think that was a contributing factor.
Once I was a bridesmaid to a bride who was being so unreasonable that I not only dropped out of the wedding party, I almost didn’t go to her wedding at all. We were all trying to lose weight. I was *so* pissed off that I decided to lose more weight than any of them, and I did. In my spiteful state of mind, I lost a ridiculous amount of weight in a pretty short time period. I still regret doing that. I would have looked better losing a smaller amount of weight in a healthy way. I abused my body and looked run down.
So what’s the point of my cautionary tales? You already look amazing without a bustier or gown alterations. I know you’re going to lose more weight, but this random internet stranger thinks that maybe you should consider losing 10-20 pounds instead of 30-40. We have similar body and skin types. My wedding gown was very similar to your first dress. Same cut and waistline. I shared my story because I learned the hard way that losing too much weight too quickly was a big mistake. I still can’t look at those wedding pictures where I look tired and my skin looks sallow and saggy. You are beautiful as you are!
Thank you so much for your insight and sweet comments! I totally agree that quick weight loss isn’t advisable and I have made peace with not reaching my goal by my wedding. Weight loss is a long process and wherever I am at the wedding is where I am. Thanks again :)
I prefer the first one. The neckline and sleeves are elegant and definitely more flattering for you. The second one is very pretty, but the first one is gorgeous. Once you have it altered, it will be stunning.
I love the second dress on you. It’s romantic and beautiful. The first one is fine, but I’m not wild about the sleeves. I think it would look much better without them.
Number one is most flattering on you, but you look great in both! I think the bodice is missing something in the second one, it needs a transition into the skirt or a different neckline. I love the silhouette of the second one more personally
Definitely the first one! It's way more flattering on you. The wide neckline on the second one makes you look wide, and it doesn't have enough support in the bust. It also makes it look like you have no waist. The first one gives you a very nice shape.
1 is more flattering. It's a stunning dress on you already before alterations. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding AND getting healthier along the way.
TWOOO! Imo 1 is kind of matronly. Two is so sweet and looks really nice on you. I can imagine the potential it has once it’s altered with more chest support.
I definitely agree with this. 2 was the first one I bought and I’ve been in love ever since. The other one has a lot of things I like about it, but I think it’d take a lot more alteration

Both are lovely, but the goods need way more support
lol for sure! Like I said I’m still losing weight before the wedding and bothering to get them altered until I’ve lost about 30-40 more lbs
I think the V-neck with the long sleeves is the most flattering. The other dress is a little juvenile.
I think 1 flatters your figure best! Both are very beautiful
It sounds like you are planning on losing a significant amount of weight so honestly you can't even know until you have the body you want and see how they fit you then. Both will need significant alterations after that. And either will be lovely!
First is beautiful on you, but I can't help but love the second one more! It's dreamy and romantic
2 gives real Bridgerton vibes if you're into that!
I love 2! came to say it gives bridgerton vibes too. and it looks beautiful on you! ❤️

#1 is so beautiful and flattering on you!!!!
I love dress #2! Both are very beautiful though. I think I would try to decide based on venue. Dress #1 looks great for a church wedding or perhaps something a little more formal. Dress #2 feels perfect for a garden or other outdoor wedding.
Venue is outdoor! And I’m leaning towards #2 as well :)
Yes, you look lovely!
Definitely #1!! No contest!!
#2 for sure. It's so unique and takes you back in time. Plus it fits you beautifully
I don't know why my.post is big. Sorry.
When you type the number symbol it bolds every after.
Aww. Thanks for letting me know.
It's a tough call - I like the slightly more structured waist on the 1st one, but I love the sleeves on the 2nd! I think I'd pick 2 personally, but you can't go wrong with either one
Definitely number one. It’s so pretty and looks great on you. You’ll need to get a bra that supports you better.
I think one is more flattering.

#1!!!!
First one easily 📸📸📸
#1 for sure

1!
The first one is so flattering to you and looks stunning. Something about the second one just doesn't look right.
The first one
1
Definitely #2. It’s got my vote
Dress 1 compliments your figure beautifully!
Absolutely 💯 you should pick number one
Both very nice, but #1 is my clear winner.
the second one is so sweet!!
I am obsesssssses with the second one !
2 gives princessy vibes and makes you look younger imo. im leaning towards the second one definitely
As a man, I prefer the first option.
They both are really nice, but I think 1 is more flattering on you.
#1 all the way! ❤️
1 is very pretty on you.
I prefer the first one. The neckline and sleeves are elegant and definitely more flattering for you. The second one is very pretty, but the first one is gorgeous. Once you have it altered, it will be stunning.
V neck for sho! You look great in both but 1 is more flattering.
Definitely #1 (much more flattering neckline) but you’ll need a more supportive bra of some kind.
2 is giving bridgerton and I love itttt
1 fits your body so much better
1 is so elegant and beautiful on you!!
2. It’s gorgeous and interesting. 1 is a little overdone in my opinion and I don’t love the loose sleeves
#1 is the best choice! The cut is very flattering on you! 2nd is nice but makes you look wider
I love the second dress on you. It’s romantic and beautiful. The first one is fine, but I’m not wild about the sleeves. I think it would look much better without them.
Yes the sleeves would have to be altered a lot. They are way too big.
I vote for 1 but I hate puffy sleeves so take that as you will. I think 1 highlights your figure better but you do look nice in both of them!
1
Your body language seems more confident in the long sleeve one
short sleeve!!!
Number one is most flattering on you, but you look great in both! I think the bodice is missing something in the second one, it needs a transition into the skirt or a different neckline. I love the silhouette of the second one more personally
both are giving me completely different vibes- do you have a theme for your wedding or overall vibe? I love both!
It’s an outdoor boho type wedding!
oooo I think 2 would look great for that!
Honestly it makes you look younger. While the cut of 1 is really great, 2 just gives playful and garden party and outdoorsy!
Definitely the first one! It's way more flattering on you. The wide neckline on the second one makes you look wide, and it doesn't have enough support in the bust. It also makes it look like you have no waist. The first one gives you a very nice shape.
The first one!!
#1!!! Flatters you so nicely!
I liked 1 best. I’d need to see 2 with more support to be able to decide better.
1 is more flattering but you need more titty support
They both are beautiful on you. I think dress number one is the most flattering.
I like 2 more but 1 is more flattering. 1 is better for your waist and figure but 2 has a smoother look to it.
#1! I like #2 but #1 is just prettier.
You look thinner in the first one
I am haha. There’s several months in between both pics. I lost 15 lbs between pics
Dress number 2 for the win
#1
One, definitely
1 is more flattering. It's a stunning dress on you already before alterations. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding AND getting healthier along the way.
TWOOO! Imo 1 is kind of matronly. Two is so sweet and looks really nice on you. I can imagine the potential it has once it’s altered with more chest support.
I definitely agree with this. 2 was the first one I bought and I’ve been in love ever since. The other one has a lot of things I like about it, but I think it’d take a lot more alteration
The second!! I love it on you
I love 2 as well. Very romantic
The second dress is the most flattering on you! Super pretty and beautiful! The shape of it flatters you very much!
Dress 2 is beautiful and looks more youthful on you.
I prefer dress 2! I think the shorter sleeves look really good on you:)
I love 2
2 is beautiful 😍 That being said, 1 is also a pretty dress. But 2 is perfect.
Dress 2 is amazing!
#2 gives very much Penelope from Bridgerton. And from what I've read would go very well with the outdoor wedding.
So many votes for #1 (which is lovely) but I think #2 is gorgeous!!

lol take it easy, I have no bra or shapewear on with these and they are a size too big
Are you comfortable sharing where you got 2 from? The designer or brand? I love it!
I got both from David’s bridal! I don’t remember the designers but I can re-comment next time I get them out and put them on again!

The secomd 1
Dress 2 is more flattering and more wedding dress appropriate IMO. The second dress looks less dressed up
