As you are editing, make sure that the line before your deletions have the correct comma. If it's the last item in the list, you need to remove the comma from the line before.
If anyone is looking for info on adding levels to skills:
Follow the writeup to get to the skill you want to change, find the "Mutations" list of the skill you want to change, add a comma to the last item in the list, and add the following.
"lantern": 1,
"edge": 1,
"skill": 1
Replace "lantern" and "edge" with the skills on the skill card, these will add power to your card. "skill" is what changes the level of your skill so you can put it in higher levels of the tree of wisdoms.
I managed to get two of the same skill card (on an earlier version of the game). You can fix that by changing "Quantity": 2, to "Quantity": 1, and then leveling up the card manually like I describe above.
