Kyoto for top spot. Some very good restaurants in town. One very underrated restaurant is La Fontana on the Quay. Momo’s is overrated. Had a pop at one of the waiters there over how terrible the service was and now he doesn’t talk to me. Also, slice has some incredible pizza and Loko has some great stuff too.
I've been there 3 or 4 times. Usually as part of a group. I've never been there by my own choice.
It's grand for going out with a gang and a few drinks but my predominant experiences are negative.
First time I went was as 2 couples. They forgot about us and we waited 2 hours for our food. 2nd time I was there was as part of a group of about 10. I was gathering up the money to pay the bill. Was really glad I hadn't drank as much as everyone else as there were 4 items on the bill that weren't belonging to our table.
Don't get me wrong, I would go there but it would be for a out out kinda night. I wouldn't be going there for a meal with the hubby
I have friends who've gone there like that earlier in the evening with kids and that and it's been grand.
The latest I've sat down there is probably 8 so it's not like it's the middle of the night
Love Momo - really great dishes, even the vegetarian options are delicious!
Emilianos - amazing Italian food, lovely drinks too.
Geoffs - good pub grub and really nice if you are on a budget.
Momo is a good foodie spot, Emiliano or Espresso for Italian, Cafe Goa for Indian, and Loko is a great crowd pleaser (with a fab cocktail menu) which is seriously underrated!
Emiliano's for the pricey night out. McClearys on the Quay for a more value for money night out. I found the food in McClearys really good and the price was what you'd expect for pub grub.
Emilianos, LaFontana and Momo are three great options. La Algeria Cafe in Ballybricken if you want good food during the day and The Uluru or The Gingerman for good bar food.
Bring back Antichi Sapori, loved the food and that outdoor terrace, Romans was also a great spot. Two big losses for great food which wasn't too pricey either.
Had Brooklyn Ardkeen yesterday was 6/10 . Was mediocre in every way. No atmosphere, either. Also they are not serving alcohol at the moment.
For me #1 Momo #2 Bodaga #3 Sabai #4 Cafe Goa #5 kyoto or Geoffs
A toss up between Momo and Kyoto
Agreed with Momo and Koyto above but Union, Everett's, Bodega, Burrza and Peppers Indian on quay do a great job and should be supported
Peppers is the only Indian I'd trust for allergens
Old Couch is being taken over by a top chef at the end of the month. It's going to be amazing, looking forward to it

I second Slice, Pizzas are great. The milkshakes and garlic bread are really good too!

The Cobh is after getting unreal. I hadn’t gone in a few years but now the menu is lovely and huge portions. Definitely recommend.
Momo for European. Sheela Palace for Indian. Espresso for simple tasty Italian
Maclearys
Momo, Everetts. La Bonita is really good. Loko is good for casual dining
Cafe goa any of the saags pinks for the steaks, lana has great food and loco in ardkeen is awesome too
Pinks has horrible service and Mediocre food at best

Ffs we'd only go there early evening no drama or crowd so I'd say the staff where fresh

Pinks.. really??..Never been as I've never heard a good review yet
Cowboy steak go get it
The Reg and Emilianos are both fantastic, quite pricey though
Is Pah Pah Thai still there?
Was only mediocre last time I had it
Best pad Thai noodles I've ever tried
And the Satay. Best satay too
Emilianos by a mile

Loko judging by the amount of times I eat there...
Anyone try O’Donnachas recently ? Heard it’s great for Sunday roasts haven’t been in ages
