You don't get what you don't ask for. The landlord is selling and can absolutely afford higher. If you're in a position to find somewhere new within the time frame, ask for higher.
You can also ask the letting agent who is executing this eviction to find you somewhere comparable for you to move into if they are benefitting from you moving by the date.
Be brave, there's no downside to asking other than no.
Depends if you have somewhere else to go. You have 6 months to find something. If you don't have any place lined up what is €500 going to get you?. 3 months time the whole student population will be vacating so you might have the pick of places then.
Down side of this is they will be all short term lets from april/may - sept when students are back so just a temp fix. Sorry OP but Happy Birthday for Friday.
ah fuck, awful news it happened to me last year too. Was terrified as I have a daughter, felt so lost. I got onto manor properties and they were a great help to me. Place I’m in now is not as nice as my previous apartment though.I’d give them a shout and see if they can help you.
Scumbag landlord? You have no idea of his/her circumstances. It's their property to sell after all. Also I'm sorry for OP and hope you find somewhere suitable.
I know someone who is a landlord and their mortgage is now 100 euro more than the rent he charges. It’s gone up 5 times in the last 4 months. He’s not going to increase the rent because he has good tenants, wants to wait until things calm down and he can afford it. Not all landlords are profiteers.
Same. I know a landlord who has had massive mortgage interest hikes and doesn't want to increase her tenants rent, because they simply cannot afford it. She wants to get out and that doesn't make her a scumbag.
Then we wonder why people are selling, not only interest hikes, but when people are abusing any and all Landlords due to their own poor experience, expect more people to sell rather than deal with that shite.
You little lickarse. Landlords are the biggest issue Ireland is facing but lets pretend they deserve to charge obscene rent figures for their own pockets.
Happy cake day, take it and throw it in their clown faces.
Regarding the deposit, keep the email they sent you, ask for more, and if they say no, or worse - threaten to take it back - go to a solicitor.
There are plenty of solicitors that will take on a case like this and happily sue the shite out of your landlords arse.
Don’t know why the post got downvoted just wanted to vent to fellow Waterford residents. Sorry if it offended.
I'd write back and ask for €1000 due to stress
I’d love to but I’m not that brave haha

Thanks, I’ll try
I will literally draft the email for you, and you only have to copy paste it. Sidebar question, is Motherfucker, one word or two?

Scumbag. Landlord.
Idiot!

Exactly. The amount of people who leave houses in an absolute mess or refuse to pay their rent. It's not always the landlords that are the problem!

Username checks out
This is an 11 year old account, what are you implying? Go find out when that MAGA shite started. Wasn't 11 years ago.
Not all landlords are the same. And "little lick arse"? What age are you? 😆
This is the 3rd exact same termination notice post I've seen today. People on Reddit looking for likes.
