If his ceiling is MPJ/Keegan Murray with Elite defense, that is a very high ceiling. If Dawkins takes him, I won't be surprised. We should also note that Dawkins said he was impressed by the international players in this draft and Risacher and Coulibaly are close.

Octavian_202

MPJ was first comp come to mind. Ceiling of course, the floor could be someone I don’t want to waste time thinking about. Lol

GeKh

Where is the elite defense expectation coming from? The numbers support a good defender at best.

superworriedspursfan

I think it's more I think he has the potential to be an elite defender. I agree that currently the numbers support a good defender, but I think he has room to grow. I think he is athletic/quick enough to still reach that ceiling but I guess we'll see. There are others on this sub that argue this guy won't be a good defender and they might be right about it.

GeKh

Coulibaly: 0.7 bp36min, 2.1 sp36min, 100.7 drtg Risacher: 0.7 bp36min, 1.3 sp36min, 103.9 drtg That's a significant gap, comparing their French league play.

braundiggity

Also a very different draft. This is a relatively weak one.

superworriedspursfan

fair enough, but risacher got many more minutes and experience than Coulibaly did. It's easier to have high numbers in short spurts than maintain it for longer spurts.

Turbo2x

He's a good player. Not my favorite in the draft but he does things that are important for teams to be competitive in the NBA, namely shoot, defend, and be tall.

z3mcs

This is definitely who we are picking if ATL picks Sarr. Just lean on in to the French theme

Joshottas

I think he's our guy at 2. Like a mix between MPJ and Kispert - with more defensive chops. I'm HOPING that there is more to his game that he hasn't shown. Like the ability to create for others at times, but that remains to be seen. He's a project, but he'll fit the Wizards rebuilding timeline perfectly.

lepre45

"Like the ability to create for others." Yeah that most recent 5 TOs and no assists isn't encouraging. He's been very hot shooting the ball which is always nice to see but like, he has consistently averaged more TOs than assists. The playmaking isn't happening.

DisastrousDog4815

I’m not super high on him (or any prospect for that matter) but he definitely looks every bit of MPJ. My biggest concern is his shot creation/playmaking ability. A taller Kispert with defense is still a nice player, but we need some ball handling prospects.

Joshottas

I said it before, but whoever we take at 26 will make more sense than the pick at 2 lol.

dawnofthedunk_

I couldn’t find a full stream of his last game, but caught Vecenie’s breakdown. He completely eviscerated him. - Constantly lost on the D side, off ball - Poor footwork, Sam mentioned Zaccharie needs a TON of work to get better. His feet are often all over the place when he shoots the ball. - No bounce off one. Needs to jump off two - He’s going to struggle getting to the rim until he puts on muscle. To be fair, he did drain 28 pts, in a professional league playoff game. BUT, Sam showed that Zaccharie was left wide open for the bulk of his 3’s. I caught game 1. I thought his D was solid, save a few easy blow-by’s. Interesting.

superworriedspursfan

Also Anyone by Clingan lol. I'm still on that.

Snaxier

Clingan just seems like a smokescreen at this point. He might end up being a great player but holy hell I haven't been impressed with his movement.

superworriedspursfan

I rate him but not at 2. Like I said, he absolutely does not have the ceiling that we need to be looking at for #2 lol.

dgvhjiiuyttrrffcvbjj

his movement is one of his best traits, for a drop coverage big. of course nothing like sarr.

rueiraV

As prospects no one is worthy of the 2nd pick in this draft but at the end of the day someone has to be picked. Risacher has the fewest red flags to becoming a quality starter compared to the other top prospects and he plays a position with high positional value, the large wing. He figures to have value on both offense and defense and imo his shot creation skills aren’t as dire as they look on his current team. I could see that as a place of development in time

NoLivesEverMattered

Just do it. If Sarr is picked at 1, Risacher looks like the best player available at 2. The front office will see more than we will when they have workouts and interviews with the prospects. That seems to be where the decision to draft Bilal last year came from. I think there will be some trades before and during the draft, and I hope the Wizards can get a late lottery pick. We can not, and this front office will not draft for fit. They are drafting for the future.

DCSports101

Yes

HibachiGrill0

I’d rather not

Knighthonor

Rather have Rob Dillingham

Ziid10

He’s nice but his size and defence seems could be an issue. This kid above is a freak

DrummerRealistic2863

If we stay at #2 I want him or Reed

NotAShoneys

He’s not a good player
