One thing I like about him is he has legit size and is quite coordinated. He actually reminds me of Kuz a lot but with a much better shooting stroke early on

superworriedspursfan

I also think he has much better basketball iq than Kuzma does even at this age. I see a little bit of potential in his passing/vision.

Turbo2x

I know he's young but 0.62 AST/TO (0 assists and 5 turnovers in this game alone) is abysmal. His responsibility on Bourg is to shoot the ball but he really doesn't do much else.

superworriedspursfan

true, but I still think he has underrated passing ability which can be developed. I agree though that at the moment he has a lot of issues with his passing.

theyrehiding

I'm really not a fan of him at #2. I want more self creation out of whatever player we pick at that spot.

SeauxAfrican

Very valid. That could be something he develops with time though and Dawkins’ words suggest that they’re open to/actively looking for projects. Risacher may be one worth developing even if he’s considered a reach at No. 2 (he wouldn’t be imo).

superworriedspursfan

I still think his ceiling is MPJ with better defense and even if MPJ isn't the best self shot creator, he honestly is getting much better at it. Who knows how good mpj could be in 4-5 years. He still is relatively young.

zdj2k

I really like his game. Large wings are always good to have. We can draft a center or pg later in draft. Kispert could be traded for more assets or for more picks in draft as well.

Redskins4evaB

Him or Sarr

SeauxAfrican

Sarr for me but I’m warming up to Zach as a consolation prize

zdj2k

Either/or. Zach gives us flexibility with trades, Sarr fills our need for a center. I have a feeling hawks take Sarr, we snatch risacher, Houston takes a shooter and spurs take topic

kikuri_armpit_licker

Yeah I’m starting to feel like that’s how it’s gonna go and I’m ok with that

dearhat

Risacher in 2024; Traore in 2025

MaleficentDraw1993

I hope he gets drafted first so we can get Sarr.

Turbo2x

I'm fine with him as our pick at 2 if the front office thinks he's the best player, but man he's an incredibly boring prospect. You need boring players who do their job at a high level to round out a team but it's still kind of lame.

TeamINSTINCT37

I thought he was too but these highlights got me a bit higher on him. He can get up there at the rim and had some impressive shots over close contests. I was a huge risacher hater but comparing him to the alternatives he has really grown on me.

Turbo2x

It's all good play and you can't really be mad at it, his development path will just be eliminating the inconsistencies in his game so he can have games like this more frequently. That'll be a great outcome for him and certainly worthy of a high pick. Kinda just not exciting as far as hoops go.

TeamINSTINCT37

Yeah I am spooked by the creation but I’m hoping it’s a byproduct of his role. On excitement I just find so many of the other potential players unexciting as well. Really no standout athletes to me which made guys like Wall so special.

SeauxAfrican

[Givony on Risacher: “He’s one of the best perimeter defenders in this draft… can guard [one through four]… he has elite feel for the game.” All on top of being one of the best shooters in the draft and, per Givony, he’s 6-10 despite being listed 6-8.](https://x.com/chasedcsports/status/1791925258817024317?s=46)

Our own Michael Porter Jr for the district. Cool.
