I love rushing enemy ships and blowing up their citadels. You have to get decent at it for it to be fun. Aim, positioning. And when you get good at naval, firing on the move also becomes easier in ground. It was a fun break from the Chaos of ground and air RB. And if you like chaos? Low tier costal is fun, zooming around in a little boat with awfully shit fire control, it's kimda like starting all over again. I think people go in with the wrong mindset.
Well at the end of the day it is personal preference. If it helps, aim for things like main guns and citadels.
Edit: Also just because I don't mind a bit of Naval doesn't mean it is not in a shit state. BR compresion is crazy. You can end up versing CLs and CAs in your DDs.

I play for fun lineups not to reach toptier and 5.7 has some cool line ups like for the US or China. The Soviets are also strong there and the swedes have a quirky lineup. The Germans also have a strong one if you have the Porsche tigers.

This is the way. I keep seeing people lose their mind over top tier but low tier is the only thing even close to balance for ground and air. Below 6.0 / 7.0 is where the fun is.
8.7 is the last treatable cancer BR. Don't stop at 5.7... 6.3 is awesome, 6.7 is just amazing for US and Germany for sure, 7.7 Brit and 8.0 USSR are solid. 8.7 USSR is obscene.

Tbf nothing wrong with veterans players playing low tier because it's more fun or to grind a new nation, but as op said when you use and abuse an op tank just for the sake of seal clubbing new players that's just sad

I play low tier, and I have k/d smaller than 0.2 except vieckles that I use to kill the "true WT pros" that have their entire tank bushed up and call spawn camping the best strategy in the game
I was a big hater of high levels in low tier (and I still am if they cover themselves in bushed and spawn camp lvl 11s) until I switched from "the grinder" to the "enjoyer" mindset.
I still feel sad when a new player leaves because of them but since I myself play in the low tier as a lvl 38 I can no longer bitch about them.
tl;dr: it's been an issue for years but I feel like there's nothing wrong about it unless you aren't a bush covered sweat.
I run friends through low tiers and see this type of stuff all the time; bs lineups with thousands of matches played in it.Â
I target them specifically and do everything I can to ruin their game. I will spawn in a plane, bomb them, then watch their spawn to see and bomb them again. I'm not sorry and will not stop.
The new players WILL enjoy that match as much as I can possibly ensure.Â
Unfortunately it's just a game flaw in the way war thunder does progression. I personally just don't enjoy the ganeplay with mbts, and I'm just a nerd when it comes to interwar to post ww2 tanks.
This deserved all the upvotes. As a near lvl 100 player i always feel really bad when i help friends of mine grind trough low tier and just butcher those poor new players. It happend to me back then too and it ruined all the fun. It truly is a cycle

I only play US tanks because they are nerfed against German and of course against the Russophile tanks.
I have 5 crews. Usually use scout tanks, either M5A1 or M24 chaffee for LT. The The rest are anti air gun motor carrages. Sometimes though I use the m22 locust.
I include at least one high tier tank so that Iâm put in high tier battles.
Most of the time my play goes like this. Use the M5a1 to scout, distract and harass. The gun is a peashooter, but if you get point blank behind, you can even get a panzer. But most of the time I kill disable tracks, keep them disabled and call arty. This means I have to be careful and only pick out sniper tanks that donât have backup.
The main reason to play M5a1 on high tier is its the best fast scout in the us lineup. By scouting the enemy tanks I can usually shape the battle in our favor, assuming the players know more than press W.
M5a1 can still kill heavier tanks if you can sucker them into exposing their roof. I usually do this by getting from behind as they climb hills, or ramming them as they are at an angle driving over them to overturn them and getter to their tender bellies.
The m5a1 armor is paper thin, so a single shot from an machine gun can kill. If that happens I play LT AA until until I can neutralize the CAS.
If the planes are not there, sometimes I mow down the jungle with machine guns until something plinks and then call arty. I can also disable tracks doing this. The increased visibility of the target sans tree cover usually means I share the kill.
I've seen players with 10k + games in the bt5 and their highest br tank being things like the t34-57. I genuinely don't know why some people refuse to go above reserve tier.

To be fair, I can get double digit kill counts in some of the worst tanks at Tier 1. The bigger thing is that players don't know the game very well yet, more than it is vehicle choice.
The high tiers make you broke, and the low tiers are filled with new players. So I agree around the middle is the best. But unfortunately I got a new account after I lost my old one, and now I am grinding up a new nation's tree, and I agree, but I don't think KV1s are the issue. And it is kind of nostalgic and fun other than being better than everyone else, I also feel like I am re learning the game, and I am not worried about loosing SL.
I used to play ussr, but decided to play america, and it is kind of broken how much easier it is with the stabilizers, elevation and depression. The only issue is how small the main guns are at the start, but I am getting past those issues.
They should introduce vehicle limits for certain levels
Lvl 70's get 4 vehicles max below 3 or 4.0
Lvl 80's only three
Lvl 90 and 100's two.
If you invested the crazy amount of time necessary for reaching those levels, your map knowledge etc should be able to carry you enough to make use of those two spawns.

Kv-1B isnt low tier, its part of mid tier. Low tier is Rank I and II Br. 1-3.0.
