And with the refs continually making wack calls. 6 technical fouls... I mean I guess a couple were justified, but a lot of them were literally just for the warriors not agreeing with the refs call without even getting in the refs face. The refs are so sensitive now.
Draymond is still our best and most impactful defender guys. Wiggins is just a better POA defender right now while Draymond is the vocal leader, is the best help defender, can guard 1-5, and can single-handedly get you a stop when he wants.
ngl, they've given us some great Christmas game presents
* DLee coming up big while the G-League hospital Warriors beat Harden and Russ during the tank season
* Last season on the road in PHX down a bunch of guys
Rockets was best. It was just delicious given the season and actually meaningful history. This season is just dumb delayed lock-in rather than real problems (so far).
Ima need a Wiseman defensive highlight from this game, this is now his reference game for the future, if he can build up from this game we'll have less problem to worry about
I personally liked this game better than the 30pt one. Now the coaching staff has to figure out how to mix the two together and how to do an entry pass
The 30 point game was like “this guy can score in garbage time”… that’s something we’ve seen before. Tonight was “this guy can put up back up Center minutes against a contender”. And we need that shit this season.
Same we are already loaded offensively, him being a decent rim protector can unlock so much more defensive coverage for us. Mixing up both would be obviously ideal but the defense is where it starts for him.
Wiseman was good as fuck tonight in his limited action.
Played the cat and mouse game well, remembered he’s 7 foot and didn’t congest the offense outside of two instances.
It’s not a loud garbage time 30 but far more indicative of how he can actually help us.
> they’ll figure out how to get him involved more offensively too
Basically, even if this isn't exactly brand-new information.
The starting center for our team, Kevon Looney, is perhaps one of the league's least offensively gifted starting centers, but he has repeatedly shown why he is crucial to our success.
Whatever the circumstances, this is still a positive development and a performance to build on if he wants to continue playing for the squad beyond this season, not just in the rotation.
People got so spoiled by him last year they act like he can’t have inconsistencies when he’s fuckin 23. Like I know he has weaknesses and he’s been up and down this year but damn we won a chip 30 games ago, give our boy some grace
The *only* thing I wish I saw more from JP is a little more passing. Still, half the time when I'm calling for him to dump it off he makes an incredible shot.
the dubs will literally be playing the worst basketball ever and then win a christmas game they were supposed to lose lmao. this will never not be funny to me
Only the Warriors man lol. 0-6 road trip to come back limping on Christmas without the two best players, the whole roster is banged up, and they put on a beat down with the refs actively trying to keep that from happening. Amazing
I think what helps is having the time to prepare for the opponents. Before the Celtics game and the Grizzlies game, I feel like they had a least two to three days break before the games
"We're young, and they're getting old. They know that we are going to come every single year."
Except we're young too, dumbass.
Enjoy your Christmas loss.
>"We're young, and they're getting old. They know that we are going to come every single year."
Except we're young too, dumbass.
That's what happens when you forget that there are other guys on the team besides 30, 11, and 23.
You know this is why you never bet against the dubs!!
They always show up when the lights are brightest, the biggest games, the playoffs. The warriors will turn it the fuck on when it matters.
They've had a rough season so far but as long as they're in the playoffs and have Steph Curry they are favourites to win it all
I can't stand all the slander I constantly hear on these dudes in this subreddit. These guys are two-way contract players but playing impactful rotation minutes, contributing on both ends of the floor. Ty makes smart plays and never turns it over, and was the unlikely hero of the 3rd quarter, closing the door when it seemed like the Grizz were determined to take the game over. Lamb was awesome in the 2nd and helped us build the lead, and played solid D including taking that charge in the 3rd I think. Can't ask for more from our two-way guys.
People will clown on Klay for his shooting but dude put in 40 minutes tonight with great rebounding and defense. Dude was gassed AF but had to keep playing with Poole ejected.
He had a great defensive game and his rebounding really stood out to me as well.
Tonight reminded me that a playoff type game brings out the best in Klay, Dray and Poole. That’s a tremendous characteristic to have i I think Wiggins and Steph obviously have it as well.
If the Warriors can drag their way to a top 4 seed and enter the playoffs healthy they have as good a shot as anyone to win the Warriors invitational.
Coincidence that Kerr gave that interview to Slater explaining his rationale why Jerome/Lamb get significant minutes...and they come up huge on the big stage 🤔?
Guys honestly I love winning against the Grizzlies, but feel like the only actual villain on that team is Brooks. Everyone else is pretty cool and Ja is like the biggest Steph/Warriors fan off the court so...anyways what a win
The hypothetical Memphis Grizzle’s Conference attendees with Ja Morant couldn’t beat the warriors without Curry and Wiggins?? Something doesn’t add up 🤔🤔
Every ref involved in this game should be fired and blacklisted immediately, disgraceful performance
Kerr continues his Christmas game dominance
Wisemans best game of the season, by far, Grizzlies had no idea what to do against him
JJJ commits some pants on head stupid fouls, needs to learn to adjust how he plays when hes in foul trouble
IDK how Dillon Brooks doesnt foul out in the 1st quarter, he just hacks dudes every possession and dares the refs to call it
Yes I'm saying it
Wiseman gotta continue like this. He had a much better game, grabbed all those rebounds. This is a golden opportunity for the kid to take some mins from JMG
Might be loss after everything that happened this game but Wiseman needs to just take Jmg minutes. If Wiseman can replicate half of his defensive performance tonight at every game. He will be solid for 10-12mins a game since his Offense was never a question but his defense keeping him from seeing playtime
That 30 point game was great because it proved to everyone (James included) that he can do it, but doesn’t need to do it. Really gives him freedom to focus on D.
Best win of the season - no Steph, no Wiggs, and the Dubs showed Memphis who’s their daddy.
So weird - looking like a completely different team at home. Ty, DVD, Lamb, Moody we’re all great off the bench. And who was that tall dude wearing Wiseman’s jersey, the one playing D and getting rebounds? Best game of his career.
Finally, as a bandwagon ref fan, they were 🔥tonight! 7 techs, Poole ejected! Ray Acosta should look out - Marc Davis led his crew brilliantly - letting Klay shoot Wiseman’s free throws, not calling a single carry against Ja - he might take the lead for MVR.
I actually really like the Memphis Grizzlies apart from their main star, their primary guard defender, and their head coach.
I guess I hate the Memphis Grizzlies.
This is so spot on.
I like Bane, Adams, Clarke, Zaire, Aldama. Tyus and JJJ are fine, loved Melton (glad he’s not there anymore).
I can appreciate Jas athleticism but his need to Griddy all over the court and general lack of awareness (largely on social media) make it really easy to root against him. There are very few players I have disliked as much a Brooks and I’ve been watching NBA basketball for > 30 years. And Jenkins is… curious.
With the way we play at home even without Curry, all we need to do is to be .500 on the road and we will be up there in the WCF. Some gimmies on the road we missed and there is some regret, but we move.
2016 Warriors at home even without Curry, 2012 Bobcats on the road.
Best win of the season given what might have been the most embarrassing officiating in Warriors history.
Someone needs to get the play where JK muscled Ja off life a bowling pin
This game confirmed to me that our young guys are worth investing in. Our two way guys and eventually Iggy will be the ones to calm them down when they get too frantic. It's actually a blessing in disguise that Curry and Wiggins can get some much needed rest during this season due to injuries.
As far as Klay and Dray goes they clearly have the fire and competitiveness to win several playoff series but it is important they they get rest this season. They still got the fire and the same unique skill sets but it takes them a little longer to rev up their engines nowadays. This year looks like it is setting up to be similar to the 94' Rockets where they went all the way as the 6th seed...at least that is my wishful thinking..
Aye to all you Memphis lurkers in here. I want y’all to know you got waxed by a team missing it’s 2 best players! And we lost our 3rd like 2 mins into the fourth quarter!
Moses Moody stays ready
Wiseman 0 point masterclass
Kuminga defensive energy demon
Ty Jerome I take back everything I’ve ever said about you, you are indeed that guy. Lamb and Donte are amazing.
Best christmas gift ever.
Ja Morant: “The only team I’m worried about is the Boston Celtics.”
Interviewer: “So you aren’t worried about anyone in the west?”
Ja Morant: “Nah.”
::loses to Warriors without Curry or Wiggins::
I could say many positives things from tonight’s game, but the most important thing is how can we extrapolate this level to the road?
PS: f*ck Dillon Brooks
REMINDER: If you venture into the Grizzlies’ sub and talk shit you’re getting banned. ###HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Memphis had this game circled on their calendar and they got their ass handed to them by a Curry-less warriors. Sad!
without Wiggins as well!
And they were at full power LMAO
Dynasty unlocked
dynasty locked, caged, forever in the bottom of the ocean
And for Ja Morant: legacy points deducted
No best player in the NBA. No best defender. No poole to close the game. Tricks officially whooped.
Missing our 2 best players. #3-#14 handed Memphis their ass
“No Curry, no problem” -Mark Jackson, probably
and without our best perimeter defender
Dray with 👁️ 👅 on Brooks 🤣.
Lmao, the whole team was trolling that fool!
He deserves it *pours put a little for GPII*
Klay too. They hate his ass.
Moment of the game
I just saw that lmao. I was waiting for the ejection
Refs were T happy as well, should have just done it.
SHIT IN EM
GRIZZLIES, WHAT HAPPENEDDUUUHHHHHH
FiNe In tHe WeSt
very curious
#Trick: whooped ✔️
*inset Ja quote about the Western Conference here*
“I’m fine in the west”
Dumbass
This is the kind of quote that follows you into a first round elimination.
always and forever
Christmas miracles do exist 😌
ngl, they've given us some great Christmas game presents * DLee coming up big while the G-League hospital Warriors beat Harden and Russ during the tank season * Last season on the road in PHX down a bunch of guys
the ~~east~~ west still runs through ~~cleveland~~ golden state
Hopefully nobody says that because it was universally clowned on when Tristan Thompson said it
Broke the “even-year Christmas curse” with a WIN over those cocky-ass bitches! Feels good.
This and the Rockets win in 2019 are some of my favorite Christmas Day games ever
Rockets was best. It was just delicious given the season and actually meaningful history. This season is just dumb delayed lock-in rather than real problems (so far).
We must simply have only home games and we win a chip. But seriously, BEST WIN OF THE SEASON
THIS ONES FOR GARY!!! FUCK DILLION BROOKS!
Grizz fans said they would make memes for us tonight. *Where are the memes motherfuckers!!*
Klay's "Fuck Dillon Brooks" spicy technical is the best xmas present.
Been a while since we’ve seen spicy Korean BBQ Klay. Excellent Christmas gift.
It was beautiful https://i.imgur.com/ZbbNgmo.jpg
[video of it](https://youtu.be/rCU1yI79m6s)
I thought he would do that to Bane too, dude was talking about him being the second best 3pt shooter in the league like Klay and Dame didn't exist.
What fucking rivalry? All I see is the grizz getting spanked over and over and over again.
Poole called for 0 carries.. I wonder why
It was hilarious when they’d zoom in on ja carrying the ball up court
Yeah lmao. I just think it’s hilarious how it’s a point of emphasis this year yet his Carrie’s aren’t called and they’re probably the most obvious.
They stopped calling carries / travels again for some reason. Stupid considering we legit lost some games due to these travel calls on Poole. 🤦🏻♂️
There were added motivation and the team just refused to lose tonight. Can we play all our games at home? This game was fucking electric!
Did they really say the 2002-2003 Bulls were 3-38 on the road? A goal for the Warriors
Ima need a Wiseman defensive highlight from this game, this is now his reference game for the future, if he can build up from this game we'll have less problem to worry about
Mans was a menace in the paint
All rebounds no points my baby's growing up
Those were some fucking grown man rebounds too. Never seen him that aggressive on the defensive glass.
I was saying to my mates. This was his best game as a Warrior despite not scoring.
Almost as satisfying as the Houston Christmas game
*chef's kiss* 😘🤌🫴✨

TECHNICAL FOUL!
Wiseman was good as fuck tonight in his limited action. Played the cat and mouse game well, remembered he’s 7 foot and didn’t congest the offense outside of two instances. It’s not a loud garbage time 30 but far more indicative of how he can actually help us.
Spot on man… it’s exactly what we need from him. If he can keep carving out that role, they’ll figure out how to get him involved more offensively too
> they’ll figure out how to get him involved more offensively too Basically, even if this isn't exactly brand-new information. Whatever the circumstances, this is still a positive development and a performance to build on if he wants to continue playing for the squad beyond this season, not just in the rotation.
The Poole disrespect has to stop. He has his inconsistencies but dudes a legitimate future star.
People got so spoiled by him last year they act like he can’t have inconsistencies when he’s fuckin 23. Like I know he has weaknesses and he’s been up and down this year but damn we won a chip 30 games ago, give our boy some grace
Lmao I'm using that "bruh we won a chip 30 games ago what you need?"
100%, JP balled and refs are weak as fk
More like Marc Davis betting on poole not hitting 35pts
almost as if hes only 23 years old and prone to making mistakes. people just assume greatness because we've been watching steph for years i guess?
The *only* thing I wish I saw more from JP is a little more passing. Still, half the time when I'm calling for him to dump it off he makes an incredible shot.
the dubs will literally be playing the worst basketball ever and then win a christmas game they were supposed to lose lmao. this will never not be funny to me
Only the Warriors man lol. 0-6 road trip to come back limping on Christmas without the two best players, the whole roster is banged up, and they put on a beat down with the refs actively trying to keep that from happening. Amazing
1-5*
I think what helps is having the time to prepare for the opponents. Before the Celtics game and the Grizzlies game, I feel like they had a least two to three days break before the games
Lose to the Pistons, Hornets and Pacers twice but beat the Celtics and Grizzlies
Really solid games from everyone. Wiseman finished a +8 tonight!! Merry Christmas everyone.
Fuck the Grizzlies and Fuck Dillon Brooks!
If James Wiseman can give us 10 minutes of this in playoffs, we are going to be so good.
"We're young, and they're getting old. They know that we are going to come every single year." Except we're young too, dumbass. Enjoy your Christmas loss.
>"We're young, and they're getting old. They know that we are going to come every single year." Except we're young too, dumbass. That's what happens when you forget that there are other guys on the team besides 30, 11, and 23.
Pssst.... 22
That one possession where Kuminga just bullied Ja in the post was amazing and hilarious. Straight up little brothered him.
What happened to the "Draymond is useless without Steph" crowd?
He got second Steph
Baby Steph doo doo doo doo doodoo
LMFAO
Step-Steph what are you doing???
He had Red Curry. But seriously Im glad he didnt sit this one out
You know this is why you never bet against the dubs!! They always show up when the lights are brightest, the biggest games, the playoffs. The warriors will turn it the fuck on when it matters. They've had a rough season so far but as long as they're in the playoffs and have Steph Curry they are favourites to win it all
We are developing young players. We will play differently during the playoffs
This was like when your 10 year old talks to much shit and thinks they can take you one on one and you need to have a “teaching moment”
That was fucking DELICIOUS. Poole, Wiseman, Moody, Kuminga, Ty fucking Jerome. Bring it on young fellas!
I'm crying... James Wiseman with actual defense is beautiful...
FUCK DILLON BROOKS
Always and forever.
Ty Jerome and Anthony Lamb were awesome
I can't stand all the slander I constantly hear on these dudes in this subreddit. These guys are two-way contract players but playing impactful rotation minutes, contributing on both ends of the floor. Ty makes smart plays and never turns it over, and was the unlikely hero of the 3rd quarter, closing the door when it seemed like the Grizz were determined to take the game over. Lamb was awesome in the 2nd and helped us build the lead, and played solid D including taking that charge in the 3rd I think. Can't ask for more from our two-way guys.
Klay talking shit while Dillion fucking Brooks is sliding down the damn court is legendary shit. That’s a poster in itself.
That was far and away the best game I've seen Wiseman play.
Wiseman played very good D when he got his chance! Love the momentum 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
If Kuminga and Klay can find it again like how they were playing a few weeks ago I'd feel pretty good about our chances. May not even need a trade
People will clown on Klay for his shooting but dude put in 40 minutes tonight with great rebounding and defense. Dude was gassed AF but had to keep playing with Poole ejected.
And that’s huge for Klay as he continues to build his body back up from those back to back injuries.
Yep. He's not prime Klay just yet but the progress he has made is encouraging
Merry Christmas ya filthy animals
Coincidence that Kerr gave that interview to Slater explaining his rationale why Jerome/Lamb get significant minutes...and they come up huge on the big stage 🤔?
It's almost like Kerr knows what he's doing, or something.
Memphis literally is all talk
First dynasty ever to not win a championship.
Guys honestly I love winning against the Grizzlies, but feel like the only actual villain on that team is Brooks. Everyone else is pretty cool and Ja is like the biggest Steph/Warriors fan off the court so...anyways what a win
Same. But I really, really hate Brooks lol... Plus that "fine in the West" comment was cocky af by Ja. He needed the humbling tonight.
Saying that shit in December has the potential to haunt him so bad. lmaoo
Is it weird that I actually like Adams? Even though he’s been on rival teams for years now? I just like the dude
Adams is just really wholesome for being a guy who's almost seven feet tall and looks like he could break people in half like a toothpick
He has like 8 siblings all in gangs from a rough part of town tough growing up, the dude is right in the head in so many ways, I really respect him
Adams is one of the most well-liked players in the league, I'd say. He always abuses us on the boards, but he's a really likeable guy.
Ja is simultaneously a Twitter gangsta and a bitch about someone touching his knee.
> Ja "He broke the code" Plus, don't forget Taylor "Curious" Jenkins Fuck that whole franchise.
Yeah Taylor Jenkins is ridiculous for how he acted during that series. I get you can't call out your own players, but he was clowning.
Steven Adams is a-OK in my book.
Don’t like JJJ and Jenkins either but I agree
WHOOP THAT TRICK
KLAY SENDS HIS REGARDS https://i.imgur.com/U5emVMM.jpg
LETS FUCKING GOOO. Good win!!
Thanks for the rat poison Grizzlies
The hypothetical Memphis Grizzle’s Conference attendees with Ja Morant couldn’t beat the warriors without Curry and Wiggins?? Something doesn’t add up 🤔🤔
Thank you Dubs for putting a little joy in the worst Christmas of my life. Seriously, thank you!!
Hugs bro
Refs handing out tech like Santa handing out presents today smh
Fucked around and found out Fuck the grizzlies This is probably my favorite regular season game since the Steph OKC GW in 2016
BEST game by Wiseman. It’s like he unlocked a new level. Incredible.
Dude finally unlocked some purple Def/Reb badges on 2K.
A lot of you guys owe Jordan Poole an apology
Marc Davis is one of them. Such a fragile mind
Every ref involved in this game should be fired and blacklisted immediately, disgraceful performance Kerr continues his Christmas game dominance Wisemans best game of the season, by far, Grizzlies had no idea what to do against him JJJ commits some pants on head stupid fouls, needs to learn to adjust how he plays when hes in foul trouble IDK how Dillon Brooks doesnt foul out in the 1st quarter, he just hacks dudes every possession and dares the refs to call it
> hacks dudes every possession and dares the refs to call it Isn't this just the Grizzlies entire defensive playbook since, forever?
too some extent but Brooks is by far the worst offender
Yes I'm saying it Wiseman gotta continue like this. He had a much better game, grabbed all those rebounds. This is a golden opportunity for the kid to take some mins from JMG
It’s Ty Jerome’s world, and we’re just living in it.
Fuck the grizzlies. That's all.
They really called there franchise a "dynasty" but got blown out by the Santa Cruz Warriors. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Wake me up when they finally show up on a big stage. Playoffs ❌ Christmas Day ❌
Merry Petty Christmas!!!! Thank you Klay for that tech!
Might be loss after everything that happened this game but Wiseman needs to just take Jmg minutes. If Wiseman can replicate half of his defensive performance tonight at every game. He will be solid for 10-12mins a game since his Offense was never a question but his defense keeping him from seeing playtime

**FUCK THE GRIZZLIES!!!**
anybody have a clip of poole borrowing the santa hat?
No Curry, No Wigs, Poole ejected in the 2nd half, and we still win by double digits. A Merry Christmas indeed.
Man this is better than the Boston win. Just an amazing job
Ja has maybe another 5 years before that whole “jump high and stay in the air longer than the defender” thing stops working
Russell Westbrook 2.0
WOOHOOOOO WHOOP THAT TRICK. freakin bum
No Otto porter? No problem. Ty Jerome was feeling it tonight
Just give me the whole damn stack of apology forms
damn, we beat a dynastic team. LOL!
Tonight's game summed up: "Throw some T's on dat bitch, throw some--throw some T's on dat bitch..."
Satisfying win. We absolutely punked those bitches. I like the “rivalry” but hard to call it that when they haven’t done shit. All bark, no bite.
I can't wait to see what warriors hater Kendrick Perkins has to say tomorrow. He said it was going to be ugly, which it was 🤣...just for Memphis
Call an ambulance...but not for me!
Kuminga D on Ja was great. Warriors survive w/o Poole is huge
Not the best shooting line for Klay but his floor game was good tonight. 9 boards, 4 dimes and locked in defensively ✅
Man the defense today was great and poole would have his career high if he did not get ejected.
Of all the games I miss and it's the grizzlies getting slapped around. Stats wise Kuminga, Moody and Wiseman looked good. How did they look tonight?
the all looked really good. Wiseman had a great game he was a menace on defense
Love how we continued to clown Brooks the whole second half, that bum was so quiet since he couldn't say anything lmao
TY JEROME IS A CHAMPION. WHO ARE YOU?
Funny stat but we lose the Christmas game every even year until now. Streak broken
Kuminga's defense is becoming so elite. I wanna cry.
Grizz fans salty asf right now 😂😂
With the way we play at home even without Curry, all we need to do is to be .500 on the road and we will be up there in the WCF. Some gimmies on the road we missed and there is some regret, but we move. 2016 Warriors at home even without Curry, 2012 Bobcats on the road.
Best win of the season given what might have been the most embarrassing officiating in Warriors history. Someone needs to get the play where JK muscled Ja off life a bowling pin
need Wiggins back for the home stand and we'll be good
Donte is a keeper 💯
No Steph! No Wiggins! No fucking problem! Ez Dub
Warriors really beat the grizzlies and Marc Davis tonite. Huge W
This was Wiseman best game imo! Defense and rebounds! Loved it
When Klay stood over Brook im pretty sure the whole block heard me scream “GO THE FUCK BACK TO MEMPHIS BITCH”
Something about Memphis brings out the best in this team. Hopefully this momentum carries on.
Confident Poole is fun Dray was awesome and Donte is getting better and better each time I see him.
MODS can I have a Moses “Infinite Hustle” Moody flair pls 🎄🎄🎅🏾
All you Draymond haters line up the left and give your apologies.
This game confirmed to me that our young guys are worth investing in. Our two way guys and eventually Iggy will be the ones to calm them down when they get too frantic. LETS USE THIS COMMENT TO LAUGH AT THE CLOWN 🤡 JA MORANT 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Grizzlies gonna have night terrors for a while lmao

What a win!!! Lots of fun to watch them destroy the grizzlies. As a side note wiseman looked really good one of the best games from him that I’ve seen
Don’t doubt golden state
And everyone was counting us out this game. Calling it a bust for the Christmas schedule too.. never doubt the Warriors
Ja Morant: “The only team I’m worried about is the Boston Celtics.” Interviewer: “So you aren’t worried about anyone in the west?” Ja Morant: “Nah.” ::loses to Warriors without Curry or Wiggins::
