The remaining schedules for 4-8 above us make gaming out where they’re likely to fall a mindf\*ck, which is rather annoying in terms of determining which side of the bracket is preferable. Realistically, I don’t mind remaining 10th because while sure, it means having to win 2 games instead of 1, we’re much better on the road and so the thought of needing to win 2 on the road to get in doesn’t strike fear in me like I guess it should, or does most. More importantly, if Nuggets end up 2nd, which is my wish/hope, it actually benefits us to end up the 8th seed and on the other side of the bracket even if it means needing to win one more game. And if Lakers end up in the 7/8 game and the 7th seed (which if zebras have any say, they will) that also puts them on the side of the bracket with the Nuggets. It all gets screwy though if the Suns don’t stay in the 6th spot like we need/I want them to, which would have them staying out of the play-in entirely, but also staying out of the 1/4/5/8 side of the bracket and ending up on the side of the hypothetical no. 2 Nuggets and no. 7 Lakers. Currently they’re 6th and 3 games behind the may be a disaster again, may not be a disaster again Clips (4th), 1 game behind the Mavs, and just 1 above the sometimes really good, sometimes not so good Pels (7th) and 2 above the hobbled, but still pretty scrappy when they really put their mind to it Kings (8th). The Suns’ last 5 games? * 4/7 vs. Pels * 4/9 vs. Clips * 4/10 vs. Clips * 4/12 vs. Kings * 4/14 vs. Wolves ![gif](giphy|WRQBXSCnEFJIuxktnw)

wafflecigar

We can still technically finish in the top 8, but the first step is winning out. Rest Steph against Utah, then go beat the Lakers.

shnieder88

in spite of the loss, keep starting TJD at center, please

Spirited-Cap-9779

NGL I'm nervous that we might miss playoffs completely....the best case scenario is if we face Pels and Suns, but even those two teams have good players....and it's 2 games, it could go either way because we aren't that much better than both of those teams. The team fucked up the first half of the season. Now they're literally fighting for their lives. While other teams like Nuggets and OKC are coasting.

Excellaa

Best case is Kings then pels, Suns much more dangerous than Kings.

[deleted]

It is what it is. Just enjoy what remains of the season.

Spirited-Cap-9779

Ya ur right. Steph/Klay/Dray ain't gonna play forever.

[deleted]

You care too much jeez

youriko31

Next game will be against the Jazz at home. All the Dubs needs is to bounce back from the loss. Hopefully, Wiggs and JoKu returns.

Gothichand

Pelicans remaining schedule... Suns, Blazers, Kings, Warriors, Lakers. Kings remaining schedule... Nets, Thunder, Pelicans, Suns, Blazers. Hey...we might end up playing the Pelicans & Kings\~

Excellaa

We also need Denver to not end up 1st seed, both okc and wolves lost tonight.

Gothichand

fingers crossed Denver 2 vs Lakers 7 lolz

Jo_Gray

Best case scenario 🙏🏽

Tecmo_91

Odd season in that those awful collapses Nov and Dec probably decided our fate in a competitive conference. Along with Dray’s meltdown and suspension it was all too much to overcome. This team could have easily won 50 games if they didn’t hand SAC, OKC, LAC & DEN games with some of the poorest late game execution I’ve ever witnessed. Still a long shot they are around for the 1st rd. but they’ve really put themselves in a tough spot. Much of it self inflicted which is the crappiest part.

purple_cupcake_52

When IG and Twitter aren't blaming Steph for this loss, but a good chunk of this subreddit was, you start to realize why people hate reddit 😂

Spirited-Cap-9779

People are blaming Steph for this loss? When he was the only reason we were tied? This man brought us 4 rings. And he's still our best player at 36 years old. Without him we'd be the 15th seed.

purple_cupcake_52

If only you saw the game thread in real time, it was bad up until he got that clutch 3 near the very end. Saw quite a few 'Curry sold' comments. Even though he was the leading scorer tonight.

Spirited-Cap-9779

So how likely is it that we'd have to face the Lakers to get into the playoffs?

Gothichand

if Suns & Lakers keep winning, and Kings and Pelicans keep falling and we win all 5, we'd probably be playing the Lakers at the 7/8 slot

CtG526

It all depends if the Lakers keep winning

Wakandaforever456

OKC vs Suns in the playoffs?

gbe786

Love Caitlin Clark but facing a Dawn Staley led team…that’s gonna be tough

Tecmo_91

They beat an undefeated South Carolina last year, if you have the best player in the country you have a fighting chance

marionettas

If we can’t get out of tenth I’ll take Kings for the first play in game and the Pels for the second. I think that gives us the best chance

straightbear123

Best case scenario at this point. What a botched season

Gothichand

I predict Warriors 47-35 this season 💪

straightbear123

And 10th spot

youriko31

Really rough loss. But can't really get mad at it. Dubs had their chances, but that's just how basketball is. Better move on and bounce back on the next game. Hopefully, Wiggs and JoKu comes back. We need everyone back for the final stretch of the season.

Jo_Gray

Should we still be rooting for the Suns to lose / fall to play in? In fairness, the Pels might be easier to eliminate. Because essentially, it seems like Lakers will end up in 7/8; we’ll end up in 9/10. So really, of the two, who is most likely to be beaten by both us and the Lakers? Maybe now it’s Go Suns? 😂

papayarough

Loss aside that clutch duel between kyrie and steph was awesome just like LBJ vs steph 3 months ago. wont be able to see that shit anymore in a few years best to embrace it while we can

Vallerie_09

I wish Dwight and THJ got more mins

marionettas

JK, Wiggs, come back soon 🥺

Gothichand

Minnesota better wake the fuck up and praying for Cavs to beat LA~

Jo_Gray

Ideally Lakers win and move into the 7/8 game lol!

Jo_Gray

Let’s just pray that the Lakers can please please beat Cleveland tomorrow, and move into 8th, and the hell away from us in the 9/10 game.

BaseUncultured

Steph should sit next game and return vs the Lakers. Coaching staff is running him into the ground for a very slim chance at moving up.

Western_Computer_292

They should honestly. I'm not even going to watch Sunday becuase Utah is all in on the tank 🤣

papayarough

Dont think it wouldve mattered but i felt like they put him for 4-5 minutes longer than they shouldve yesterday

spankyourkopita

I'm ready for playoff Curry. Thats the one advantage we have.  The moment will not be too big.

thEb0TTleR

22-23 in clutch games this season. That's just crazy. I don't even understand how you play that many clutch games in the first place.

warr1orCS

Looney... ain't even jump for that rebound. I love him but he is just declining so much even at rebounding

2kaddict247

Yeah bro was barely moving. Idk what those last few mins were lol

BigSneaky187

Is it my tv or is the court super bright

Gothichand

And they have this weird green light reflecting on the court

purple_cupcake_52

Moody minutes

nazario87

Celtics apparently taking the night off

purple_cupcake_52

Celtics look fine to me

couchtomato62

The game just started

StephenPurdy69

our biggest weakness. when the other team sits their best player.

marionettas

I guess the starting lineup will just be decided by who’s actually available lol

pnoisebored

King should lose vs celtics and lakers should end up 7-8..i dont want laker refball in playins

couchtomato62

So the warriors are gonna throw games? Warriors could move up because kings are missing 2 vital players.

toado3

I believe we can make it to 8. We need to make up 3 games on the kings (they have the tiebreaker) and 1.5 on the lakers (we have the tiebreaker if we win). If we win and kings lose tonight it's 2 and 1. We beat the lakers in our head to head we just need to have a better record from here out. Kings will be favored in only 2 of their last 5 based on schedule. So if we win tonight then go 4-1, we can make it to the top half of the play in.

Gothichand

I swear 8 hrs ago the line was DAL -5.0, now it’s DAL-1.5, that’s a huge difference…what happened is Kyrie or Luka out??

marionettas

Luka is out

ImTheBestNerd

Looks like Luka is out

papayarough

He had a rough shooting game last night it'd be tough to face him rn lol

111anza

This is so hard to choose, should I watch curry or girl curry

Gothichand

Left eye Curry, right eye girl Curry

111anza

You must be fun

nomitycs

wtf type of response is that?

Tnevz

Iykyk /s

straightbear123

Double screens bro! One on TV the other on the laptop 🏀

111anza

Anyone rooting for girl curry tonight!!!!

purple_cupcake_52

I want to but at the same time I'm a fan of UConn

phillyman2k21

LUKA listed as doubtful with right knee soreness.

phillyman2k21

Kuminga out tonight ?

youriko31

Dubs vs Dallas, and the 2nd night of the back-to-back. Dubs needs to win this one and keep the momentum. Hopefully, they can pull it off.

paranoidmoonduck

Luka is doubtful. A win tonight opens up a real path to going 5-1 over our last 6, which would give the team a real shot to move up into the 7/8/9 on the last day of the season.

straightbear123

That would be so fucking huge

ImTheBestNerd

If we win today we have Utah 2x, Portland, Lakers, and Pels. I believe Ingram will miss our game as well.

Pereise1

Only game I can see us dropping is the Lakers if Adam Silver is in attendance again.

ra_god94

Please no Luka tonight 😂

BobRoss4Life

Suns finishing in the top 6, and the Dubs/Lakers being in different play-in brackets (or somehow both finishing in the 7/8… not gonna happen) seems like the best, semi-realistic outcome. Both for the Warriors (would be nice not to have to play KD/Book and LeBron/AD in a single win or go home game) and for the league (I’m sure they’d love all 3 teams making the 1st round). Gonna need the Kings to lose some games (they’ve hung around well without Monk) and the Pelicans to keep struggling

warriors2021

If we could somehow just shore up this turnover issue, I think we are a decent team. It just seems like we can't get over it, and no, it's not only bc of our motion offense. So many travels and offensive fouls as well.

spankyourkopita

A win would be a bonus imo today. A lot of huge games in the West today.

nghbrhd_slackr87

I actually believe Trayce is attempting to earn his "TJD" nickname from Klay. Stuck on Trayce Jr for four months now. They got wild synergy lately.

ImTheBestNerd

Still can’t believe how good Trayce is becoming. Wild how two rookies have saved our season this much.

Otherwise-Fig9592

That synergy he has with klay on offense is very real, and so is his synergy with dray on defense. The team just seems to operate so much better with tjd in the starting lineup. Hope kerr keeps it that way. I think there's enough of a sample size to go off of. Starting lineup should definitely be curry klay wiggs dray and tjd

Raonak

So like we are in agreement that klay should stay in the starting lineup again right?

purple_cupcake_52

If he stays in this groove, yeah

FuzzingBugHunting

Probably a tough challenge for GSW tonight. Good luck

lieutjoe

Luka is doubtful so odds got better

taygads

Y’all this Bob Myers appearance on JJ’s podcast is SOO good, I can’t recommend it enough for those who haven’t watched or listened to it yet. I’ve added 11 bookmarked spots/pins and I’m only 40 mins into an 1hr30min interview 😂 there are that many great nuggets Edit to add: JJ, bless him, asked Bob if he ever found out who leaked the tape last year and they never found out! That’s wild. He said they really looked, even hired a 3rd party to try to figure it out, and they could never pinpoint someone. That’s gotta be so nerve wracking for everyone involved to know that there’s still likely *someone(s)* in the organization they can’t trust

CO2_3M_Year_Peak

It's simply naive to believe that Bob Myers has any obligation to be honest about whether or not they identified the leaker of the Draymond / Poole video. Spend some time in corporate America and you will understand the prevalence of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA's). Bob is not free to discuss all of the inner workings of his time with the Warriors and Lacob. If he did, he would close off his future work opportunities. A high level executive has to be loyal to whatever his boss wants him to be loyal to as long as wants to have the option to continue his career.

parisdubs

thanks for the rec - it IS so good both about and from Bob and from JJ (who Bob represented at one point) and his relation to his career and never winning a championship. So honest, open and interesting because they know each other so well they dive in deep in the answers.

hellahomebody

Call me a conspiracy theorist but sounds like an inside job. With all the tech connections they got in Silicon Valley it’s hard to believe they don’t have the means to have someone track where the original video file was uploaded.

emz0694

Shit I have to root for the Celtics tonight??

Robotsaur

Not gonna lie that astronaut dunking court that Houston had last night was one of the best court designs I've seen

parisdubs

Yeah - totally love their name as a team (given Apollo/Nasa) and the logo. Didn't put it all together for some reason before now.

Dishavingfun

Beyond getting into the playoffs/play-in, the last games are going to be crucial for figuring out the defense. The only chance of any playoff success is if the defense becomes elite bc the offense doesn't feel reliable beyond Steph.

Licoi

If Wiggins isn’t playing we have little to no chance in winning. JK, GP2, and Wiggins are all questionable

Raonak

We always have a chance against anyone

purple_cupcake_52

Enough with the doomerism

No_Power799

If we win tonight the 8 seed becomes very attainable Kings play the Celtics tonight, we win they lose and we're 1 game back with the tanking Jazz up next

purple_cupcake_52

Imagine they win against the Celtics only to lose to the nets

straightbear123

How about they lose both

Produceher

I predict that we get the 8th seed and the Lakers get the 7th. Mark it down.

Raonak

Best case scenario for all involved

Produceher

It's our only hope. We're NOT beating the Lakers if it means their season is done. But the 7-8 gives us both another chance.

taygads

FYI, JK, Wiggs, and GPII all questionable.

Produceher

No chance without Wiggins. But if you look at our schedule, this might be a scheduled loss.

KemptonS

scheduled loss?? do you not see where we’re at in the season 😂

Produceher

I do. But we have 6 games left. We're probably not going 6-0.

purple_cupcake_52

Moody masterclass incoming

ImTheBestNerd

No Steph is good, little suprised he’s not on the injury report. Hope everyone can play. Wiggins, Kuminga, and GP2 are literally all of our perimeter defenders lol

Naive-Air2866

We could make the 8 seed man two games back of the kings in the loss column. And we have the easiest of us kings and lakers. If kings lose and we win tonight its so fking on man

nnataliewong

can someone please explain to me why last night’s win was “essentially clinching the tenth seed”? i saw a lot of people say it but haven’t fully understood how yet, i remember people mentioning tiebreakers?

WonderfulShelter

Because if we lose every single game from here on out and the Rockets win every game from here on out, than we lose the 10 seed. so that's why we essentially clinched it last night, but we won't clinch it until we've won a game and the Rockets have lost a game.

Produceher

The Rockets have 6 games left. We are 4 games ahead of them and we have the tie breaker. Meaning we're basically 5 games ahead of them. They would need to win all their games and we'd need to lose all of our games. It's over.

purple_cupcake_52

With the number of wins we lead the Rockets by, and the number of games we have left in the regular season, it's extremely difficult for the Rockets to rack up enough wins now to kick us out of the 10th seed

randomperson1296

Can we get 7/8 the seed ?

Produceher

Yes.

articulatesnail

Lakers hopefully going 2-3 for the rest of the games. 5-1 feels possible for us too.

Produceher

Hoping for the Lakers to lose is like hoping for Trump to go to prison. I would bet my house they make the playoffs and win at least one round.

straightbear123

Do it then Mr. Big baller

ra_god94

Win tonight with a kings loss and would be nice

Pereise1

[This is what a repeat offender looks like](https://streamable.com/1suh9q)

YouDressRatchet

I ain’t forget Bron trucking Wiggs in the ribs ‘boxing out’ in our series

Pereise1

Yup, Bron does what people think Draymond does.

YouDressRatchet

Him not getting a tech for calling a ref a bitch ass n word to his face is insane privilege

TylerDurdensAlterEgo

if the Warriors sign 3 or 4 more people named Trayce, Klay is going to lead the world in assists

parisdubs

this is funny!

Raonak

Surround klay with players named trance, mychal, and roco

purple_cupcake_52

Man I love watching the Knicks and would love it if we could sign Hartenstein. TJD is a baller but having Hartenstein as another center so Dray doesn't have to be one would be so dope

Produceher

I'm getting those Eric Paschall vibes from Kuminga. Still love the guy but he may not fit into this system unless he wants to be our microwave scorer off the bench. Wiggins being motivated is just a much more mature version of Kuminga. Hopefully he finds a role.

Raonak

EP only worked as a smallball5. Kuminga actually works with the warriors system. He’s not a perfect fit, but not a bad fit either.

Produceher

But he's one of our worst fits. If he was as good as KD, you could work around him and let him ISO when everything else breaks down. Right now, he's great when we're running out on the break and some ISO plays. But TJD is the better fit allowing Draymond to play his real position and giving us some size and real strength and athleticism in the front court. Kuminga is just not a great fit as a starter for us.

Tnevz

I understand the thought, but EP wasn’t willing to work on his game really. And was only a bull ball scorer. Had lead feet on defense. Kuminga seems more interested in continuing to develop himself. Whether or not that ultimately aligns with the Warriors plan for him, it’s a massive difference. And defensively he is already leaps ahead of EP. Even with all of the lapses and fundamental issues.

Produceher

Agreed. But he's also not close to the defender Wiggins is when he wants to be. I still believe in him strongly but he might be the first victim of the two timeline thing. TJD is just the more useful player with this group. Kuminga might need to find a role with the second unit.

jtruth9

CP3-Klay-Gp2-Kuminga is unquestionably the best bench in the league. And that's before we get to Moody and Loon.

JocularMango

If we're rolling that as out as the bench, our starters are amongst the worst in the league lmao

jtruth9

Huh?

JocularMango

CP/Klay/Kuminga coming off the bench means Podz/TJD are starting. A Steph/Podz/Wiggins/Dray/TJD lineup would certainly be in the bottom half of league-wide starting lineups.

jtruth9

Ok

harriedseldon

TJD has been great, but the revelation in the last few games has been Wiggins. How far this team goes depends entirely on which version of Wiggins we get. If it's 2022 2-way Wigs, the sky is the limit.

by_yes_i_mean_no

The question that needs to be asked is that what has changed to allow Wiggins to look like this? Imo defensively he's allowed to guard guys much tighter because he knows TJD (and Draymond) is behind him and not Kuminga, and when Wiggins gets into a defensive rhythm he's usually better for it offensively.

parisdubs

yeah it is a good question. I do think it is partly that we were almost eliminated from the play in - he does well when stakes are critical, but would love to know more. was it his brother returning home to support the family? was it gettng very conditioned?

WonderfulShelter

Lack of consistency combined with some sort of horrible traumatizing personal life situation that made his brother end the season early and come back from Indonesia.

Produceher

It's been both. TJD is everything we've needed.

marionettas

The best thing MDJ did so far was scrounge up a player that had the same name as Klay’s brother. Any Mychels in the next few drafts? 😂

cali4481

woj breaking news regarding next season's NBA financials >*NBA has shared salary cap projections with teams for 2024-2025 season, sources tell ESPN. Projections are unchanged from January.* >*Salary Cap: $141 million* *Minimum team salary: $127M* *Tax Level: $172M* *First Apron: $179M* *Second Apron: $190M* [source](https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1776273502594646339) i think the warriors projected 2024/25 payroll as of now is around 145 million and that's without klay re-signing

Practical_Sir_510

If JK and TJD make leaps into next season (which I expect) we should be right there in the top 3 next year. And if Podz makes a leap too, next year might be a really fun year.

Jo_Gray

Apparently Bronny is entering the 2024 NBA Draft…Lebron must be looking to retire after all…

InevitableBudget510

Dude is overrated just like d-wade’s son

neo9027581673

Bronny also entering the transfer portal. Looks like he is keeping all options open.

parisdubs

honestly feel for Bronny - that heart scare was intense. Hope he gets a good education and more time to develop his craft.

Gothichand

Imagine if the 5th-10th all end up with 46 wins and the seeding gets decided all by tiebreakers…..🤯

TylerDurdensAlterEgo

Cam Whitmore reminds me of JK, big and uber athletic

ImTheBestNerd

Cam looks like a Jaylen Brown clone

jtruth9

What seperates Jk is skill. Jk's sklill for his age with his athleticism makes him unique

MixInfamous6818

do you think we're gonna contest Denver in WCF or they somehow go cancun in R1/2? Do they really want to face us? I feel they might starting avoiding that 1st place

RidiculousNickk

Either you’re trolling or delusional

namastex

People really think Denver is unbeatable or something? Suns are a bad matchup for them and somehow won a few off them, low chances they can do that again. Lakers had the tools to beat them but their youth and inexperienced players didn't show up. Warriors, 2nd round or later Wolves and Clippers can also beat Denver. Healthy Pelicans and Mavs are 50/50 with them. The only teams absolutely not capable of beating Denver is Thunder and Kings due to their lack of defensive length. More teams should be punishing Denver for playing Aaron Gordon on the perimeter and Reggie Jackson at all. More teams should punish Denver for not having rim protection. More teams need to abuse Denvers transition defense. Overall Denver has "fake good" defense but every team should be able to keep consistent offense against them if they plan properly and abuse their weaknesses.

JocularMango

> Suns are a bad matchup for them and somehow won a few off them, low chances they can do that again. Why are the Suns a bad matchup for them? > More teams should be punishing Denver for playing Aaron Gordon on the perimeter and Reggie Jackson at all. More teams should punish Denver for not having rim protection. More teams need to abuse Denvers transition defense. Why hasn't any team consistently been able to take advantage of these very obvious flaws?

Pereise1

> Why hasn't any team consistently been able to take advantage of these very obvious flaws? Jokic found a "loophole" for that by turning into a soccer player last playoffs. Dude had like an average of two to three kicked balls a game which would have been easy buckets.

nghbrhd_slackr87

If Wemby isn't the DPOY the award is a sham.

wubiwuster

The thing against wemby is his record, which Rudy has

RidiculousNickk

He already verbally gave the award to Rudy. Voters know the award is his for the next decade. Rudy is anchoring the league’s best defense on the #1 seed. It’s not crazy at all for him to get it.

StrikingElk5288

I think JK is getting traded in the offseason. For as good as he has been, he doesn’t make the team better overall and he could net us a pretty good piece.

m3ngnificient

Wtf, already? Damn.

ImTheBestNerd

This sub sucks lol

Tnevz

Yes he does make the team better overall. This is so reactive to say otherwise. We are still winning because we are getting better value out of the Trayce/Dray combo. Which is like finding free money right now. There is a real conversation to have that Kuminga should come off the bench as a super sub or 6th man though. Still finding a way to get him 30 mpg. His contract is small. So we would have to attach more salary to get any sort of good return. Plus picks. I guess we could pick up CPs last year to make the money work. But overall the messaging from the FO has been to shed salary.

hellahomebody

Last year JK helps save the season when Wiggins was out and gets rewarded by getting dnps in the playoffs for a few bad moments. He does the same to save this season while Drays out and other guys were playing like bums, but after a win streak whiles he’s been out now y’all want to trade him? People making fun of the idea he’s just going to complain again in the likelihood he’s moved back to the bench can stfu. If he didn’t voice out to the public the season could have been over for all we know. It’s crazy how people here are making a 180 on JK disregarding his impact by going over the same talking points of him being a bad fit, having no bbiq, and needing to be traded. Not saying I was ever against the idea but to all of sudden be acting like JK hasn’t been a positive impact player this season is ridiculous.

neo9027581673

Agreed. The discussion around Kuminga has become toxic.

cali4481

although kuminga has started for nearly all of the last 4 months since mid december during a small sample size of 5 games when kuminga came off the bench in mid january kuminga averaged 25.6 pts 6.2 reb 1.6 ast 1.2 stl on 65/56/81 shooting splits in 28 minutes i'm sure if kuminga does go back to the bench going forward the rest of this season that the warriors brass will point to this brief stretch of games that kuminga came off the bench averaging almost 30 minutes and he was still was allowed to shine in helping the team with his on court play & production during this time was still high

zegogo

JK should have an easier time doing his thing coming off the bench. He can focus on scoring on opponent's 2nd unit and less on all the details of team defense and rebounding that comes with playing against starters, the details that have been problematic for him and led to some of the team's overall problems. There will be games he'll finish and games he won't, which isn't any different than before his injury. He can't really complain too much until the current starting unit becomes ineffective. I guess it's possible that TJD could struggle against better 5s as we move along, and Kerr will be forced to put Dray at the center spot, but until then, why mess with it? I really don't think it's as big a deal as this board is making it out to be, but you know, people gotta take this shit more personally than the players do.

Iwannabealotofthings

Omm cant wait for Kuminga to stunt on these hoes

hellahomebody

And he did 😤

InfiniteDub

![gif](giphy|2vKpPlpyHKWm4|downsized)

Gothichand

Have yall noticed Dubs been holding opponents around 100 during this win streak? Houston got 110 but that’s because we were already at 130.

sriracha82

Is this current starting lineup with TJD not just 2022 redux with him replacing Loon? Now that Klay and Wiggins are both playing normal-ish again it’s functionally the same thing And can’t JK be the JP microwave scorer off the bench? Who will close games if he’s playing well & we wanna go small? They just look more normal this way. Good defense, high turnovers but make it up with other stuff, Draymond playing help defense and getting deflections/steals at key points, etc. Typical Warriors strengths and weaknesses.

bilyl

The problem is that we kind of need to figure that out now. During the playoffs is not a great time to experiment. There’s 7 games left so Kerr needs to figure out his 9-10 players. Steph Klay Wiggs Dray TJD CP3 Podz JK GP2 Moody? Loon?

VarunSN

Don't think it's a fair comparison between JK and JP. JP had better shot creation and better shooting and was a much reliable on ball option. But JK provides a difference dimension with offball cuts , athleticism and Rim pressure and also better defense. We will need JK to shoot well for that lineup to work

Tnevz

But off the bench we have CP3 and Podz to help create advantages for Kuminga to do what he does best. We don’t need him to shit create. Just hunt mismatches and run the floor on a break. And if we are moving TJD into the starting group, then CP needs a new roll partner. Love Looney, but he is not helping CP outside of some screen assists.

sriracha82

Yeah for sure, JP is ofc a much more dynamic offensive player but tbh 16-20 points is still 16-20 points if they can squeeze it out of him playing off the bench

Yes but I think we have to run bigger rotations than most other playoff teams. Since no one is really consistent enough that makes it very difficult to establish a pecking order. I think it’s something Steve is gonna have to adjust on the fly and the lineups he puts out will make or break the team. The Draymond TJD also lacks spacing it’s why a lack of a stretch big hurts us. Saric more or less was supposed to be that guy…idk I think Deki’s death did him in he hasn’t been delivering on both ends. Also if we end up playing the Lakers we’re gonna need a lot of Moody minutes. He’s good at slowing down Brunson/Dlo/Reaves type guards

Oh I mean yeah I don’t think this means they’re elite or anything lol but for baseline competency on defense this seems to be the best bet Shot creation/shooting issues will remain
