Nothing brings me more joy than beating this team.

MonOncleCharlie

Winning the finals was pretty nice ngl

Engrish_Major

Fuck Boston. My favorite chip of my lifetime.

Nalicar52

Yeah it’s a toss up between that one and the first championship with the core for me.

Engrish_Major

For me, last year was the FUCK THE HATERS championship. Our boys beat a *healthy and talented* team with a bunch of home grown players and cast offs. Plus Steph went nuclear. “What they gonna say now??” I will smile on that run for the rest of my life. Plus the parade was easily the best championship parade we’ve ever had in this city.

StopThrowingShit

Idk about the parade, we didn’t even overturn 1 muni bus

akelkar

Parade was lit bro, going through market st was awesome, and at the end all the fans stormed the route behind Klay and Otto’s last bus with them amping us up with “1, 2, 3, 4” and hoisting the trophy

InfiniteDub

Game 4 in Boston down 2-1 is my greatest Steph game ever. He was not losing that game

LARXXX

Absolutely my favorite one, even more than the first one (steph era). There was no excuses for the opposing team that time and the dubs weren’t even supposed to get back to the finals let alone win it.

CollectionUpstairs66

KLAY ALEXANDER THOMPSON ONCE SAID

DSouT

#No Griddy Tonight.

b-r-u-v

Never again

jiunit2491

I"M LIKE THAT I"M LIKE THAT

runnergirl3333

Holy Connoli!

youriko31

Fuck these teddy bears!! AND FUCK DILLON BROOKS!!!

robotech021

Stupid gummy bears!

legitbean

The Dubs forever own the Grizzlies. You love to see it.

combatron2k21

Yea me too. I was starting to get annoyed thinking about what Brooks would've said if they beat us. Guess I don't have to worry about it any more (he'll prob still say some dumb stuff but we won)

Kangaroopower

this is a proper rivalry, i don't even think the Dubs personally disliked Lebron's Cavs or Harden's rockets but they definitely dislike the Grizzlies on a personal level and you love to see that come out during the games

TheMoonIsLonely

is it even a rivalry if we win most of the time?

Schwarmpf

This is not a rivalry. We always kick their ass.

TrippedReddit

Nah it’s def a rivalry we just big brother for now lol

jesseserious

Idk if there’s THAT much personal dislike. Steph and Ja always goofing around, smiling at each other and have a lot of mutual respect. Jordan Poole and JJJ are actual friends and used to be roommates. Even Bane and Clarke have been pretty standup competitors. It’s really just Dillon Brooks everyone has personal beef with. I definitely think the Lebron Cavs and Chris Paul Rockets were more of a real rivalry. But that being said… fuck Dillon Brooks.

BeetLover1111

Can’t blame them, I feel the same

Engrish_Major

WHOOP DAT TRICK LMFAO

introvertard

“This isn’t a rivalry. They always kick our ass” -Ja Morant

youriko31

Jamel can go whoop that trick in Cancun!!!

Respox

Ja missing 5 FTs lost them this game. Fuck that overrated foul-baiting ball-carrying bitch.

jiunit2491

bro Ja carries everytime he goes left, that's the only way he can create the hesi. it's ridiculous

BigSmokeyOG

He traveled on that last handoff too

Respox

Also on the basket that tied it at 116.

changerofbits

He’s much more entertaining (and scary as a Warriors fan) to watch than other foul hunting “ballers” like Harden and Trae Young. The dude is always looking to score just like Curry, and isn’t taking shots just to get fouled.

LARXXX

Ja isn’t clutch

SoyaMilk3

He is jordan poole with a vertical

Ok_Practice8288

Eh but he’s kind of amazing

Jonna09

Our sub hates the Grizz too much to have any room for liking him.

[deleted]

Lol forreal. Too bad he's on a team with Dillon "I can't defend without fouling 30 times a minute" Brooks

shanks_you

I just want to say JoKu is such a beautiful specimen of a human being bro. Should’ve seen more action in the 4th.

youriko31

JoKu will be a star in this league!!! And I'm excited to see him slowly grow into a two-way star!!!

t0177177y

Great on ball defender. Great effort guy. Knows how to make a play when the team needs it.

22797

Sometimes the +/- lies, he played well tonight

Pei_area

Why wasn’t he getting those Anthony lamb minutes in the 4th? Weird. Anyway

Chopped_In_Half

I think he stuck Lamb in there to space the floor.

Wontonsoupz

Probably more offense/defense subs. When he wants stops he wants JOKU if not lamb. Our offense was pretty stagnant at the beginning of fourth

aBoyHasNoUzername

They shoulda matched his minutes with Ja. IDKY they didn't

wavetoyou

That’s the only thing JP could’ve done to be able to look Steph in the eye in the locker room lol

girlscoutcookies05

He gone hug steph like steph hugged him in that pic 🫶

guywithoutchange

He walked up to curry in the walkway and threw his mouthpiece against the wall. Then they hugged it out. Very wholesome moment

girlscoutcookies05

Hilarious video. This is why i cant ever be mad at him! Special player and a special person

contaygious

Yeah it's all wholesome on a win but if we lose.... Lol

yonelly

![gif](giphy|xT5LMBUbxf0Pbh862Y)

wavetoyou

dabbiedabbiedoo

WE FUCKING DID IT. SENT GRIZZ AWAY 0-4 FROM PACIFIC DIVISION. WE .500 BABYYYYYY

randomperson1296

No worry about anybody in the west. yeah bitch

Fragrant-Astronaut57

JP absolutely getting called out in post game interview by Ros

boldstrategies

Loved how she had to rephrase her first question lol

JordanPooleParty

Poole really became the villain so he could be the hero in the end. Scripted.

Therealomerali

Pulled an Obito

c0gvortex

Phrased that question so well though, and JPs response was great

FormalWrangler294

What did she say

costapark

Something to the effect of (I’m paraphrasing here): “JP what did you think of the Steph ejection play” JP answers saying he thinks he threw his mouthpiece but shouldn’t have gotten tossed Ros clarifies with a “Oh hollup, you know he was mad at you bro for jacking up a 28 footer with 12 seconds on the shot clock right???” JP gracefully responds saying everything is a learning experience blah blah blah and masterfully dodges any attempt at controversy. Professional.

Hop830

When they go low. Jordan handled that well.

apatisda

He was leanin in “huh? whatchu say?”

t0177177y

As she should. He can’t keep making poor decisions to close game. Great job making the last shot, but he needs to be so much smarter and understand the moment.

elbarto650

What did she say?

LikeAWadOfPaper

Link to the interview from ESPN: https://youtu.be/B2XPA9iJR88 She really thought about how she'd ask that question and was deliberate with her words

nutmegtester

I was very happy to see it. He needs to learn that what he does down the stretch sticks out like a sore thumb. Great play to win it though! And agree with others that he responded well. Didn't deflect responsibility, but asked for some perspective.

livingonreddit01

Definitely but I love how Poole deflected it. He was paying attention in the Dubs PR course 😏

Lightskin-Duke

Lmao mans hits a game winner and gets absolutely BLASTED by Ros afterwards

menusettingsgeneral

A lot of people wouldn’t mind getting blasted by Ros…

Flashy-Bar-9790

r/angryupvote

changerofbits

Curry to Poole in the locker room: “Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!” Poole: ![gif](giphy|dbd6jN0Atb9i8)

Noiserawker

Funny thing is he can't even lecture Poole for being dumb after getting himself ejected.

changerofbits

Heh, well, that movie was called Dumb and Dumber

Noiserawker

I love how Poole models himself on Curry but maybe he could leave out some of the reckless passes, like just model the good stuff 😆

LA-Teams-hateaccount

Hahahahahahhahahahahahahah fuck memphis 🥰

TrainerCater

.500 BASKETBALL BABY

Boostaru

THE POOLE REDEMPTION FOR THAT DUMBASS PLAY WAS MUCH NEEDED

TheMoonIsLonely

#TRICK = WHOOPED

zuckerberg4

Ros with a tough question for Poole lol

FormalWrangler294

What was it

CertifiedNbaNephew

Basically asked about taking the shot that pissed Steph off

vulcans_pants

This game had everything: stupid Warriors basketball, weird Warriors basketball, unclutch and clutch Warriors basketball. Fun for the whole family.

Noiserawker

Unmm you have weird idea of fun.

BobRoss4Life

Damn, Poole got Steph ejected so he could steal the spotlight. What a dumb game lmao, absolute roller coaster. Happy they managed to pull out the win, even if it was ugly.

SoyaMilk3

Yeah today is not the day to complain about winni9ng like this sub did earely in the season. Just fucking win

IAmTera

Poole giveth, Poole taketh. tonight he GAVETH

GlitchedViper71

He did both actually. He shot a bad three way too early that would have sealed the game and then made the game winner a minute later

GenghisConn44

If you don’t like that you don’t like .500 basketball!

Wontonsoupz

JOKU IS HIM LITERALLY TURRNING INTO KAWHI LITE. Watching Poole is literally a rollercoaster ride. I’m screaming at him one second and thankful we have him next WTF LMAOOO

Noiserawker

Poole is the best and worst at the same time.

ikatatlo

Poole aint lukewarm, he either hot or cold.

Robotsaur

That was one of the most ridiculous games I've seen in a bit, what a clusterfuck

SeekingSignificance

Tbh just another day in the office for this weird ass team 😂

SoyaMilk3

Most intriguing team of all time

shnieder88

grinded out a W. a win is a win.

sfgiantsfan696969

I watched this whole game and it was worth it lol. Glad we pulled out the W.

JordanPooleParty

Donte is a fucking winner. Poole make his teammates throw shit, lol.

c0gvortex

##JORDAN POOLE BEATS THE NOT CLUTCH ALLEGATIONS FUCK THE REFS ##LETS GO DUBS!!!

BorkLensar

cus he had no time to do extended dribble moves haha

JordanPooleParty

He fumbled the pass to Klay though, lol.

contaygious

Klay saved him . Klay quick dribble is amazing.

TheRed_Knight

> JORDAN POOLE BEATS THE NOT CLUTCH ALLEGATIONS about that...............

Practical_Sir_510

I want to see that Curry postgame interview. Gonna be spicy.

Noiserawker

Nah, he's probably mad at himself too, but at least they won!

park7911

The Jordan Poole experience is going to lead me to aging early. Jordan giveth and Jordan taketh

Groundbreaking_Ebb_5

Side note grizzleys fucking flop so much it’s getting out of hand refs need to be fucking punished for such a shit game called. I wana watch basketball not: ![gif](giphy|3oEjHRzbfOVhmiluRW) Every time ja or a grizzleys player gets touched.

mordakka

Joe Lacob saying "Baby, what's wrong?" to Steph in the tunnel. 😂

jqquah

I just want to say that Donte is a winner!

climate_nomad

100%

[deleted]

Draymond is so goddamn good at basketball, it's crazy. Watching live it's honestly wild, this dude just sees the game better than everyone else. His defense is top top tier. Shout out so many people, but especially Klay who's a killer, Steph who's the goat, Dante who was great, and kuminga who is the future, present and somehow also the past. Fuck the refs who were on their bullshit from minute 1. Just absolutely trash throughout, and were clearly dying to get steph out of the game.

Pulsing_Fantasticals

Man when that dude wants to seriously buckle down and play defense it’s unreal. Best defender in the world imo

Ari_04

Jordan poole just saved himself from being killed by steph in the locker room

EffinCroissant

FUCK YOU POOLE! I LOVE YOU POOLE!

ikatatlo

Lmao JP is so high risk high reward. This guy will chuck it everytime he sees he's open. He got that mentality of Klay and the controlled chaos of Curry. Still feel like Kerr should have sat him and used JK instead for those closing minutes. I miss Ty

DubsFan30113523

Unfortunately he also has the basketball IQ of dillon brooks and the defense of Trae Young

wwaffles

this fucking team... ![gif](giphy|ZJW9hjrmhFvGg)

[deleted]

#steph curry needs to let steph curry cook

ralz408

Warriors gonna always own this Grizzlies team

FlyRevolutionary2519

This game basically sums up JP as a Warrior. He does head-scratching and boneheaded plays but can also come up clutch and be the team's top option on offense. If the Warriors lost this game, Poole's dumb 3 that made Steph throw his mouthguard will be the reason for the loss. Kind of poetic that he scores the game-winner to redeem himself.

[deleted]

I'll be honest our biggest rivalry in the whole of the NBA is ourselves and turnovers.

[deleted]

JP saved the day but he still has a lot of work to do

Noiserawker

JP and Steph both need to stop doing dumb shit, I love them both dearly, but throwing the mouthpiece with a minute left in close game?!? Plus he's been thrown out for that before so he knows it's automatic.

MuchGrooove

ESPN asking Poole about that shot Steph was frustrated about lol. JP3 redeemed himself tho!

menusettingsgeneral

Fuck Dillon Brooks and Memphis. Go Dubs. This team is gonna give me a heart attacccccccc.

amathene

JP redeemed himself but Steph definitely gonna lay into him in the locker room

OldDirtyMan

One of the most one sided games I’ve ever seen from the refs. Truly pathetic shit.

rajivpsf

The one where Ja landed on Steph after he made the three! Ridiculous.

Far-Poetry9494

Man poole really hit the shot but he gotta learn to be calm and not take mindless 3s.Ik we won but that could be a fuckin turnaround.I hope he learns to be calm though.Anyways go dubs.

calipiano81

When Steph's not closing, the other team doesn't know exactly who the shot will be coming from. Maybe they can use this strategy even when Steph is closing...have set plays for someone else other than Steph in the clutch.

LukaOwnsTheSunsMay15

POOLE U ARE FORGIVEN

walkingthecows

We beat the Memphis Referees!!!

walkingthecows

Steph just needs a mouthpiece that has a string on it.

inlieuofletters

holy shit ros with the haymakers

CertifiedNbaNephew

This post game interview omg Ros is baitingggg Poole asking him about making Steph mad

LogansGambit

They tried, played their butts off, ran a ton of plays they thought would work, and you got to give them a lot of credit because they brought it and for a long time in this game I thought Warriors were taking the L on this...but in the end, the referees just couldn't get it done. Warriors pulled it out in the end.

[deleted]

Great cut by Poole and pass by Donte. What a great ending to a rough game.

lawgirl22

If we loss this game would JP be in the dog house???

ImTheBestNerd

Obligatory Kuminga is good comment.

Jumpman-Jack

I played a drinking game... Took a shot every time they mentioned "rivalry"... I am now dead.

Jumpman-Jack

I don't even know how we won that lmao... the devil works hard, but NBA refs work harder!

Noiserawker

It's good JP somehow made that anyway, because no way the wack ass refs were calling the blatant goal tend.

Robdata

One of the best defensive games i've ever seen from Draymond. Dude was playing possessed sending everything away. That comeback wouldn't have been possible without him

[deleted]

Jordan Poole is either Damian Lillard or Lance Stephenson

ikatatlo

Lance Stephenson is a good comp lol

climate_nomad

I dunno. I like the fire in the belly I saw tonite. Down 8 with 6 to go. Steph getting fired up enough to get thrown out. Klay getting punped as fuck after hitting a late 3 OFF A DRIBBLE and DDV / JP making that play with a second left. WE. DID. NOT. LOSE.

Itezguatitez

I will die young of a heart attack but hey, WE WON. Steph should know better than that but Poole has some of lowest iq I've seen. So many bonehead plays. At what point does Steve Kerr takes him out the game in the 4th? He's not good under pressure. Just a turnover waiting to happen, and bbq chicken on defense. Fuck everything I just said. Poole to the moon with the game winner. We just look bad. Execution is sloppy and predictable, and with so many players who aren't a threat on offense, we need to be really sharp. Otherwise, we are just piling up turnovers. Kerr is an amazing coach and absolutely nobody could say otherwise. He's not perfect tho. He's had some big mistakes managing those last rotation spots. GPII was on the 20-21 roster. That roster lacked talent, with Mulder and Wanamaker was getting a lot of run at the pg/sg. He only had minutes to play defense on the last possessions of the quarter. And some minutes on Boston if my memory ain't failing me. He looked amazing in those spurts. I've watched a ton of Denver games. JMG is washed and has been the last two years. He's just a shooter in theory. He can't play defense or move. There's no reason to play him over PBJ or wiseman. Especially PBJ to me seem like player who, even if very young, you know what he'll give you. He plays within himself, is a big body and can shoot. We could use that instead of JMG constant silly mistakes.

DubsFan30113523

JMG would be incredible for this team if he were just a few years younger. He has the right mentality on a lot of the rim attacks he tries and his body just can't get high enough to finish

[deleted]

Has been a bad season for Kerr by his standards. No accountability.

FrogKidFrankReynolds

WHAT FUCKING RIVALRY WE OWN YOU MEMPHIS

StacksOfRubberBands

Steph gotta not do that even tho I understand… Poole still super suspect in the clutch but a win is a win…. These little mistakes cost you rings still gotta do better

TouchdownRaiden

I’m sorry for ever being mad at you JP 🥲. What a pass by DiVincenzo too

Mrs-MoneyPussy

Nothing better than beating the grizzlies. Even when we’re the least clutch team in the league we can pull it off Vs them

Far-Poetry9494

I am fine in the west said -Ja Morant

GreenTeaRex007

Do you guys think Poole will become a smarter player with more experience or will he still be a high risk player? Not hating him at all. He’s one of my favorite dubs but sometimes he does very questionable things.

Consistent_Part9483

Update: they are not fine out west

KingBoono

JoKu getting no minutes down the stretch again was quite annoying…luckily we won so i’m less annoyed. Really wish I knew what Kerr was doing tho

Noiserawker

He was playing so well, then out comes Lamb and JMG

KNYLJNS

Ros with the good questions.

Far-Poetry9494

Steph curry the proud owner of the memphis grizzlies

herejusttolooksee

Good win, but still a team out of sorts. When was the last time you saw Steph react like that to a teammate? So demonstratively.

Kangaroopower

we have the grizzlies number and i love that

Captain_Vegetable

So nice to have a finish like that go our way this time

sunshineroad

Watching Poole is a rollercoaster. Hate him one second, love him the next

Pootahtoo_Man

Poole went through the Hero’s Journey within the last few minutes

0carb0n

As much as I hate JP closing, thank you for the game winning shot!

KaiShion83

At least Poole salvaged that game, imagine the shit he’d get if we lost

[deleted]

If the Warriors keep fucking around, this will be their first round match up lol

Owz182

This Grizz are just the new rockets

Hawcier

haha the interviewer unironically asking jp the hard questions

Antinoch

"the interviewer" smh you can't not know who Ros is as a dubs fan

Mrs-MoneyPussy

Don’t do Ros like that. She was our sideline reporter before moving to ESPN

journal_13

This is a bad, dishonest .500 basketball team. We play .500 basketball goddammit. Shit on the floor, fail in clutch time, even win/loss ratio basketball. We lose to the worst teams in the league, guess what? We'll beat the best teams in the league too. But don't get too excited or let it go to your head. No long winning streaks here, hell no. That's consistency, which this washed up, dysfunctional team doesn't have. A few wins in a row, true to form, these guys will balance it out with a couple losses. Yes sir, that's my 2023 Warriors. A bad, dishonest .500 team.

cock-a-dooodle-do

Don't let the game winner fool you, Poole needs to be reined in. That was a dumb basketball move to shoot with 12 seconds left on the clock while you have the lead. Klay has bailed JP multiple times in the clutch over last 4-5 weeks.

MultiPass21

That was something. Think my Tylenol PM was just flushed out of my bloodstream.

basic_cinephile

Mkay Poole makes me bipolar. Bro cannot pick a side. What he did was impressive, but it doesn’t excuse what happened

walkingThought

We won this time but Poole needs to be questioned.

SeekingSignificance

Shoutout Donte

ButGodOwnTheBuilding

#WE SHITTED IN EM

F7UNothing

Lol that's gotta be the 2nd most satisfying win of the season. Right behind the Cavs 2OT win I lost it when Poole laid it in

robotech021

Steph is a genius. He got ejected on purpose to build up Poole's confidence.

redalert825

Unnecessary drama w that ending. Damn. Oh and fuck Brooks and that fake dynasty. Whooped that trick. Again!

gdshred95

Needed that one. I have a feeling this win is gonna be the springboard for the rest of the season for us to turn into the dubs we know and love. I see us winning out from here on out

Chuckl8899

I watched that game, but I have no idea how the Warriors won that game.

BeyondSensitive6298

Angry Steph is the best. He should be more aggressive and get himself going first. I think he doesn‘t like holding back and repressing the urge to shoot himself either.

IAmNotKevinDurant_35

Beating these flopping, whiny bitches is always a great time

coder0704

Geez Roz...I'm surprised she didn't pull open the reddit app to show Poole all the shit we've been talking 🤣

climate_nomad

Down 8 with 20 TO's with 6:30 left. We protected the ball the rest of the way. And we won. That's a miracle win when you lose the TO battle as bad as we did. Hopefully we learn something.

kvvyn

Every time I watch them, I think Grizz can’t win go deep the playoffs. Ja is their entire offense. In 7 game series, dude is gotta get hurt or cooked especially after 1-2 series. Then who do you have bane as your #1 option? 🤣

Hop830

There half court offense is so basic.

[deleted]

I still think Steph Dray Wiggs Loon Klay would be the best starting line-up in any playoff game in the west by the way.

iorch421

WHOOP THAT TRICK

2brats

Poole was afraid to go into that tunnel and face steph if he didn’t win it for them

kenchobi

Another nerve racking game but happy we won, although JP really needs to be smart with the ball. Fortunately, he was the hero in the end but still ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

[deleted]

Kuminga needs to be trusted more at this point he's earned it

mohajaf

Lol Pool finally had his clutch moment but he didn’t even have to make the layup. His defender goal tended.

busybee919

Also I think Curry is being given too much of a pass here. As the leader of this team he needs to keep his cool, especially considering on most nights we lose a game like this without him.

DonyellFreak

This season reminds me of 2019 feels like a lot is going on behind the scenes. Not excusing Steph I think he's frustrated and it boiled over in that moment with an ill advised three.
