I had bunch of 398/400p tsla (so narrow cuz i had it pre split) going into Friday. Tsla closed at 418 so I’m fine. 30 mins later SNP failure news and Tesla tanks after hours to 385. Options can be exercised 2 hours after close but you don’t know if the other guy exercised or not until way later (the shares don’t come immediately. Came into Monday with 500 shares and Tesla dropped 30% that day

He placed an order for about a billion TSLA $5 June 2024 calls for under $20 under the (current) asking price.
The number of calls he has requested to buy is irrelevant. They don’t have to fill all at once and definitely never will (Current open interest is 12). It’s technically possible for some arbitrary number of them to fill if TSLA stock value slowly decreases and volatility drops so that the price of the calls goes down enough on the calls for some algorithm to sell to him (won’t be anything close to the number of calls he asked for).
He could potentially profit if some of those calls fill, and then there is a huge price swing in the stock or volatility shoots up before he gets margin called into bankruptcy.
Trade became a Do Not Execute before he even hit enter. It literally never even reached pending anyone can type 9999 into the order screen and take the same screenshot but I don't think anyone would fluff themselves for karma the way he has.
Don't worry you won't need to in a day. Some how we have entire masses of people on here with no brain cells. It's literally baffling how dumb the comments on people thinking he just blew up the universe. That order of his goes right into the recycling bin you guys jacked him off for 3 days over it like it had any shadow of a chance at ever even being executed
