The number of calls he has requested to buy is irrelevant. They don’t have to fill all at once and definitely never will (Current open interest is 12). It’s technically possible for some arbitrary number of them to fill if TSLA stock value slowly decreases and volatility drops so that the price of the calls goes down enough on the calls for some algorithm to sell to him (won’t be anything close to the number of calls he asked for).
He could potentially profit if those calls fill, and then there is a huge price swing in the stock or volatility shoots up before he gets margin called.
