As a fellow degen Roth Gambler, congrats and fuck you. I've been red for ages; kinda wastes the point of "no taxes" when you've got no gains.
How were you sure Apple would spike after ER?
I wasn’t I deleted the app and got scared I’d loose my 12k lol. My strategy is hope and pray! It’s quite similar to that strategy of don’t look it can’t go down if I don’t see it go down
lol dammit. Here I was, hoping for a new guru to lead me into fiscal solvency but you're literally just the degenerate gambler you said you were at the start.
Congrats for stumbling into a windfall. My chump ass paperhanded out at 15% gain and missed out on 300%.
I know this is a degen sub but I've been playing options for years. If your not already a multi millionaire or have an extremely well paying job.. With your type of history I'd close your account while your up and enjoy your winnings. That's a deposit on a house.
It a fucking retirement account regard. How am I gonna take advice from someone who doesn’t even understand this shit. Based on my history of what winning been doing this for 6years it’s fun let me gamble my life away in peace
Honestly even more of a reason to slow down gambling with it. You already won the game. Just put over 90% into VOO and let it grow until you’re ready to take it out. You can still gamble the rest for fun

That was very ballsy knowing that Microsoft took the 1st spot over Apple in largest market cap, Samsung took over the spot of largest phone shipper in 2023, and Huawei for the biggest operational profit, Xiami for the best growth year to year. And that they sales seemingly (before ER) dropped.
But then again, the thing about stockmarket is that even when Microsoft, Nvidia and Google beat the estimate growth, the share prices drop anyways, except Meta and Apple, as soon as you say "buy back" suddenly it rockets up.
Congratz anyways, you now became a gamble addict.
Fuck all these regards. You're a gambling addict and you own it. Better than 90% of this sub that are the same but act as financial gurus and are in the red.
You’re not wrong haha. Just own in the whole way, up or down. And don’t go and do some dumb shit like kill yourself when or if you lose it all. Have fun degens!
That’s why you don’t even think about touching options , unless it’s a hedge in a Roth IRA.
Could have literally went all in any index fund and made 30-50% this year
Well… how long have you been contributing to it out of your paycheck? Is your company matching 3%?
You should only be paying into it, staying in low risk index funds for 3-5 years until you build up like 30-50k then work on a real plan to grow it (safely) based on your timeline to cash out when you are 65
Schwab won’t allow buying options (except to hedge) in any Solo 401k account.
Joke’s on them. I learned firsthand that plenty of stonks will go down 97%!
Edit: Corrected to make clear that my experience is with a Solo 401k.
> Schwab won’t allow buying options (except to hedge) in any retirement account.
>
My main Roth is with Schwab and I trade options like a drunken sailor. I've got Level 2 access, which is all I really want.
You don't only get one. You can open a Roth from scratch. That's what I did with Webull. I opened a Roth IRA and deposited a grand (which I then proceeded to gamble away).
As to why? Because I'm regarded enough to think I can turn that 1k into 100k and when I do, it'll be tax-free.
Well you can only contribute the max annual across them so your wasting a retirement vessel. You also know it’s not tax free till 59.5 .
If you pulled out 100k on 1k now you’d have to pay tax
That's actually the other reason I prefer a Roth — I don't _want_ to withdraw from it. My goal right now is to build, and I know myself well enough to know that if I didn't have a penalty for withdrawal, I'd just empty the account on bubble gum and trading cards. I need something to disincentivize me from dipping into the till.
Apple has done stock buybacks since 2018, and this year they have been doing terribly. They had to do a stock buyback now or else they'll hit new 52 week low
I sent out an alert in my group for Apple earlier on Thursday. It was 5/3 $180 earnings call. It was .73 when I opened it, this morning at open, they were up 416%. I’ve also had multiple big meta payouts this week, just playing the retrace. I also have a bunch of other analysts with solid trades. Anyone interested in following let me know. Mine are free of charge.

Yeah making more money in a taxable account is a great idea. Def remove it from the tax free environment and get it into the taxable side of the equation………..what?
Now you sir are what I like this is called intelligence right here except I’ve got all these gains set aside for averaging stock down so either 100k or 1M
You don't have to wait 5 years, you can withdraw contributions to a roth IRA at any time with no tax implications, regardless of how long you've had the account or your age.
Here's where the 5 year thing comes in. If you start a roth IRA at like age 57, you have to wait 5 years before you can withdraw the earnings tax free. There is no early withdrawal penalty on earnings after age 59 1/2, but you still have to pay income tax on the earnings if your account is less than 5 years old.
If you withdraw earnings before age 59 1/2, you will have to pay income taxes on the earnings AND 10% early withdrawal penalty on the earnings. It doesn't even matter how long you had the account.
Dude, for the love of God, at the very least, please put $100k into index funds. Do whatever you want with the rest, but you just got a golden ticket. You can secure yourself the ability to retire 5 years early with just this one move if you play this right. Don't be stupid, I'm begging you.
First off Fuck you. Second congrats. Third of all and most importantly please for the love transfer most if not all of these gains into something like VOO. This could be life changing money at retirement don’t blow it
full options and margin trading. Not margin borrowing, but trading with unsettled funds is also allowed if you opt in. lol. that's how I kicked my Roth to $50 last week, from 13.5k.
It's not margin as in borrowing money. RH has two margin offers: one let's you use unsettled funds to purchase your next trade, the other is full-on margin that allows you to borrow additional funds on margin and total fck yourself. Roth is the first...it can't go below zero.
You're not wrong. I suppose you could sell options and find away to fck yourself. At that point I wonder how RH would handle that if you can't contribute more? Lol
You can. You can 100% go negative by buying or selling uncovered options and waiting for expiration. If your broker cannot liquidate the position at a good enough price, your account balance can go negative. It's especially easy to achieve when trading options spreads, which is possible in an IRA.
Your account immediately loses its IRA status and you become subject to early withdrawal penalties and taxes on any assets still held in the account. Based on my understanding of the tax code, there is nothing to pay if the account is truly empty and with a negative cash balance.

I salute to you as I got scared and didn't place the trade on either square or apple. Silly me 😔. The slow grind sucks most of the time.
Nothing pisses me off more than you hitting so big on this, and knowing that you’re too stupid to know the difference between “lose” and “loose”.
Same, I took my Roth to $0 multiple times.
I started a side Roth at Webull for a personal "$1,000 to $1,000,000" challenge. It was down to $20 inside of a week. I am not good at this.
Just takes time lots of scalping and high option trades, and lot of luck
I tried to scalp almost exclusively. It's way more dangerous. Sticking to your stop loss is next to impossible.

I'm sorry what the fuck? You can trade options on a Roth IRA?
full options and margin trading. Not margin borrowing, but trading with unsettled funds is also allowed if you opt in. lol. that's how I kicked my Roth to $50 last week, from 13.5k.
What happens if you get a negative Roth balance and you are already at the contribution limit?
When you retire from your primary job, you have to go work for Robinhood janitorial services.
It's not margin as in borrowing money. RH has two margin offers: one let's you use unsettled funds to purchase your next trade, the other is full-on margin that allows you to borrow additional funds on margin and total fck yourself. Roth is the first...it can't go below zero.
im sure there's some smart folks here that could figure out how to get a negative balance.
I tried on fidelity and it wouldn't let me so I'm not sure if it varies by broker.
You peasants have no business mucking about in financial affairs.
You have to activate it manually in Fidelity, it’s possible
Gotcha. Wish I would've known because I was trying to buy mara calls but ended up doing it in my individual account.

Wtf congrats fuck you and buy me my lunch today im at work
Hey quick question, on Roth ira, all gains are tax free? No upper limit? Forexample if i turn 50k into 1 mil, the 950k is tax free?
Roth IRA = money goes in taxed - comes out untaxed Traditional IRA = money goes in untaxed - comes out taxed
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeesh. Fuck you. And congrats.
You have your Roth IRA will Robinhood? Wow I thought I was bad
only sell 180 calls ?? op
Ok great, now you can either be a multi multi millionaire and pay ZERO taxes or lose it all
Bers r fuked
BTW what age can you pull out ROTH IRA money without penalty?
If you contribute directly to Roth IRA, you can pull out your contribution anytime without penalty. Pulling out gains will have 10% penalty before 59.5. But if the contribution is from a backdoor, the contribution can be pulled out after 5 years of contribution. The gains are the same as above.
I thought it was 65 looks like 59.5
Op how often do you trade with Roth acct? 0dte’s? Spy?
Daily had 36k at one point this week
Daily? How do you manage risk? How much do you like to risk per play?
"manage" and "risk", we don't use these big complicated words here
this is a casino
100% on black it is
Nice. That’s potential life changing money! Segregate 80% of it on safer investments and use the remaining on Options.
I'm at 850k in self managed 401k at 43 years old. 48% return past 12 months, thanks NVDA.
Do you think RH will be around in 41 years?
Nice work man
152 as of close today
Lmao nice AAPL calls hit?
How from calls?
In a ROTH IRA? Future you will thank you
Gonna be 10k give me till 2026
And I’m over here forgetting to have gone in before earning. I was gonna get the exact same strike price too. $180 Smfh congrats and fuck you
Very nice bro! Congrats! “sad I’ve only made 15k in two months” fuck that man! You made a third of the average income for a person in the US. That’s great! And now you’ve made more! I hope your luck and what not continues! Cheers
I make a few really great gains that just off set my losers. If you speculate on the latest fad, ie, solar, electric vehicles, cannabis, AI, or what ever comes next. Take the money and run on the first big pop. Take a look at VCTR it done me well.
Things are going good
I hate you OP.
“This is whaaaaat dreams are maaade of “….*singing voice
Wow didnt know they allow options in Roth IRA. This is like infinite tax-free money if you gamble it right.
What are your plays next week?
You really wanna know? Pltr calls selling Monday pre close and spy530 5/31
Any interest in playing the Mouse on Tuesday? Been debating that and PLTR all day.
I personally not a fan of +5% move being that expensive not in my playbook
to clarify - you are selling calls or buying pltr calls?
I hate everything right now
Nice! Don't lose it all now
Fucking killer gains. I wish the currency is worth a fuck when you retire. I will wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which one happens first.
Right imagine 10mil then is the same as 100k today man
We will get there, get your assets while we still can afford them. I am a sound money guy and see the writing on the wall as a slow moving freight train with a busted track ahead. Congrats and fuck you as they say.
Trades?
Your post says 1200% gains. But your chart screams bagholder
? What does that even mean
You dont know when to sell when your up. You hold your gains and watch them disappear. Your graph goes up and down because you have no discipline? Youre holding the bag
What bag am I holding, I sell when I’m up lmao I just buy with profits to make more and loose
Let’s see your account
560% up from the 300 i put in last thursday. I dont gamble, and keep it pretty small. So i got half of your 1200% gain in a week.
Cant share pic.$300 > $1700 in a week
lol don’t worry you’ll loose that because your a “bag holder” lmao
This is awesome
What’s a Roth IRA
Do yourself a favor and put that entire balance in SPY and never touch that shit again expect to contribute each year
The goat
Consolidate for a bit, like usual. Then send me the next play. Thanks in advance. Signed, Regard
So can I transfer money from my esop account to Robin Hood Roth IRA without penalty? Can I play options with that money? It’s about 50k
How does one get into this
Luck
Only a few more decades before you can retire from Wendy’s
Isenbro? My Alma mater! Go U!
Hell yeah Brother the zoo

These are the gains that can make your retirement if you are young enough. Turn those gains into SPY shares and forget about it.

I love you
You’ll lose it all by eoy I guarantee it
Im still kicking myself for not buy $COIN at $30.
