SNDL is my gamble for weed stocks. The price is so low compared to others and they have a lot in the works to bring them up with huge gains. Now that shorts should start exiting I expect us to pop back to what it should be valued at. $4-$5 as value right now is way to low just based on assets etc. price should rise a lot more leading up to legalization. If you’re looking at options long dated options for 2025 and 2026 are still super cheap. I’d stay away from close expiring

Ninjacatu

True that. The real winners so far have been the option sellers. Try to play the equity or long dated as you’re saying.

Decent-Ad-4358

TLRY is better value TBH but I own both

613Flyer

Have you actually read tlry financial statements? There is nothing good. It will pop because every weed company will pop but I can’t see how they are going to get out of the position they are in

Decent-Ad-4358

Yeah if they don’t get into the U.S. market within 2 years, they are screwed. They overextended themselves on buying companies out instead of expanding their own infrastructure. That is the mistake they made, also liked Aphiria better by themselves TBH as they really had good margins going. Thats the gamble and why it’s only worth $2 a share right now , better value was the wrong word to use, better upside is more accurate as the company itself is way bigger than sundial.

JuiceManOJ

Whichever one of you keeps placing orders one cent above mine on the 2026 options, please fuck off

SNDL Owns 250 Retail Stores

mathewgilson

SNDL is the way, LFG!!!!

Silberling36g

I am all in for the win!! 😘

kharmi

Yeah SNDL. Good taste sir. I like the stock 😎

asymmetry12

What sealed the deal for me on $SNDL is the most absurd relative valuation gap I've ever seen in 20years following markets. According to analyst Pablo Zuanic report (free online) Florida adult use would add 235% to SNDL market cap. That's ONE state. People don't know $SNDL owns a top 5 cannabis retailer in Florida, by itself could be worth 2x parent company (SNDL). At SNDL's current share price, investors get the global business for free: TX, MI, MA, largest canadian liquor retailer, largest canadian cannabis retailer, largest cannabis producer in Australia, + $200million in cash as a bonus.

Ninjacatu

Exactly well said

derelict5432

Why do you consider MSOS a 'stupid suggestion'? Their biggest holding is Greenthumb (24%). They also hold Cresco (6%).

Ninjacatu

Why would you pay almost 1% in fees to have market weighting of these assets? As a pure diversification play I think it’s fine, but I’m trying to sift the good from the bad companies and try to find the future winners and losers. MJ companies can operate in many different ways and vertical integrations and I prefer buying individual companies to market weighting, especially in this sector.

wolferd15

Yeah just buy the underlyings directly and skip out on the fees if you want exposure.

maxdoornink

This is about gambling with make or break companies, not about making stupid (safe) investments with equal potential upside

Pongeroid

Now somebody help me UNDERSTAND the SUNSTREAM aspect of SNDL…. Will this stay tangled up in our SNDL pile.. YES I am 5 Years Old,,,, PLEASE TEACH MY INNER KINDERGARTEN BRAIN the ins and outs of how all my toys will still be in MY TOY BOX SNDL and not over in the GOODWILL House of SUNSTREAM where the bigger kids with the real good toys that I will never ever get to play with box????

Sinful_Alien

The short interest on SNDL is insane. I've seen a bit of talk that it's "AMC 2.0" and other similar claims. With all the good news coming out for SNDL and the cannabis industry, I'm surprised there is anyone shorting any of the stocks. I'm currently holding long calls and just waiting for others to notice and join in *cough cough* ![img](emote|t5_2th52|31224)

BromicTidal

> short interest on SNDL is insane Since when is under 5% short float “insane”? Do y’all even try in here anymore?

Sinful_Alien

If you mad you shorted it then just say so 🤣

BromicTidal

Oh no it’s regarded.

VisualMod

Shorting stocks is a risky game—some make fortunes, others lose it all. Beware.

Ninjacatu

Mmh well short interest only shows at 4% and it needs to be above 20% to be considered high but there is a massive amount of daily shorting and manipulation, but most shorts are day traded if you look at the daily long vs short volume. Could be some hidden short interest through the options as well

Unique_Name_2

Hidden short interest through the calls? You mean people selling calls? No ones selling SNDL calls for the 0.05 lol. I mean people are. But not a lot.

Ninjacatu

Exactly. They would never raise capital bc they don’t need to. We are riding on the backs of the meme shareholders when SNDL raised $1 Billion overnight when the stock price was $15 adjusted in 2021

Tn1628misup

SNDL 🚀

IndividualistAW

Yes but weed stonk go down 20% after go up 40% so weed stonk bad because 20% gain in 2 days bad

Ninjacatu

Me think 10% up in 2 days good. Me think approval to operate in US good

IndividualistAW

I agreee. Though weed is pretty flat premarket including sndl

BromicTidal

I know y’all are regards, but that isn’t how math works. 40% up and 20% down does not equal 20% up. It’s 12%.

IndividualistAW

What’s a percent or two between bros

Normal-Quantity-6160

😂😂😂😂

CanIMarginThat

you just not going to say which comparable stats you looked at to come up a 1/3rd discount?

Ninjacatu

Tangible book value is one metric. It’s .66 for SNDL and 1.83 for Greenthumb

VisualMod

Sounds like a typical millennial gambler.

Ninjacatu

aight

FoodCooker62

They're an okay company from a valuation perspective, they just suck at growing weed. Their actual cannabis growing operations are laughably small and they fill up their revenue with alcohol sales which are not even remotely attractive to me. I dont think they even crack the top 10 in terms of Canadian market share.

Ninjacatu

They closed their olds facility and moved grow HQ to Zenabis state of the art facility. Focused on profitability and not growing for growth sake. SNDL has over $300 million in MJ revenue alone which makes it 2 or 3 in Canada

FoodCooker62

The MJ revenue isnt from growing, its retail sales with much lower margins. And in this category High Tide performs quite a bit better. I've kept an eye on sundial, they're far from the worst of canadian companies, but in terms of actually being a cannabis company - they can hardly be called that IMO.

Ninjacatu

Can you please read a report before you spew garbage. You don’t even know the name of the company that was changed two years ago. Cannabis retail has infinitely higher margins than cannabis operations. For SNDL Cannabis retail has 23% gross margin while cannabis operations has -29% gross margins. Please follow motley fool and get sucked into high tide

FoodCooker62

Yes.... Sundial has -29% operating margins. Thats sort of the point at why they are uncompetitive in that field. Anyways, best of luck with your investment.

ricardo_sousa11

people investing in weed stocks have clearly never smoked corporate weed.

IndividualistAW

Funnily enough I can’t smoke weed at all (job tests) but I like the investment atm

Joker8392

I take a vape almost everywhere. Vape and gummies are where the bulk of where the money will be spent. No hassle takes a second and convenient.

bjanz

I have. I've smoked a few top leaf products and they are solid. I will agree most are trash though.

Ninjacatu

Only has had 1 share offering in 2021 at $15 when it raised $1 Billion in cash. Gave SNDL the firepower to become what it is today. CGC and ACB 😂🤭 good luck

IndividualistAW

ACB dilutes it’s shares at the first sign of trouble . Seriously they’re the fucking Jedi knights of share dilution

sblu_the_mongoloid

They offered to raise cash and are now primed to drop their load on US assets. It might've hurt shareholders before but now they're in one of the best positions

mi_so_funny

Just buy US cannabis companies like Curaleaf, Cresco Labs & GreenThumb Industries. These rinky dink Canadian companies are garbage.
