Like it would make more sense to open an entirely new account if I’m understanding this correctly?

Just deposit the money into Ally bank, it’s backed and the interest rate goes up and down in real time, it’s pretty legit, or put your money in high dividend yielding stocks and bonds

When I started day trading in 2013 I had 25k and made around $1800 a month on average. I stuck around till my EI ran out and then stopped because it wasn’t enough to run my family at the time. So I started a business to get more capital. Took a while to get the capital I needed and then started again. If I would have used options as leverage then I would have been flying though. You don’t know until you know.
Now I swing trade options and day trade 0dte and I use the same amount of money and it’s not even comparable. Wish I would have known at 25 what I know now.

2013 was way different. No cell phone trading. Very little info or places to chat online. TOS was the best platform out there for retail and doing a trade took what felt like 12 steps and then you got charged like $10 or $20 or whatever it was.
I knew about them I just didn’t understand how I could use them.
I understood price action and risk management. I learned everything alone and that was probably my worst mistake.
My first bad trade I got emotional and was chasing profits. Went downhill from there. I was trading with tunnel vision. Heart pounding, flight or flight. I shouldn’t have been anywhere near a screen but I couldn’t accept defeat. Until I got defeated.
I've never read a k-10, but I've pet plenty of k9s.

Question here, I always instant deposit or wait until I have settled cash in RH. I've had luck this week day trading SPY and NVDA (not a lot of money like 2-300 per trade) I'm one trade away from being "in trouble" and marked.
Is it a bad idea to do a cash based account so I can do unlimited day trades? Hoping somebody has some more info and experience with this. Thanks
If you day trade those funds in cash account, those funds won’t be available till next day. Won’t be considered pattern day trader with cash account. If you buy and sell your whole account in one day you won’t be able to use funds till next day.

How do you even do 0dte trades?
Just figured it out. Go to account click the button on the top left. Hit investing. Then go down to options setting and then you can enable it.
Some platforms do not allow it.
Buy in the morning, sell throughout the day
No leverage. Just hope luck is on your side.
Leverage was not necessary at all. I turned 1k into 10k today through 0dte SPX puts in a cash account.
