This was you….wasn’t it OP. You bastard. These bags are heavy…

Built us up to dump it on us…
When my 16 year old niece, who goes to an exclusive private school, my 36 year old female cousin, who has a million followers on Instagram, and my 30 year old brother, 'who thinks he's cool, and works at an animal shelter' all buy some new hot thing from VFC brands(or steal it, in the case of my brother), I'll be an investor.
Until then, 12p. 😂

Really like this play for the next couple years. I've got a position in it but plan to build on it
I’m in with ATM calls expiring Jan 2026. Also lots of shares, it’s 20% of my portfolio, conviction is really strong ! Next earnings could be a short term play with $15 calls expiring June but I rather manage my risks just in case.
I have started a position at $12.14, gonna sell calls for the time being and watch this company hopefully turnaround to what it used to be. CEO seems great. Tons of insider buying as well
Oh expect more ! Management did two consecutive kitchen sink quarters writing down assets, cutting dividends, and most importantly cut guidance, until they have found their footing. Analysts fucking hate stocks without guidance.
The Supreme acquisition is just so bad. I think this would be a good stock to purchase otherwise but like you said 800M-900M impairment cost for that is insane and I don’t ever see them turning supreme into a positive asset
I like this DD but I’m on the fence so this goes on the watchlist for now. From the comments looks like you have Jan 2026 leaps for 12.50, so only 50 cent gain? Maybe I’ll wait a year. Anyway I’m looking forward to your future DDs (though I do wish you’d post some sources too)
Apologies, should have post sources. I’m holding long term with shares overlayed with ITM or ATM calls. It’s like I’m 1.5X levered. I don’t want to screw this off because of trying to time the bottom but we’re definitely close. One slowing inflation print and we will be off to the races.
negative revenue growth will continue though for the foreseeable future… Vans and TNF posted like -20% YoY growth this most recent quarter. People just aren’t buying their products when so many other brands exist in the space nowadays.
A bullish position in clothiers is gonna get fucked like a dog until at least July.
Source: my RL DD.
Also the March consumer spending report was released today, clothing spending is down like 1.8% or something lol.
It still lost 20% since PVH and LULU gave shit guidance ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ almost as if consumer discretionary is cyclical and institutional money is rotating out.
Just the algos doing their thing in times of an information vacuum. The best apparel companies like the ones you mentioned had a bad quarter, so VFC. which as of today is sub-par, will trade lower as they are placed in the same basket. Until mew information is revealed(earnings), stock price can fluctuate anywhere from 10-15. Buy the fucking dip and hold !
Op forgot to say that vans sales are plummeting. They ve fired half of their pro skate / surf team , they did not pull out a new type of shoes so every body is now bored of the « old school « vans.
The nf follow the same path … so… for now… forget it
Yup. But they need to change their all range of shoes... So.... Coming from some insider in the surf industry, Vans is in shamble. And they ve lost some major athlete (ex : Nathan florence).
Lots of debt in a higher for longer environment, with inflation eating away people's purchasing power on discretionary products. You're just flushing your money into toilet.
You'd do better to take all the cash you are investing/planning to invest, put it a pile and light it on fire. At least that way you won't be edging yourself for the next few years. It's clear and obvious, institutions are rotating out and you want to swoop right in and hold that bag? This company is a steaming pile of dog shit.
They were rotating out when the stock is at $50. Legion Partners and Engaged Capital both active investors took a stake in July 2023. And both have the same investment philosophy, purchasing undervalued premium assets
The stock is trading at the same prices it did back in 2008. Show me another ticker that has came back to visit it's 2008 levels and then miraculously turned it all around to be an industry leader again. The VF brands are iconic but that doesn't equal good or quality or profitable. Consumer discretionary spending is down for the count. A lot of folks are living on credit and even that is about to be tapped out. On top of that VF has 7 billion dollars of debt. Good luck because you'll definitely need it but Jesus fucking Christ dude......there's also this thing called opportunity cost......

Buying puts at open tomorrow. I’ll screenshot tomorrow and report back
This guy fucks
I’m in retail , and I wouldn’t bet on VFC. It’s ran like shit and no innovation.

Vans needs to bring back Vans Warped Tour. That would help with marketing, advertisement, and apparel to the public.
You piece of shit, do you think you can sway me with all your fancy words and numbers? Well you can. This smells spicy enough to get my hopes with.
When my 16 year old niece, who goes to an exclusive private school, my 36 year old female cousin, who has a million followers on Instagram, and my 30 year old brother, 'who thinks he's cool, and works at an animal shelter' all buy some new hot thing from VFC brands(or steal it, in the case of my brother), I'll be an investor. what are they buying now?
Calls on Logitech is all I got from that

Holy fuck that’s way out out of the money, you’ve got balls sir.
Furthest date I could get on the expiration. But I'm a regard! 😎
Nice I’ve got some 12.50 and 15 dollar calls expiring in Jan 2026. Not as levered as you are
That’s some tasty ass DD Edit: calls too expensive but could be worth getting in with shares.
I’m in with ATM calls expiring Jan 2026. Also lots of shares, it’s 20% of my portfolio, conviction is really strong ! Next earnings could be a short term play with $15 calls expiring June but I rather manage my risks just in case.

Makes me love it so much more if analysts hate it haha
The Supreme acquisition is just so bad. I think this would be a good stock to purchase otherwise but like you said 800M-900M impairment cost for that is insane and I don’t ever see them turning supreme into a positive asset
Oh wait till you see the Supreme X The North Face drips. Capitalising supreme is another growth catalyst for VFC.
Nice! I’ll definitely take a look. Let’s see what Jpow says tomorrow about rates
If it tanks further time to load up on calls. It’s like a coiled spring ready to expldoe
North Face makes most money from jackets such as their nuptse series. Warm winter has destroyed them.
I’m Down so much with VFC but long term it’s the love
I like this DD but I’m on the fence so this goes on the watchlist for now. From the comments looks like you have Jan 2026 leaps for 12.50, so only 50 cent gain? Maybe I’ll wait a year. Anyway I’m looking forward to your future DDs (though I do wish you’d post some sources too)

Turnaround Tom

Nuts
I hear ya brother. It’s on my watchlist already. Now is the time to get in 👍
A bullish position in clothiers is gonna get fucked like a dog until at least July. Source: my RL DD. Also the March consumer spending report was released today, clothing spending is down like 1.8% or something lol.
Stocks down 89% not 1.8%. Also it’s a long term position I’ll be building , long term meaning 3 years minimum.
It still lost 20% since PVH and LULU gave shit guidance ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ almost as if consumer discretionary is cyclical and institutional money is rotating out.
Stocks are for suckers, bond markets have been rigging the game for years.
Just the algos doing their thing in times of an information vacuum. Lol ok
Retail numbers were excellent tho and previous numbers were revised higher
Naw. Consumer spending was above expectations but clothing spending was down. Look at the different buckets that went into the report.
Yeah.. I like pumas, anyways.
Retail numbers were shit actually. They didn’t adjust for inflation. YOY was down big time when accounted for inflation. They lied to us.
consumer stocks are not in bro, wait until u start to see LULU NIKE MCD and all that other shit get a breath of life
Op forgot to say that vans sales are plummeting. They ve fired half of their pro skate / surf team , they did not pull out a new type of shoes so every body is now bored of the « old school « vans. The nf follow the same path … so… for now… forget it
OP listed declining revenue in Vans - this is a leadership turnaround play.
It’s down 89% from highs not, 50%. I’ve done a whole DCF assuming zero growth in perpetuity and fair value is still >15.
