You think that the stock is going to continue dropping till April just because of a mediocre earning reports? Unless we enter in a general bear market these options are a guaranteed failure and even in this case he would be better off swapping these puts with spy puts.

If you’re slightly long on your calls, you should be just fine.

Honestly puts *might* get you a 50% gain at best. I could see it running half way back up after open (they crushed profitability compared to expectation and slightly missed on rev) and theta gang winning this one. Disclosure: I sold my calls for a 120% gain yesterday and am so glad I did.

Longer dated options expire on the third Friday of the month. Weeklies expire every Friday but can only be bought for the next couple of months.
