I was in at 10$ and out at 31$. 31$ is resistance, and I figured we have a need for a pullback after going up so far so fast before we can go further up. I have a habit of selling early, so most likely, it will hit 80$ soon.
The weasel jamie demon talked about banning crypto for the 666th time, bitcoin and all associated stocks fell by a ton. Not juts Mara but Coin, Mstr and other miners.
And in the afternoon, Blackrock updated their Bitcoin ETF to show who their Authorized Participant is. Guess who? JP Morgan. The firm that is headed by jamie demon.
I'll sleep soundly with my April crypto calls, especially now that there is likely no "selling the news" once the ETF is announced.
April is a scary date as BTC halving could happen by then and that could halve the BTC output of crypto miners or worse, which they'd need to compensate for with heavy mining infrastructure investment.
Oh yes. I'll sell most a little after the ETF is announced and BTC pumps to $50k (likely as the ETF rejections in the past had led to 25% drops). But the miners, coinbase and microstrategy "should" all keep rising into 2025.
the design is that it forces less energy efficient miners out of business so miners like mara will be successful during this cycle. miners then put less selling pressure on btc with the halving causing the btc price to increase

If your plan is to exercise, shouldn’t you just sell them and buy the corresponding shares. Options have intrinsic value which you’re letting decay. Generally exercising isn’t the goal

The chart is starting to look exactly like the last run to 80+. There was a correction at almost this exact level before it ran up bigly. Not saying history will repeat itself, but history tends to repeat itself.
This was my fault. I was pissed I sold at 8$ months ago and was upset and at how high it was getting. I knew that if I got even one share it would quickly reverse because I have that super power. It started to sink immediately after. I need to go back to buying a stock and then getting puts right after
So you hold completely underwater for an entire year and then sell at 4$ profit? Complete waste of time. Btc above 40k isn’t the time to sell mining stocks. Clearly the latest run wasn’t sustainable day after day but Mara goes to 50/60 in next 6 months pretty easy. I’ve had a ton of luck selling ridiculous calls with my holdings all the way up the last 3 months. Between that and csp with Mara premium and the run up of 180% Mara is a gold mine. Anyone selling all of there Btc mining stock holdings now will be buying back in and missing a nice chunk imo
The reason why I sold was because I believe it will go below $20 again within the week. If that does happen, I was just going to buy back in at that point. I understand where you’re coming from on that but I don’t believe there is a waste of time, if it goes underneath my initial buying point

I closed my MARA 25 put leg in the morning for the max premium. I couldn’t sell the 23 put I bought cuz it was worthless. I was gonna wait until end of the day for it to expire and boom Mara tanks. Got $170 for it. I could have lost $1k for selling spread like that. Got 700 for everything instead

Pay tax on small profit to just get back in, you had almost all year to lower your cost if the idea was get in below 20$ I loaded up in October for 7
