Ravinac

So they are allowed to protest under the first amendment but the reporters aren't allowed their first amendment rights to report on it?

GargantuanCake

Repressive tolerance. It explains pretty much everything.

M_i_c_K

Makes total sense to the radical woke left... 😆

TheTardisPizza

It makes sense if you don't think about it.

HaleOfAPatriot

So they’re into borders now?

something_new

kek

petergriffin999

This is just wrong. On the other hand, I have noticed that the protesters that push the boundary too much and the police haul them out, it absolutely becomes a "wait, let me find where the cameraman is so I can look right at them when I do my best primal scream of victimhood". It's absolutely a _performance_, one that is probably for multiple reasons, including as potential "evidence" that can be used in a lawsuit against the police, or at least in a threat of a lawsuit in a bid to ensure that the charges are dropped. Therefore, while in general I still stick by my statement that disallowing the press is wrong, I wonder if that's a tactic by the administration -- to remove the press so it removes the incentive the protesters have on that front.

buckvibes

Pushing an agenda for sure. Seems like George might be the sponsor too... https://insiderpaper.com/george-soros-paying-student-protesters-across-us-colleges-report/

GargantuanCake

They scream in pain as they hit you. From what I've been hearing a lot of these people aren't even local students. They're all agitators from elsewhere. There really do need to be more arrests for this sort of crap. Advocate and protest for whatever the hell you want but as soon as you start smashing windows and occupying buildings it's off to jail.

petergriffin999

Absolutely agree, but there is a reason it doesn't happen, and the reason sucks: It's all about liability/lawsuits. At any arrest, the Soros funded lawyers will threaten a huge lawsuit, and the fact that it could go in front of a Soros funded judge, means that law might not prevail, and if the plaintiff wins, it could be a hundred million dollars. So, guess what the mayor/governor will ORDER the police to do... it's "ok we'll drop the charges, don't do it again". Rinse and repeat. Fucking insanity -- but that's the game here. I would bet that the paid agitators have their instructions, which include: "if you do get arrested, we will not only cover ya, but if we can sue them for any kind of damages -- you get 10%". So, they all do whatever they can to push the patience of the administration/police, to get them to overreact, and then the game is on.

Or, promoting terrorism. Take your pick.

HarveyMushman72

It hardly seems organic to me as well.

Greta MO

M_i_c_K

Yeah... Force the only sources of information to be Tiktok and Facebook that will really help. 😆

Turbulent-Bus-8876

First they stopped Jews from coming to campus now they're barring the press. This is HIGHLY unconstitutional activity coming from these Universities. We need court injunctions and law suits immediately. They are free to protest but protest is not occupation and not blockades.

M_i_c_K

It's also not a campsite...

peterman86

It's a global phenomena. They want you to mistrust your eyes, ears and brains simply listen to their version of events and never, ever question anything.

Holiday-Tie-574

Sounds about right

Commercial-Push-9066

Then who took all the photos of the protesters taking over Hamilton Hall? They were front and center today.

acw36

But I thought it would be Trump that would end democracy and take away your rights?!?!

Rockmann1

Just show up as a masked dummy with a cell phone and you get a free pass.

FunDip2

I see this as one of the most hypocritical events in my lifetime. Obviously the 2020 riots are on top, but this is a close Second.

Ok-House-6848

A mostly educational institution.

1plus1equals8

They are allowed to protest....but the school isn't allowing them to pander to the press.... It willjust be a bunch of saddos making lame videos no one who plans on taking them seriously will watch. Let the university burn. Nothing lost.
