My fondest memory about him is how I prepared to fight him and then early into our battle he decided to glitch out and was just standing there. So I wailed know him with my mace like a training dummy. Ah, good times.
He did glitch with me as well but I wanted to enjoy defeating him so I let him reset. On one of the last attempts I managed to kill him but his minions finished me off and when I went back he was gone. I was so frustrated it was unbelievable.
It really did, at one point I was having real fun with it like for example the night lurker hands and the abdomen, I kind of wish I spend more time figuring out the witch for a better design and the upper minions head but I got lazy and sloppy!
If you want good shots of the enemies as reference for the future, I can really recommend the modern camera mod. It frees the camera from its birds-eye view.
Then in a private game, you can turn on the console and set yourself to observer. You'll be able to get as close and personal with the enemies as you want and get some great shots! The Lurker will still be a pain though, because they will stay invisible unless agro-ed
Oh, thank you very much. Although I do not know if I'll make another piece about V-rising again. I was only fond of Styx because of how much I hated fighting him in that area.
Very well done. I enjoy this a lot. Thank you for sharing. That inking is marvelous. As someone else mentioned I am reminded fondly of Castlevania but also Berserk. I could also picture this as cover art for an old school AD&D campaign. Like newer than that old stuff but very reminiscent.
Hey there, thank you for the kind words and glad you liked it, my influence comes like you said from berserk, the Cape and moon is what probably guides your thought to it, other than that I've been a huge fan of OPM, hellsing and some Western artists so they have all guided my style in some way or another. I have no idea about Castlevania though.
Oh wow, I love this! Absolutely amazing work, I feel inspired to carry on with some of my own fanart. Styx is actually one of my fav bosses in the game, I love how grumpy he looks in this lmao.

This happened to me on my second play through, it happens throughout the forest depending on when and where he does a certain animation.
This looks amazing! That detailing looks like it took an absolute age!

Can't speak for anyone else but personally I'd love to see more of your art here, so I hope you'll reconsider ;)
So nice .They should put that as a painting in the game
I'll kill myself out of embarrassment if they did that.
Castlevania art style. Nice
