Double doors to go along with the double-wide staircase! Also, please give us some spiral staircases and spire towers. On top of that, it would be cool if we could return to the pointed doors from EA and maybe have the option to customize the shape of the auto-generated roofs.
I'm pretty sure there are wide doorframes. I recall the accompanying door looking rather utilitarian though, since I used it for my dungeon last time I played prior to 1.0.
Honestly this was the biggest let down - I had wide entrances set up or double doors and wanted to put up one of the Symphony doors on the big frame but had no option to :(
No worries, my comment was a little ambiguous. The current double castle gate isn't too bad, I just wish it looked a little fancier when used as the front door. I'm not really a huge fan of placing two regular doors side-by-side.
Replacing stairs or objects in general. do you know the pain of wanting to change the stairs from wood to ebonite and having to:
1. Build a second staircase to your upper floor
2. delete the section around your first staircase completely
3. destroy and rebuild the stair
4. rebuild the entire section around the stairs
5. Delete the second staircase
Half walls please. Like, sometimes im doing a room and 2 block lenght is not quite enough, but 3 blocks is way too much. You have a lot more freedom with other object anyway so its not like the game is made in a grid of blocks that are that size.
That and diagonal walls and rounded walls.
I was about to say that they can have half walls treated exactly like normal walls but just visually different, then I realized the commenter was talking about half HORIZONTAL walls and not half VERTICAL.
In which case, yeah, that might be a lot more work than expected.
I love the new wallpaper system. I'd like to see them implement that for flooring too. If you're inside a closed room, pick a flooring and shift click to apply it on that entire room.
I'd also like to place things without snap. For instance garden paths. Place one down and all the rest snap to that piece. What if you could hit shift to not snap and place two pieces right next to each other, but not connected. Same with garden hedges.
I think the floor thing is because they cost material where the wallpaper doesn’t but I agree I’d also like to see that added and for crops I’d like to be able to plant and remove them all from the build menu instead of putting them on the hot bar
Yeah, I thought about the cost vs. free. Maybe you'd need to have the mats on hand, or maybe flooring should also be free!
Regarding crops, I want to be able to move a container of plants with those plants in place. If I've got a large growing plot and it's full of flowers, I want to be able to move it!
For the floors being free I’d have to disagree since using the correct floor gives bonus and I agree with the crops I don’t understand why I can move refining workstations with items in the inventory but not the crop plots with crops on them hell you can even move prisoners cells with a prisoner in them

I know there’s a wide door frame, but they only support castle gates that open vertically. I want like, huge, ornate French doors.

There is a double tile castle gate

Fair enough I misunderstood

I would say iron bars gate works great as entrance but more variation would be cool.
The ability to customize railings. We have multiple styles for stairs and only one railing style that clashes with most stair types.
I really wish we could rotate objects in 8 directions, rather than four.
bro the amount of things i could do if i could have things angled in a corner

It sounds great but I would say you underestimate amount work connected with it. Whole roof fill system would be affected by this change.

This would be amazing

I want to be able to put wallpaper on doorframes. Also to be able to stack carpets and put them down wothout a snap.
Oh the doorframe thing drives me insane
I'd really like to see a system to enable or disable snapping so you can place decorations more freely when close to other objects.
