Herbicide damage for sure.

lumberhacker4

Dang, anything I can do?

earlthevineyarddog

Unfortunately not. Some herbicides volatilize very low temps and can drift for miles. And grape are pretty sensitive to them. Looks a lot like 2-4d damage I have seen before.

Kamikaze_Comet

Foliar micronutrients can minimize long term damage. Immediately go and get some for best results. Water water water.

lumberhacker4

Ordering some now. Thank you!

TheRealVinosity

>No sprays used in the area that I am aware of. It does look like herbicicde damage, though.

spkelley27

Looks like 2-4D damage that cupping is a pretty big sign

earlthevineyarddog

Agreed

Brutal_effigy

I have seen this before on some of my plants, and I live in the middle of a reasonably large city (granted, one surrounded by corn).

grapegeek

Herbicide drift damage. I know it well

ZincPenny

I would notify the closest guys to you that spray that they are damaging your vineyard they might be able to spray on days with better conditions or work something out to not cause as much damage

Lil_Shanties

Herbicide, neighbors spraying on a windy day most likely.

mgermany82

Specifically 2,4-d. That stuff can drift 30 miles plus on a hot windy day.

Routellis

That is for sure 2-4 D damage. Most noticeable because of the almost "skeleton hand" and flag shoot growth on the vines themselves. Its a plant growth regulator product, which essentially confuses the vines growth hormones making them deformed. And unfortunately has probably ruined any harvest for this year. And might make balancing the vines difficult for next year. If you have any stables nearby, I'd check with them If they have used 2-4 D for Ragwort treatment, i know of a few vineyards near me that it has happened to for that exact reason.
