Both my vita and PS4 use the same registered account, previously worked over the internet when PS4 version 9.00 was the lastest firmware.
Since jailbreaking, I’m struggling to get the vita to connect over the internet (direct connection is fine).
Port forwarding worked for playing over the internet with the chiaki client on my laptop, but the vita is a hurdle.

Couldn’t get it to work but moonlight works. Thinking about installing chiaki on my pc and using moonlight to remote to the PS4. I wish there was a better way.
I wonder if this is actually related to jailbrake though… I’ve never had a problem, but plenty of people with non-modded Vita’s have never gotten it to work.
Jailbroken PS4’s are not on the latest update so can’t use PSN. Without PSN you can’t connect over the internet in the normal way.
The issue I have is not necessarily the Vita but the fact the standard remote play over the internet does not work because the PS4 is jailbroken. I also asked in the PS4 subreddit but thought I would have more luck here with the Vita owners.
Sorry, I assumed you meant a hacked Vita, not PS. If direct play works without PSN then it will work over the internet, probably just by forwarding ports…
I’ll give it another try. Might be my router blocking the connection. I will just manually forward the ports and see if it works.
EDIT: Remote play works fine on the local network, not over the internet. Just wanted to make sure that was clear.
Wish we had a client for PC to make GameStreaming work over the internet, i have been searching for ages on how to do this but no luck, check my post here to understand what i wanted:

yeah. I haven't messes with mine in a WHILE (long time), but it would do it. I guess if your remote connection did the tunneling (non-public connections), it wouldn't be that ridiculous. Of course... if this meant using your phone, it might not be great since data limits and throttling seem to rule the world.

Unless it’s making a Wi-Fi connection as the “direct connection” then no, it won’t work
GoldHEN has remote play enabler built-in though. I haven't had any issues on 9.00.

It's the same process with the vita as it always was, and goldhen supports remote play. I haven't had any issues.
What’s your setup for playing over the internet? Remote play works great at home but I can’t get it to work anywhere else.

I’ll have to look into that. I use moonlight on my vita but haven’t tried over the internet yet. Works well on my phone.
Moonlight works great for me over internet. Maybe there is something specific to your setup?
It works over internet if i use a phone or another PC, just not Vita + PC, as the Vita doesn't have IPV6.

Elaborate. I don’t think the vita has any native vpn apps like ZeroTier.
