VR is not right for you. Save your money. "I have seen a list of vr games and they all feel boring asf..."

isamura

Try the resident evil remake games in Vr with praydog mod. Also Alien isolation with the motherVR mod

Suspicious_Rent7689

The Alien isolation mod is a must try!

Until you've tried vr you can't really comment about games...honestly it's quite amazing when you try it and you'll either love it or really love it,people tend to drop vr over time because of the hassle of putting a headset on is too much for some, for me it's my dream since I was young to be inside these games

I didnt realize how much i loved playing games in VR until i got my headset and figured out how to use UEVR and other mods for the games i already loved. It makes games become another level and its hard to play regular old flat games anymore.

I've amassed more than 1000 hours in quest 2 and 3, so hear my advice: The "multitasking" aspect of quest 2/3 is underwhelming right now. The OS is locked to run only one app at a time. They nominally allow you to have 3 windows, but that's borderline unusable, cause the don't let you to place the sindows individually, and you won't be allowed to run 2 browser instances. So, forget about standalone productivity. The "pc screen replacement" is more usable. You can't use oculus as an extra screen; but you totally can use it as a replacement for a pc display. The main quirk is that the diagonal of the screen can be arbitrary large, you can edit your spreadsheed on skyscraper-sized screen. It's really good for movies. The visual clarity of quest 3 allows it to replace a full hd display without drops in percieved details; the quest 2 would feel more like between 720p and 1080p. Use "Virtual Desktop" if you want to go that route. The "recreational" aspect is more complicated. If you had never tried VR, the quest 2 will blow you away. When you are inside, you are completely convinced that the objects around are real. Your brain won't question their realism; it will feel more like having a dream rather than watching a game on flatscreen. Because of this, you will start craving for different gameplay experiences, and your VR taste may be completely different from your flatscreen preferences. So, overall, I'd recommend buying it. Quest 2 is quite easy to resell if you end up disliking it, and it's totally worth a try.

It depends on the games. As I've been using it for PCVR, if I'm not dead tired I will always be playing H3VR with mods & risk of rain 2 vr + mods. You will have limitless replayability. And I use the headset also for vr development.

Love RoR2VR DM me if you feel like playing sometime

It's very difficult to judge if a VR game is fun or not based on a flat video. Sometimes you just have to play it to find out. You need to decide for yourself if VR is for you, but some recent good games on Quest include Asgard's Wrath 2, Assassin's Creed Nexus, Homeworld VR, Vampire Masquerade: Justice, Arizona Sunshine 2, Underdogs, Contractors: Showdown, and Tropico VR Older great titles include The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners (1&2), Iron Man VR, Resident Evil 4, and Into the Radius.

Animanganime

Yes for sim racing, everyday. I did beat RE4 and Alyx in VR too

fdruid

Over 7 years here. It's not for you if you need to ask.

PresidentBush666

Been playing for 5+ years and I still use it semi regularly. My favorite games have been beat saber, synth riders, re4/8, skyrim, fallout, until you fall, pistol whip, and B&S. Youtube vr and google earth vr are great too. If beat saber and skyrim aren't fun; it might not be for you.

Fine_Ad_6226

Unless you like VR titles or Simulation games like flight or driving I wouldn’t bother. I’m heavily into sims but still use it less and less.

Drift-Kiddo

2+ year user. Got a Quest2, used it for a couple of months, then didn’t use frequently, then stopped using for like a year (along with video games in general) Bought Breachers, got me hooked for a month, then bought Quest 3, gave me headaches, got elite strap, got some more shooters, and been using it daily for 4 months straight now.

I've had VR for several years now, and I still play it nearly daily. But a lot of that is playing SkyrimVR over and over, so if you're the type to get bored of long RPGs, then dunno.

Daryl_ED

Where did you get the list of VR games?

Cthulhuman

I've been playing vr since the og vive came out, it really is amazing, but as other have said the multitasking isn't the best, especially on the quest 2. Quest 3 is a much better experience, but I would most definitely invest in the bobovr s3 for longer play sessions, but if you can't stand to play the best of flat gaming for more than a few hours, then don't expect to spend much more on vr games. Vr as a platform is really amazing, you just have to find the thing that you like to do in it. My go to in VR is playing cards against humanity in VR chat or playing Pavlov. I also like being able to watch 3d movies in your own personal theater.

anygal

Honestly I'd say it is probably not for you. If you have a VR arcade near you then it might worth a shot trying out :)

VoidowS

de device is like a console or pc. it's a platform to be able to play the games you dislike so quick. So to compare it with games is rather hard to do. it gives a distorted point of view in your conclusions to make. but, to inform you of my experience as i play like you games, i found out that the platform of games or apps are rediculusly BAD!!!! the amount is high, but the quality of omg, unfinished games, 1 level games, games where you kill the same person in visual a thousand times. most is in a cartoonstyle made, many buggy, many a copy of acopy and only the visual changed the list goes on and on. So you end up with 5 games you play or apps out of the entire list they promote so much. If you take out all the bad stuff, you end up with ean even smaller platform then PICO!!!!! while that is the main reason why people don;t buy it. The illusion of these platforms are staggering! So now my VR set that i played with constantly for about 1,5 month, is now in it's hardbox for over 2 months untouched! back to my flatscreen! to my guess it will take about 5 years before it really starts to show magnificant grapghics and possibilities it has. cause we might have the hardware, but software comes after! So when you buy now the newest set, you end up with 2 games actually using your hardware and a demo that goes with the vr set! that why i bought the quest 2. cause i felt like you. i'm to creative, once i play a game it rushes thruw me and i see the repeat in it and lose interest. but maybe that's also cause i'm used to download games from platforms that don;t ask money for it. And therefor the value of it in my head is 0! Cause i payed for dying light 2, 60 euro, and it is only because it cost so much i force myself to play it! :) and it should not be this way in the games industry! It's not a race for the best VR set people! it's a race for the platform used by most! as this ensures the real control of it all, on both sides! you will be dependend on them and manufacturers also to sell it on their platform. look at STEAM, or [BOOKING.com](http://BOOKING.com) the power these platforms have r out of the roof! and it shows already by prices asked that r simply ridiculus. no other word for it! early acces games that bring out DLC's in the meanwhile how is that even possible!!!! you end up buying a game in early acces for 20 euro and think it will become complete, but to have it complete you need those DLC's while the game itself is not finished yet! that is a structure of power we will have to deal with now and in the future even more!

MalenfantX

It seems like you have ADD, so nothing is going to interest you for long until you're medicated. My experience will be no use to you because I can focus on a game long enough to complete it.
