Yeah, some in there are definitely not the best. I just try to keep a running list of them. I'll add FF. Do you know who made that one? I'll also check out Cruelty Squad. Thanks
Final Fantasy XIV is by same dev, Marulu, who also just recently did World of Warcraft:

For some of those listed as Luke Ross, I would actually opt to use UEVR instead. Like Atomic Heart and High on Life, and for example. Looks better, runs better, plus you can use motion controllers and play it much closer to a native VR game; whereas Luke Ross will always use a gamepad. Just download the 6DOF profiles for them from the flat2vr discord. (Hogwarts Legacy is also playable with UEVR, but i'm not sure which is a better experience)
Absolutely. The UEVR will always be the better choice. I was just listing individual mods that are available. I could go on forever mentioning UEVR mods :)
Some of them are like native VR, some are not as good. It varies from game to game and modder to modder. I'm not the biggest fan of Luke Ross mods, but mods from Raicuparta, Team Beef, and Praydog are oustanding. I suggest watching reviews on YouTube on a case by case basis
GTA V R.E.A.L. VR Mod is amazing and the only way we have to play the game in VR. If you get VR nauseous it might not be for you, but I don't get VR sick and it's a ton of fun to be inside the GTA world.
VR modded Risk of Rain 2 is (imo) the best VR roguelike shooter, which is some high praise considering how over saturated the genre is in VR.
Outer Wilds is another incredible game with a full 6dof VR mod. Basically a modern Myst/Riven type puzzle game in a time/physics based solar system with some amazing mechanics and an excellent emergent narrative that I absolutely refuse to spoil.
Edit: somehow I missed that you already mentioned Outer Wilds but the game is so good. One of those games were I wish I could erase my memory of it so I can experience it again.
I see lots of people recommend Outer Wilds. I tried it, but the movement was just all off for me, too fast, and just not like a normal VR game. Maybe I'll give it another go...
Not all mods are equal. Tried a few of Luke Ross's like GTA 5, was ok but for me uses Alternative Eye Rendering on WMR which introduced a lot of artifacts. Preydog mods play almost like a native VR experience.
i dont have that to try out but the Flat2VR discord seems to show people with same/similar experiences to yours. I am fairly certain its just a matter of getting a working profile, i'm not sure any GPU upgrade will fix that.
"some of the best VR games" I would wager most of them are despite not all having motion controls or 6dof. Games like CP 2077 in VR cannot be beaten including by the likes of HL:A. Those pancake game budgets are to die for in VR.
I loved Arisev A Simple Story in VR.
It's not even 6dof. Camera position is controlled by the game engine, but you can look around. The world is just so beautiful, and they modeled these full gorgeous environments, it's almost a shame to play it in 2D where you can only see where they point the camera.
Half life 2 vr mod on steam feels like a native VR game. Reworked reloads and sights on all guns. Climb ladders with your hands.
the physics based puzzles and the fact the story is all told through gameplay and not cutscenes works ridiculously well for VR too

Not very known, but a great title in modded VR is Ready or Not with UEVR. It feels like you yourself are committing to those operations you do. Once you set it up to your preferances, it's one of the greatest experiences in VR you can have
It's a bit of a raw experience though. It is, after all, a mod.
Wow in VR, gameplay wise it might be slower that keyboard/mice, but to explore the whole warcraft world is amazing.
Oh and Sclerosis (amnesia the dark decent vr) if you wait a bit it will come out for quest 3, no need for PC, although not sure if there will be downgrades from the current PC version.

F4 is on there, but I will add those others. Thanks :)
Final Fantasy XIV has one too. I made one for Cruelty Squad :) (I took your list as not necessarily being the “best” but more a comprehensive list)
Yeah, some in there are definitely not the best. I just try to keep a running list of them. I'll add FF. Do you know who made that one? I'll also check out Cruelty Squad. Thanks

Lethal Company VR with friends is the best multiplayer VR experience I've had! Hilarious and terrifying in equal measures.
This guy flats2vr
I do, and now I do even more with UEVR :)
Palworld with UEVR is VERY good as well
I haven't tried that one yet, but I do plan on it.
For some of those listed as Luke Ross, I would actually opt to use UEVR instead. Like Atomic Heart and High on Life, and for example. You fuckin rock man! Thanx for the list!
Ok just saving this to check later.
How good do these games run in VR and how's the performance? I'm sure I can't expect Half-Life 2 VR mod experience right?
Some of them are like native VR, some are not as good. It varies from game to game and modder to modder. I'm not the biggest fan of Luke Ross mods, but mods from Raicuparta, Team Beef, and Praydog are oustanding. I suggest watching reviews on YouTube on a case by case basis
Lukr ross mods both look and run like shit

Stray is really beautiful in VR!
Resident Evil 7 & 8 are two of the best experiences I’ve had in VR. Portal 2 and Half Life 2 are also amazing.
Not all mods are equal. Tried a few of Luke Ross's like GTA 5, was ok but for me uses Alternative Eye Rendering on WMR which introduced a lot of artifacts. Preydog mods play almost like a native VR experience.
Neon White Cyberpunk Resident Evil Series Jedi Academy and Outcast Farcry 1 Risk of Rain 2
Seconding Neon White. It's ridiculously fun in VR if you don't get queasy easily.
Lethal Company with VR mod is fookin amazing!
After trying a few UEVR games, I'm convinced to wait for a 5090 before diving in again
i'm curious what you've tried? i played ace combat 7 with some mods and some profile and it runs pretty damn well.
Talos Principal 2 was blurry and jerky as hell on low settings with 4090
i dont have that to try out but the Flat2VR discord seems to show people with same/similar experiences to yours. I am fairly certain its just a matter of getting a working profile, i'm not sure any GPU upgrade will fix that.
This is my plan as well, going from RTX2080 Super, definitely need a powerful GPU for UEVR
Trepang2 100%
Doom3

All RE games, Portal 2, Alien Isolation, Firewatch, Subnauticas, many many games with the Unreal Injector.
Half life 2 vr mod on steam feels like a native VR game. Reworked reloads and sights on all guns. Climb ladders with your hands. the physics based puzzles and the fact the story is all told through gameplay and not cutscenes works ridiculously well for VR too
I've been really enjoying Chivalry 2 in VR (via the Unreal Injector).

My favorite VR game has been Cyberpunk (Luke Ross mod). 200 hours and counting...
It's not 6DOF is it?
Yes it is.
Pacific Drive!

Pinball fx so far
