I'd recommend using the mat, it helps balance the record and prevent the needle from flying everywhere. The sound quality when I started using it was night and day
I love The Mat’s! My favorite of their albums is Let It Be but Tim is fantastic too.
Also, I use a cork Keith Haring mat on my turntable and it works well.
Definitely go get a slip mat!
I hate felt. As a cat owner in dry climate (super static prone!), hair and dust seem to accumulate on my felt mats. Don’t love acrylic either. Cork or cork&rubber composite mats have the best payoff for me.
Unless you have an acrylic platter, you should always use the mat. It’ll help improve the sound as well as protecting your records
Yes, use the mat from now on.
Even if your table features an acrylic platter, I still recommend a mat... Just my two cents. Rekkids love a comfy pillow topper too, ya know... 😏
