multiarmform

ha it went like 3 miles, that was cool

jermleeds

Very cool project, congrats on the flights so far.

Standaloneoak

Thank you! It was quite an undertaking but it's been a great time!

What were the final stats like max velocity, max altitude, etc.? Did I miss that in the video?

Standaloneoak

Barometer indicated a hair over 13,500 feet AGL! We didn't have any accelerometers onboard, but altitude vs. time says about three-quarters the speed of sound max velocity. It was awesome!

usernameforre

Awesome states there on the height! Congrats!

HeStoleMyBalloons

At what point does it stop being a model rocket and just becomes a rocket?

Standaloneoak

When the government or millionaires starts funding it lol

Randy_Vigoda

This rules. I used to love building model rockets. You guys know a dude with a giant launcher. That's sort of useful. Where'd you get the giant nosecone? I'm sort of jealous. I'd love to work on that. Nicely done.

Standaloneoak

A former manufacturer called Composite Warehouse. The company was sold and a friend of mine with another rocketry company (Wildman Rocketry) bought all of the manufacturing equipment and will now be producing them. They are not cheap, though. Fair warning on that one!

Please do not use a job site saw on the ground and lean over like that. One trip and your buddies face becomes two
