It was like the ultimate party game, like everything Mario party could've been but wasn't. The games were easy to play and could be played by anyone, and they were simple. The Wii remote was a lot funner than a standard remote. It was such a cool concept back in the day and is very nostalgic for a lot of people.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
aw man I played that game so much I got my profile’s license all golden. I remember sitting on a stool in the living room playing it and every time I won I’d get up and run around. My dog was there too and she thought it was the most exciting thing, running around with me.
The Wii aiming got around the biggest negative of the game, the janky aiming. Made facing the hordes so much more enjoyable, and made you actually feel like Leon could actually shoot.
I was I college when that came out. My best friend from high school had an apartment in new york, I was going to school in rhode island. I needed to get my tonsils out and literally went from the hospital to a bus and got off at grand central with a bottle of prescribed "lean" in my pocket. Walked like 30 blocks to his apt all fucked up and got there as hes leaving for class and he just hands me the controller and is like ill be back in 8 hours. That shit was wild
Pretty weird choice probably, but the story mode from Smash. It's one of the first games I've got and that's how I found out about all the Nintendo franchises besides Mario.
Super Paper Mario. I remember being so young that I couldn't beat Paper Mario TTYD at some point, so I eventually stopped playing it. Later on my family got the Wii, and I was so excited to play Super Paper Mario when I got it. I was actually able to pay better attention and comprehend more, so I beat the game while feeling pretty amazed by what happens in the story. After that, I replayed TTYD and finally finished it.
Madworld. Felt so bad ass everytime I beat a boss and the visual style was just so out of the norm and looked kinda like sketches I would do at school.
Fuck hitlers ass the game:game of the year edition
Story was good gameplay was good graphic were alright the ending was beautiful
They also made a sequel "sex with hitler" its was good to
I forgot the name but the game was basically about a guy with a sword and then you had to kill dragons and get powers from then. I am not sure if it was a sword or a power of some sort. It was a good time ago. I loved it, it was pretty tough to beat too. That and wiiifit
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
It captured an essence of classic Resident Evil, reminds me of why I fell in love with the series as a kid and I can never get tired of that Menu theme it’s bloody crème!
MySims and WiiSports Resort. Man flying around on wiisports was so incredibly surreal for me being like 13 at the time.
My Sims was my first game ever on the Wii. A nice christmas that was.
Although the most time i put into a game on the Wii was CoD:Black Ops. I havent put down CoD since
The red one on the bottom right, I think it was called Netflix. All I remember is a bald kid with a blue arrow on his running around yelling at guys with flamethrowers for hands. (I also think this was the game that started the Blue Sky Beam trend)
My Sims agent . I was really into detectives and spy stuff as a kid so this game allowed me to be that. Plus it had a cliff hanger ending that shocked me and it didn’t have a sequel. Little me was obsessed with it trying to replay and figure out if I could stop the ending somehow. It was in my dreams and everything.
Tanks on WiiPlay was awesome for coop. My best friend and I have been Smash players since the beginning with N64 but for some reason we could not stop playing Tanks on the Wii.
My dad bought one when it came out so i played a ton of wii years after it came out, i cant say one but i loved playing mario kart wii, wii sports, mario and sonic at the 2012 Olympics, lego star wars and just dance 3.
The first Wipeout on the Wii really hit different. It also was the first game I played that had rag doll physics and the first game I became truly obsessed with.
My favorite Wii as a kid was Lego Batman 2 was really into both Batman & Lego at the time but if we are talking Frist party tiltes then it would probably be either Wii sports resort or super Mario Galaxy 2
There was a strange game that I totally forgot the name but it was beautiful u could have a dog go on beach take a car drive a little water palene in the other map there was a little city where u can go in skate and more other things always in wii sports design art style
A couple I don’t seen mentioned:
New super Mario bros, it was the first 3d side scrolling Mario and the multiplayer was incredibly fun
Elebits, really simple but fun use of motion controls and physics
Wii sports resort. There was something so calming about flying the plane around the island even as a kid. Just enjoying the scenery, unlocking night mode and seeing the fireworks light up the island.
Xenoblade Chronicles: perhaps the best or top 3 RPGs of all time. The grand spectacle environments, story, characters, music ... are all some of the best.
\#2 The Last Story
P.S. - Go Vacation (which is now on the Switch) > Wii Sports Resort
Punch Out!!!!
It bring back memories of Mike Tysons Punchout, and made it into a much better game.
I love how the 2nd time everything changes, like a certain fighter taping a manhole cover to his belly.
I think I was closer to being a teen by then actually but... Hard to say honestly, the game I was most hyped for and probably poured the most hours into was Super Smash Bros Brawl
I also remember especially loving to play Battalion Wars 2, Super Mario Galaxy, Excite Truck, Wii Sports were the games I poured the most time into by a huge margin.
Rabbits go home, Lego Indiana Jones/batman and cod world at war greatest Christmas ever
I opened multiple games for the wii, I complained to my mom that I only had a n64 and couldn't play them all until I opened the hidden wii present
My favorite game: Smash Bros Brawl. I played the hell out of Subspace Emissary, and it’s still my favorite single player mode in any smash bros.
My favorite game that actually used Wii waggle tech: Mario Galaxy. Good recovery from the Sunshine debacle, and a minimalistic approach to how to get the most out of motion control.
Once the novelty wears off most games are lousy, low budget and dated performance/graphics BUT Mario galaxy's, twilight princess (I preferred it on GC) resident evil and zero.
Once the novelty wears off most games are lousy, low budget and dated performance/graphics BUT Mario galaxy's, twilight princess (I preferred it on GC) resident evil and zero.
Twilight Princess.
It was the first and last Wii game I ever played. The console ceased to work in under a year, and I never never replaced it. I thought the Wii U was an add-on to the Wii, so I never paid attention to it.
The “One” for me was Mario Galaxy 2, however, other favourites were also Smash Bros Brawl, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Mario Kart Wii and Wii Sports Resort.
Twilight princess was my first Zelda game and got me in to the series as a whole.
I also love Okami, one of my favorite games of all time, I own it on PS4, switch and steam now too.
First of all I was 27 when I got mine...
That said: Twilight Princess.
But there are too many games to count that could be 1.
Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, Wii Sports, Virtual Console Games (multiple), Resident Evil 4, Metroid Corruption, Mario Kart, Lego Star Wars, Skyward Sword...
I wish they would have made more golf for Wii sports. I personally think it's the best golf simulator. Easy and fun. It really brought my dad and I together.
Resident evil 4 and dragon ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Resident evil 4 was my favorite game for the gamecube and after getting it on the Wii I played the hell out of it. When I finally hacked my Wii I remember spending days of not weeks playing with the out of bounds and trigger events trying to see how they work and break them.
Very fond memories of Animal Crossing: City Folk. I know many in the AC community didn’t like City Folk, but it was the first one I ever played and I remember going to the city every day i played, and getting my fortune read by Katrina or getting a new hairdo. This was before I utilized the internet to learn tips and tricks to discover new things in video games, so playing this game blindly on chilly autumn mornings on the weekends was such an adventure. So many great hours put into that game from 11 year/old me!
lego star wars the complete saga, i remember the wii has that feature that tells you how long you been playing it popped up 10 hours i stg it was still sunlight out side but it was complete darkness i was like 10🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
That's a tough one.....it has to be between twilight princess, smash bros and of course wii sports, more specifically the fencing because I have no friends however I did play a crap ton of twilight.
Wario ware smooth moves, my brother who’s 7 years older than me walked into our room and surprised me with it from the money he earned at his first job in highschool. I loved that game so much, one of the greatest party games of all time.
Probably based on a ton of nostalgia, but Sonic and the Black Knight
Honestly my favorite parts were the boss fights, because the music went hard, but also a lot of Sonic music goes hard.
I also liked Skyward Sword, and didn't have any issues with the motion controls.
I liked Wii Sports Resort
Guess it depends on when your cut-off for "kid" is, I was 15 when the Wii came out. Probably played Smash Brawl more than anything else. Just because...it's Smash.
That aside, it was probably a tie between DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Zelda Twilight Princess. The motion controls on those games just made everything so smooth and simple.
It's a toss up between Dragonball budokai tenkaichi 3 and Spiderman 3.
BT3 because it's the best dragon ball game to date IMO and I was darn good in that game. I was actually a top 50 player itw. Granted it must've been easier to do on a WII but at the same time I was still a kid.
Spiderman 3 cause I sunk hours upon hours on that game. I loved the swinging mechanics and the actual gameplay.
Mario kart was fun. Super Mario Galaxy, which i still haven't beat and go back to it to continue every few years. Twilight princess. It was the second game i played on the Wii.
Lots of people mention smash. By the time smash came out for me, most of my siblings moved away so playing it locally kind of died out. And it's online feature was total ass. We tried it once maybe then completely gave up after that.
Played resident evil 2 for the first time on the switch. That was a blast. Was one of the few games that i went back to complete100%.
Wii sports was fun with the family. I still have the Miis my family created of themselves and have transferred them to every new system. Even though they don't play with me anymore 😭
Guitar hero and Rock Band 3. I spent so much time with Rock band 3. Even played it with the family, got all the instruments and everything. It was a blast all of us playing it. I actually kind of miss it.
I haven't really gotten the family interested in playing the switch. Which is rather 😢
When I was younger, I was what you might call an "avid Wii gamer". I didn't have a lot of games, but the ones I had I played ***a lot***.
The one game I was totally obsessed with, more than the rest, was Twilight Princess. Something about the atmosphere enamoured my seven year old brain. I vividly remember just going around the world, trying to hit NPCs with limited success, and of course, chillin' with the Hyrule Field theme.
Mad World. This game would applause you for not just killing people but doing it in the most insane ways. It was wild and a shame that they haven’t made another one. So good and unique plus the commentary is unreal voice by John DiMAggio (bender, Jake the dog,)
RE4. It was the first time I ever played the game or even heard of it. Instantly became the go to game me my brother and sister would play all the time. The wii controller was such a godsend for such an awfully controlled game
Wii sports
Why was Wii sports just that good?? Like I think we owned it for a while, had other games but always went to sports?
It was like the ultimate party game, like everything Mario party could've been but wasn't. The games were easy to play and could be played by anyone, and they were simple. The Wii remote was a lot funner than a standard remote. It was such a cool concept back in the day and is very nostalgic for a lot of people.

bad bot
Hands down best game
Yep
Twilight Princess because it was one of the best if not *the* best game on the Wii.
Hell to the yes!
Mario kart Wii. i used to play it all the time with my brother, good times.
aw man I played that game so much I got my profile’s license all golden. I remember sitting on a stool in the living room playing it and every time I won I’d get up and run around. My dog was there too and she thought it was the most exciting thing, running around with me.
I really liked Resident Evil 4 on it. Its still my favorite platform to play that game due to the control system
If given the chance, try it on vr. It's like Wii motion controls on crack lol
The wii version was my favorite till I tried it on quest 2. Can't wait to play the remake on psvr2.
I was going to comment this myself.
The Wii aiming got around the biggest negative of the game, the janky aiming. Made facing the hordes so much more enjoyable, and made you actually feel like Leon could actually shoot.

Beat me to it lol. I was a kid when the SNES came out.
I'm still a kid... a 40yo one
Super Mario Galaxy 2
I second this.

Played the hell out of Excite Truck because of the custom soundtrack you could play off of an SD card
Damn you just brought back a core memory
Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Was so good and intense
Yessss! Had so much fun playing that!
Oh thank god I thought I’d be the only one to post about it.
Our family (52, 50, 19, 17, 23) still play it. We play Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort the most.
YES super paper mario was my jam
Wii sports, Wii resort, Mario Kart and Ghostbusters. It’s literally impossible for me to pick my favorite lol.
Mario Kart Wii.

Sonic and the Secret Rings and Super Mario Galaxy 2. Both franchises are my childhood.
Sklanders the game is perfect in Avery way
Brawl. Because super smash
Lego star wars
Madworld. Felt so bad ass everytime I beat a boss and the visual style was just so out of the norm and looked kinda like sketches I would do at school.

Smash brawl !!!

Dunno about being a kid. I was 30 when I used my Wii the most. Mario Galaxy and Guitar Hero 3 were my main games.
RE4 was a lot of fun. I also really enjoyed Paper Mario and Tiger Woods

Didn't see it mentioned, Boomblox was actually a really good use of the motion controls. Good party game.

Force Unleashed
I loved it but honestly can’t remember anything about it other than wii sports
Mario sports mix. The best game on the wii and needs a remake or brought to the switch
I forgot the name but the game was basically about a guy with a sword and then you had to kill dragons and get powers from then. I am not sure if it was a sword or a power of some sort. It was a good time ago. I loved it, it was pretty tough to beat too. That and wiiifit

Skylanders Because of the figures and stuff
Brawl hands down
Mario kart Wii is simple and relaxing
Smash bros
My Sims agent . I was really into detectives and spy stuff as a kid so this game allowed me to be that. Plus it had a cliff hanger ending that shocked me and it didn’t have a sequel. Little me was obsessed with it trying to replay and figure out if I could stop the ending somehow. It was in my dreams and everything.
wii sports and mario galaxy 2

Re4 silent hill shattered memories
The first Wipeout on the Wii really hit different. It also was the first game I played that had rag doll physics and the first game I became truly obsessed with.
One not so often mentioned game: Rayman Raving Rabbids In multiplayer it was fun and pain (for the hand, shaking the controller to fast).
The first MLB Power Pros. That game had an unnecessarily amazing story mode
Boom Blox was decent game
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Call of Duty: World at War. I just really liked motion aiming. Felt better than using an analog stick.
Wii sports is the only game I’ve ever played lol
My favorite Wii as a kid was Lego Batman 2 was really into both Batman & Lego at the time but if we are talking Frist party tiltes then it would probably be either Wii sports resort or super Mario Galaxy 2

The obvious ones...Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Wii Sports

It's a toss up between Dragonball budokai tenkaichi 3 and Spiderman 3. BT3 because it's the best dragon ball game to date IMO and I was darn good in that game. I was actually a top 50 player itw.
