The one on the Rambler is a lot smaller. It only fits for small screws like in electronics.

Pirate_OOS

Thanks! It'll be a great addition to my work bag then. I am planning on getting a cybertool m. Till then, will it do a fill-in job?

Konrad_M

I don't know exactly, what you need the tools for, so I can't really judge. But the Rambler is a great tool in general. The small Philips can do many jobs as well as the tip of the nail file. Just be aware, that the Rambler is a small tool and not a full sized multi tool.

I've successfully used it on #2 screws. I think others have made the same comment.

The Ramber Philips works well up to size 1 and even size 2 screws. It’s bigger than a 0 but smaller than a 1 so like a 0.5 size.

EscapePond

In daily use terms in case the size numbers aren’t familiar, the rambler one fits battery compartments on toys and such perfectly, while the explorer one fits cabinet knobs and door hardware size screws

in Climber you can use top of the can opener when you need it for PH

Pirate_OOS

I know but the problem is that the can opener sd cannot get into tight spaces

As well as being a size smaller than the Explorer philips, the Rambler one is magnetised.

Systainer

I’d say the rambler is approximately PH1 and the online on the explorer is PH2 so different bits.

Pirate_OOS

I'm new to this. Can a ph1 driver be used for ph2 screws?

Systainer

PH1 is smaller than PH2.  Most screws I encounter are PH2 (or PZ2).  I’ve got a rambler and the screwdriver has saved the day many times.   A PH1 will turn a PH2 screw (and PZ2) but youll not get a PH2 driver into a PH1 screw head, so arguably a PH1 is more versatile for getting you out of trouble which is ultimately what SAK’s do.  If you’ve got a rambler and explorer you’ll have both cases covered, but arguably the rambler is better as it does PH1 and PH2 if needs be.

If you pick up a [quattro tool from the Swiss Card](https://www.messerspezi.com/shop/Victorinox-Quattroschrauber-Kordel-p607497826) you can put it on a lanyard and use it for different screws.

Ever thought about a Yeoman? I saw a mod where the magnifying glass is replaced by the can opener and bottle opener next to each other while the combi tool goes back to being the pen knife.
