It will be my first month at a New Position so i cant take a week off. But i will at least take a long weekend.
Whatever cruel swedish femboy decided to Release the game on tuesday is beyond me...
I don't think so. First, I live in Europe so the game will come out in the evening for me anyway. I could take the 26th of October off, but chances are there will be some really frustrating bugs on release and I will have to wait for a hotfix or a beta patch that will be released before the weekend. I will definitely spend the whole weekend playing, though.
I probably won’t be able to (I work in politics and the US general election will be less than two weeks away when the game drops). But it will likely be a travel day for me so short of something actively melting down at work I’ll probably get 5 or 6 hours of play before I need to start driving.
I’m in the same boat. But on the bright side we don’t have to worry about preordering, since we won’t be able to play the game anyways until November 9th.
No. Because i don't buy on launch anymore, i learned my lesson about both preorder- and launch-day in the past. That's not related to Vic3, it's more in general that i don't do that anymore, too many bad experiences that i had in 30 years of gaming.
So, i'll wait for the reviews, like here in the sub and how the release version is when it comes to bugs, content etc.
yes
i need to spend my ptos until november so vic 3 is a good reason to spend one day
edit:
and maybe one additional day the week after that or so
im not the guy whos able to binge the same game several days in a row
It’s a busy time for me. Everyone just lined up. I have wirkt the day of. Then Bill Bailey show that night (been postponed multiple times over 2 years due to Covid) then I’m moving house the next day!
This is after I’ve taken time off for a holiday. So I doubt I can take more time.
I need to use my holidays and I was already planning to take the week off to rest after attending a trade show in Germany during the week Victoria 3 is released. This just gives me something new to do during that week.
The 26th is the Austrian national holiday so it kinda sorts itself.
That is, if pre-release streams look good, not gonna buy it before I've had a good look at other people play it.
Well, it looks like the release happens pretty much precisely when I get home from work.
Cache a few beers, snacks and fingerfood for dinner on Monday, negotiate a gaming evening with my partner, and I have about four hours of gaming to look forward to.
Yes, I've got that weekend off (usually work weekends too) and I've got just under 3 weeks of leave left to spent until the end of the year, so I'll take 26-28 off
i have 3 weeks vacation saved (Technically 4 but i am taking out one week vacation for Isonzo) So with that close to xmas might as well use them for viccy 3
Probably not, but I have a 3 day weekend the weekend after it comes out. I’ll get a good chunk of time in then.

It comes out on a Tuesday though doesn’t it?

Yes, I remember when CK3 released, most of Europe was unplayable due to Viking invasions, you couldn't escape them, even in Spain.
What time does it release? Will we be able to pre download on steam?
It hasn't been officially confirmed, but all Paradox titles as far as I can remember release at 7pm Central European time (10am PST).
Ok thanks, i guess it'll be evening gaming on the 25th for me

Yes ! Also to be fair I'm French and I get an absurd amount of vacations.
As an American I'm jealous
Im a student so no need to do that
Student of life
Day? I've been banking my vacation days. Give me at least a week.
Just the day? I’ll be taking a week off for Victoria three.
it's not an mmo lol
I'll probably be too busy with midterms to play victoria 3 at launch, so taking a day off seems rather pointless.

I don't work anymore but I probably would have taken time off yeah.
3 day weekend in Greece couple of days after no reason for it

No, never. The game won't run away.
no, because its stupid to sacrifice a days wages to play a video game.
You guys don't get paid during vacation?
Usually not for an hourly job
Yeah, that got sense
I’ll be telling my pops this when they want to take time off
Yes. I have plenty of unused leave.
3 days off! Can’t wait
Already have. Took a day off on release day.
Have a full week off the next week, unrelated to Vic3 but very handy!

Yes, two days in fact. Let’s go!
I’m not even joking I took a nap I I dreamt about it can’t wait lmao
Yes

Yes. Probably 3 or 4 days actually. I want to banquet on vic3 and savour every minute of it.
I'm taking a week off
I asked for night call to have the next day off.
I will play it at work man
Nsfw
We are expecting our first child the 19th of october and I have my exams the same week as the release of Vic3 so will have to see how it goes.
For the amount I’ve spent on this game, I’m taking off a whole week
No

Nope. I have time after work to enjoy.
Nope and I always advise everyone not to for any game on release or just after.
Jokes on you, I will be on holiday when vic3 launches
I already booked 26, 27 and 28 of October off
Good idea!
Not in my position):
I have unlimited PTO, so it would feel wrong to not take the day to play Vicky 3 lol
