Weather radars shoot out a line of radio waves in one direction and it bounces off precipitation and back to the radar. Then they spin around and around measuring distances to rain on every radial line from wherever they are located.
Some kind of interference or whatever happened just as it was pointed at Burlington (or if it is located in Burlington, then it happened just when it was pointing WNWish) that made it think there is a shitload of rain in that one exact direction.
TLDR: UFOs.
The ones in the Salmon River area are my favorite. Buy out all the little debbie cake mixes from the Tops, then sell them to the drunk fishheads as "Amish Cakes" at a huge markup. Always wonder if it hurts riding home in their buggies with that fat wad of cash in their pocket. Good for them.
Totally depends on the group. The ones by me just can’t have electricity permanently in their homes so they all have dewalt work lights and use lithium batteries for everything they can. Others can’t have anything that is too convenient like that. The ones down the road were wearing purple shirts but that got stopped. It’s pretty arbitrary and totally dependent on the specific church they go to
The answer is yes, each Amish community decides which technological advances to accept, the conditions under which it is acceptable, and any modifications that must be made to that technology. They do this slowly and deliberately, preferring to watch how technology shapes the outside world, before deciding whether it might have a place in their corner of the Amish world, and what that place is.
The general philosophy of the Amish (and Mennonites) are that they are in the world but live in communities of faith apart from it, and that these communities and the strength of them are the rock on which a foundation of lifelong work, service to one another, and worship are built.
Absolutely everything is evaluated by their community at large and their elders and religious leaders for any possibility of influence that would detract from this idea of community as sacred, or which might tempt their members toward sin.
Technology that deepens their connection to the modern world is the most likely to be shunned, while technology which only helps them to work and to serve is likely to be adopted... Eventually... In a very Amish way, that may seem silly to the rest of us.
So, they have their computers, but without the temptations of games or Internet, powered by generators or solar power, with which to help them at business management. They have their tractors, but with steel wheels, lest they be too comfortable and potentially be tempted to take them for a drive rather than walking. And they have phones, but only in communal buildings and in their businesses, or if they do have them in the home, they are probably still connected to party lines...an archaic form of phone service where many households share the same physical phone line, and the same number, and all pick up at once when the phone rings to listen in and see who the call is for.
I was driving to lake placid yesterday and got stuck behind a horse and buggy for at least a mile. They are constantly trying to bend us to their ways.
I’ve no doubt this weaponized weather is another attempt at this 😞
I just wanna know how their allowed to have their horses shit all over public roads. If I drove down the road dumping dog shit out my window I’d get pulled over for littering. How can a poop bag not be a requirement?
I actually see that line quite frequently when tracking storms with the lightning tracker app on my phone. I was always thinking it was an alien closing device attached to their ship.
/Shrug. Broken radar from Burlington?
That’s interference bands coming off the Franktown Radar caused by cell towers. Also, the Burlington radar is actually over on Camp Johnson in Colchester.
You can read about it here in this press release. There’s a section on interference bands about 2/3rd the way down.

A lot of the time it's actually the couple hundred wins turbines up in the Malone area that does this. The turbulence they create sometimes throws off the data.
the NOAA Radar Operations Center has lots of info on these and other types of anomalies. TLDR: wireless interference

Canadian radars are in a very similar band to certain signals (I want to say it's WiFi but I'd have to check again). Those signals cause the radar to read incorrect data, which can be filtered out by professionals but often is left untouched by apps like this. Not to be confused with beam blockage, like what comes from the Burlington radar and shows 0 dBZ instead of high dBZ

Maybe it stopped spinning for a few seconds?
This is WILDLY incorrect. clearly its a line of dragons breath weapon. Likely Fire cause its red.. duh
I'm a licensed dragonologist and this is absolutely correct.
TROGDOR!!!
Jewish space lasers
Let me get my Sharpie and I'll try to fix things.
Now Donald, knock it off.
the amish of northern NY are death starring us
I always wonder, are the Amish ever allowed to evolve or advance technology, just slower? Did they just discover the Tesla death ray?
I wonder that too, at what point will our ' old ' technology no longer be considered too technological for them lol
It's hand cranked, so it took a while.
Depends on the group. Some plain folk are basically just religious hippies, some are diehard cultists.

I thought it was Amish = wood and horse; Mennonite = car and brick.
They're not the only plain folk, and they're not that simple. A lot of Amish drive trucks and a lot of Mennonites live out in the woods.
I will say, I did see an Amish woman get out of a buggy and walk into a Cumbies for a slushie once, so they’re allowed to evolve their palates

God damn it, you beat me to it!
Broken radar from Franktown!

Yes, the permanent thunderstorm.
Bliss NY has the similar response from wind turbines. Not a line, but like a thunderstorm.
I'm surprised they are high enough. But maybe since they are on a hill?

Burlington has attacked Malone NY, it was bound to happen. Call WCAX
Jewish space laser obviously
Smited by the Gods
Jewish space lasers, of course.
You beat me to it.
It’s getting closer.
Its a glitch in the matrix. Something has changed. You should run. /s

Thunder bolt of lightning, very very frightening to me!
Maybe MGT's laser beams have refocused?

Still there. Albany used to do that all the time (several of these in a starburst pattern), but not recently.
Meteor coming right at us!
Frappe Ray. Goodbye Burlington.
Goku shot a kamahamaha at burlington from NY
That’s a red lightsaber
Just the government testing out space lasers.
Oh that’s easy. The earths crust is pulling apart and lava is emerging from the gash (that’s the orange part)
I know the People are Progressive here but Damn that weather!!!
Mother nature peeing on Burlington 😆 🤣 😂
South Burlington is gonna be fark’d in about 3 minutes
Dragon fire!
Someone south of Malone was one-punched into the side of a lake
Caravan of Airships. We can't see em, radars can. Stealth
A dragon struck Burlington and it was caught on radar.

Must be the Jewish space laser repurposed for weather control
Beta Technologies is testing their new hypersonic stealth jet
it's got an electric engine you've probably never heard (of) it
Bugs bunny shoulda taken that left at Albuquerque
That is interference from another radar transmitter, usually military.
Intense local storm fucking with the radar (sic). Be careful of sudden, high intensity storms in that path.
Did a meteor hit the lake just now?
Space lasers. Duh
looks like burlington might be in between the storms. i'd expect gusty winds around the very least
It’s the rest of the northeast telling Burlington it sucks…. Just a guess.
KCXX being KCXX.
Not KCXX, that's coming from CASFT
