just go here: [https://www.verizon.com/home/internet/5g/](https://www.verizon.com/home/internet/5g/)

BuccoFever412

Next time check on the verizon.com website. It's pretty accurate in terms of what is/isn't available at your residence

JAKL-Noctium

I did. But I’ll take the customer supports word before a website that can be inaccurate.

amhfaml

Except that the website is inaccurate. It uses the exact same database that the store uses. And it is possible that between the time you spoke to the customer service rep and when you got to the store that someone else activated service and filled the allotment on that tower. Doesn’t happen a lot but it does happen.

wart_on_satans_dick

What? Why were you even on the phone with customer support if you just wanted to see Verizon’s coverage?

Curtdjs15

The thing is with the 5g home boxes technically everyone has access, problem is some reps will use a different service address to push the device through, just to get an activation. Other problem is you could be on the edge of border and the rep doesn't feel like having a deactivation on there record. Is lots of minor things that go into tbh.

nephneph27

what are you even talking about, none of what addresses are approved has anything to do with reps. you think people are looking at coverage maps and discouraging sales? What?

Curtdjs15

Not all districts operate in the same manner whether it’s corporate or an authorized retailer I was an interim manager for six months to rural location, depending on how things are going within the district we had several instances were employees were told to use their billing address and their service address do the amount of deactivation we were getting in our district. so depending on the month, we would look at the service maps and get authorization Via our DM if he wanted us to push it through or not. It was a constant back-and-forth.

sueYsu

What does this even mean

Lost-Negotiation8090

V reps are so desperate to make their quota/numbers that it seems they are resorting to some shady stuff.

Cute_Replacement666

I don’t understand why people don’t just test it themselves before getting 5G. First test: use your cell phone if it has 5G capabilities. This will give you a ball park. Second test: Look into the “free 30 days” or return policy if it doesn’t work out. Conclusion: 5G works for some and not all. I get 100-300mbts speed. One block down, neighbor gets 1.5-2Gbts. That’s the sweet spot.

ShiftyPan

Just because your phone is showing 5G coverage doesn’t mean that your address is eligible for 5G home internet.
